We were lucky enough to have Ray as our marriage celebrant a couple of weeks ago and we could not recommend him highly enough! In the lead up, Ray provided us with everything we needed to customise our ceremony, including a detailed questionnaire to tailor make it for us, ceremony suggestion booklets for us to read and multiple consultations on zoom. Ray was personable, professional and our guests absolutely loved him. In fact, many of my guests made a point of asking me where we had found our celebrant, as he was fantastic! While providing laughs, Ray also found a way to make our ceremony feel romantic and sincere and we are both so grateful to have had him there to officiate our special day. Thank you so much Ray!

Not only did he constantly communicate with us in a clear and timely fashion - he went further than that - popping around for a beer to provide some calming counsel at the peak of our wedding planning stress.

Ray had a tough brief with our unique wedding and absolutely delivered. He created a ceremony that was entertaining and captured us as a couple. His presentation with attire was top notch.

Ray was fantastic! Ray guided us step-by-step through the process and always communicated clearly what the next steps were in the lead up to our ceremony. As our wedding was a surprise, Ray was hidden as a waiter before the ceremony started and all of our guests thought it was awesome. The celebrant role of the ceremony was not a part that I had been enthused about - at weddings I'd attended as a guest I often found them to be impersonal, unimpressionable and merely there out of necessity. But Ray totally smashed my conception of a celebrant - right from our first meeting he understood exactly what my partner and I were after and added so much more than we thought possible. Ray is such a lovely, warm, easy to talk to person and his guidance was vital in the lead-up to the big day. He ended up being such a big part of our wedding, he made an effort to get along with our friends and family who all adored him as he seemingly effortlessly helped the day along. I could not recommend Ray higher, at the end of the day it'll feel like he was another family member.

We had high hopes for Ray from our first meeting. He promised that he would have everything organised but it didn’t happen on the day. Communication prior to the day could have been better. Attention to detail needs to improve. Names were mis pronounced and he relied on our guest to play the music which we asked not to happen. We feel his $1700 fee was too high for what we received. Celebrant, MC for 2hrs and videography. The 30 minute video luckily is pretty good.

Ray made our wedding day a breeze. His easy going personality made him a hit with everyone at the wedding. Ray supported us through the whole ride as we weren’t sure If another lockdown was going to spoil our big day. Everyone at our wedding said Ray was the best celebrant they had seen! He really gave a personable and warm feel to our ceremony. Ray answered all my questions and really guided us to what we would want on our special day. His communication skills and funny and warm nature made him a pleasure to have him officiate our wedding. As our wedding was always going to be quirky and off-beat, and we knew we needed a celebrant who could handle that. Ray came through for us. He was quick-witted, willing to laugh along with us and our guests, and happy to help us make the ceremony completely ours (while ensuring that we fulfilled all the legal requirements).

We’re sure he would be just as accommodating for a couple who want a more serious and traditional wedding, but if you want something unusual and fun, Ray will excel.

Ray was absolutely amazing! So many times did he make us laugh. He made our ceremony memorable emotional but also lots of fun and jokes. Highly recommend for a fun wedding!

We connected with Ray first time we met up for a coffee. We knew he would suit our style of wedding -stylish, with a good mix of serious and humour and that’s what he delivered. He was so easy to chat to and was supportive all the way. He also made it easier for us by being our MC.

Ray was amazing as our Celebrant and well and truly went above and beyond. Ray was super helpful in planning our Ceremony and made us feel comfortable the entire time.

Due to COVID-19 our Wedding was going to be cancelled and we only had 2hrs until the Government declared Weddings were no longer possible, we called Ray and within the 2hrs Ray was able to meet with us and close family to have a small intimate wedding! Really above and beyond, and very much appreciated by us and the family.

We highly recommend Ray! The entire process it felt Ray really cared for us, believed in love and marriage, and without him we would have been much more stressed.

We actually got married twice with Ray, the second a year later as we had originally planned. Ray was phenomenal, Ray was our Celebrant and MC and completely blew us away. Ray was basically our event planner as well on the night, as he was constantly working with the venue and photographers to make sure everything went perfect. Both times Ray made us feel very comfortable and took the time to get to know us so he could tell our story through our ceremony. Ray really helped make the day special and without him it would not have been nearly as good. We 100% recommend and thank Ray.

Ray showed enormous compassion and care to our family during a very difficult time. Ray navigated the family through the difficult funeral arrangements and did a wonderful job of conveying our Aunts wonderful life.

Our wedding took us by surprise in every possible way; it was a tornado of feelings, plan changes, cancellations and sudden opportunities. The only element that got us through it was this magnificent man, Ray Galea.

For us, searching for a celebrant was not easy - there are so many people and experiences out there, it is something very personal, and it is the only thing that you actually cannot get married without! We found about Ray on the Easy Weddings website, and were, at first, suspicious of all too-good-to-be-true reviews. What a mistake! Every single word written here is truthful and correct - do believe it because Ray is the most genuine, dedicated and caring, funny and friendly person, with a heart of gold. Ray is someone who understands how important this day is for you, and Ray is a person we would ask to marry us over and over again.

Our wedding plans got completely changed because of the introduction of stricter Covid-19 restrictions in Melbourne. We ended up having only 3 days to organise something we were planning for months. And the wedding had to happen, because we had an important trip waiting for us! Ray was first of all a friend - he was there to listen and to think together with us about ways of solving the impossible. We had to get all the paperwork ready in an unusual timeframe. He rang every possible phone number he could, communicate with magistrates in and outside Melbourne. He was determined to make it happen. In these moments of uncertainty and urgency, it meant a world to have someone to rely on, someone who knows the legal procedures and can clearly guides us through them. To be honest, we briefly lost hope for a moment. But then an email arrived — the papers were ready! This was Tuesday evening, one day before all weddings were banned in Melbourne!

The next day had to be our wedding day! We still did not believe it: Melbourne is in a lockdown, our friends and family far away, we are getting dressed and putting flowers around the house to make it more real, but it all looks like a movie script! In this enormous storm around us, getting married seemed even more important. To have each other, to tie together all those years we have spent and we will spend together. Ray was very much aware of this - the moment he entered through our home door with his suitcase, it was like the scenery changed instantly! The wedding became real! Our living room turned into the most elegant and special venue in the world!

We were 5 people in our house, and 15 on zoom, scattered all across the world; Australia, Greece, Serbia, and Canada. Ray engaged with our family over zoom like they were physically here, like he knew them for a long time! He made us laugh, he made us connect deeper with each other, he made us cry! The ceremony was so perfect that we now cannot imagine it any other way. Despite our reservations initially, it did not feel like a compromise at all! In the contrary, it was all so current and it was all there, in that moment; the overcasting shadow of COVID-19, a testament to how technology can bring us closer, the true value of human connection, be it between Ray and us, between lovers or between our family across the world.

This was an impossible task! It became real only because Ray made it happen; fist by finding the legal window of opportunity but, most importantly, for delivering it in such a fundamentally human way on the day!

Ray was the celebrant at our wedding back in February. He was absolutely amazing. He has a great outgoing character and is extremely friendly, as well as having great communication skills. He was very flexible with us and helped us with a lot of details in planning the ceremony. He is an absolute delight and pleasure to deal with. We were very lucky to have him do our wedding and I would recommend him to anyone!

Few can write a script with stories and anecdotes provided by a couple and then bring life to the story at the ceremony and entertain everyone. Ray is one of the few.

You get more than just the trademark white glasses (which I must add is very trendy). You get someone who is happy to take charge of everything at the ceremony and then more as we both were not quite sure what to expect from a ceremony. Ray guided us through the ceremony and whatever doubts we had whether it was too long and whether it was draggy was immediately dealt with and he made us comfortable knowing we had nothing to worry about the day itself.

Ray made the ceremony interesting and very lighthearted. He transitioned from funny to serious effortlessly and I am so glad I picked Ray as my celebrant.

Ray is genuinely passionate about his job as celebrant and his personality will bring a memorable touch to your ceremony. He certainly made ours special and made our family members feel included. From the first time we swapped emails with Ray, we knew he was the celebrant for us. His emails were prompt, clear and he was never more a text message away. Ray walked us through the legal paperwork and made it painless and simple. He was also punctual and responsive to all our online and in-person meetings. We had a very small wedding, but Ray made sure that our ceremony was fun, and light-hearted. He was full of energy and guided us through the whole process with a gentle and caring hand.
