Cells Cafe

Nice place ordered off menu board but it deferd to what we received. Staff weren't very rective to our concerns and just dismissed them.

All good. Owned and run by Nowayung, who do a great community service from McKean Street but also run Cells Cafe.
Top job.

Found this place by chance. We initially stopped on our way to our holiday destination, and we loved it so much, we stopped on the way back too!
My partner ordered 2 different egg dishes, and they were both delicious and cooked perfectly. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast, which was made vegan for me. It was fresh, tasty, presented beautifully, and cooked perfectly!
I live in Melbourne and travel, and I've had my share of ordinary or bad vegan breakfasts, or cafes that just say 'we don't do vegan'. So to find this gem of a cafe, and to find a girl who took pride in making me a lovely vegan breakfast, was gold.

Service spasmodic. Food good but some forgotten band then brought out in dribs and drabs. Not busy at the time.

Great little cafe in central position in town where you can generally get a park. Good general menu and friendly staff. Tables inside and out.

$16.50 cheese burger and fries. It had a beef patty, a few leaves, and 11 chips. No cheese, sause, pickles. Serious disgrace of a burger.

Excellent food with very generous portions, much fancier than I expected. Service was lovely and prompt!

Scrambled eggs on Sour dough with a side of bacon and a mug of cappuccino. All delicious. Front of house young lady was just delightful, friendly and so polite. Staff delivering food were very efficient and polite.
So nice to get greeted and looked after so well.

Went there today to have the lentil and sweet potato salad. Literally the best food I have eaten in Bairnsdale by far, difficult to get interesting fresh and delicious vegetarian options this dish however was perfect. I didn't speak to my boyfriend the whole time i was eating it thats how good it was, when i did speak to him it was to steal his food which was also amazing. Staff were warm and friendly also.

Moroccan cous cous chicken salad was ok, fair serving. BUT no discernible spice flavour, needs some more flav built into the dish. Brothers Carbonara was pleasingly al dente though likewise needed more flavour, it was dryish.

Ordered large flat white coffee and got a cup. Ordered another large coffee and half full of froth. Wont go there again

Nice outdoor area with a view of the Cathedral. Arriving for a late lunch seriously reduced the menu options though. The burger option was lovely and fresh but small and not filling at all.

Coffee, staff and meal was great, however i do feel they need to check the slices and tarts in the fridge! We were unable to eat the rest once we discovered what we did. Please be a little more careful guys.

I love going to this place, the food is always great and the staff are lovely. Pity they are not open on the weekends as well.

Lovely atmosphere with nice lunch menu and good coffee. Close to Kmart and Aldi which is important for us. Very efficient staff and service. We are never disappointed. Worth 4 1/2 stars.

Everyone else in my group enjoyed their food. But the beef burger was atrocious.white lettuce husk, lack luster bun, and a frozen manufactured beef patty that had the texture of a pencil eraser.

Interesting menu and great coffee. I will be back to try the food. It is also support good cause. I will update this post when I try the food.
