We stayed in Apartment 6, which is a studio apartment. Lovely view of mountains and trees from the balcony, small but well set up kitchenette which had everything we needed for a 4-night stay, about a ten minute walk from the area where you can park your car (no parking at the accommodation, which is standard for accommodation at Falls). We booked directly through the website, all organised smoothly and we received a warm welcome from the accommodation manager.

We stayed in Apartment 5 for five nights at the end of August. The apartment was comfy, warm and well-furnished, the bed was lovely, and the staff that we met were all very hospitable and helpful. I'd be happy to stay here again. The only drawback was the scanty amount of crockery in the kitchen: 2 mugs, 2 plates, 2 bowls. It would have been nice to share a cuppa in our apartment with family members that we were at Falls with, but that could not be done. Maybe next time!

We had a lovely stay in Apartment 19 August 12-20. Location is great (even with minimal snow this year) and everything was easy. Apartment has been beautifully renovated recently and is well-appointed.

I'm thrilled to share our exceptional experience at Cedarwood Apartments in Falls Creek! Our stay in room 26 was marked by clean and comfortable accommodations, making it feel like a true home away from home. The manager's friendliness and eagerness to assist with anything we needed made our time here even more enjoyable. And let's not forget the wonderful coffee she provided – a delightful touch that truly stood out. From the cozy room to the outstanding service, Cedarwood Apartments exceeded our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a remarkable place to stay.

Apartment #3 was quite nice, clean, and comfortable, but the noise levels coming from the apartment immediately upstairs was quite frustrating. It literally sounded like people were rearranging their furniture on timber floors most of the night!

We loved staying at Cedarwood Apartments! It was perfect for our getaway in the snow & had everything we needed. It’s in a great location with spectacular views, close to the lifts, restaurants & everything in town, plus a fab barista coffee shop at reception.

The apartment was very well equipped, sparkling clean, has beautiful views & a lovely large comfortable bed. Narelle & her team are friendly, very helpful & made sure we had the best time away!

Highly recommend Cedarwood Apartments for your stay in Falls Creek. We had the best time & will be back!

We stayed in Apartment 20, the view from the balcony and bedrooms is amazing, especially to watch the fire works! The apartment is very cosy. It was great being able to ski in and out of the apartment!

Miserable and unhelpful manager who runs the place in the spirit of a correctional facility rather than a hotel (but charges 5-star hotel prices).

1) I sent an email asking a few questions 2 days before my arrival, my enquiry is still unanswered till today.

2) Kitchen equipment: dishwasher was not working and microwave oven was filthy.

3) On check out day, we were told by the front office “the manager wants you out” by 10am. While abiding by the checkout time is agreeable, the unkind phrasing was rather inhospitable.

4) We complied with the 10am check out time, however at 10.30am while waiting for the transfer my 9 year old son who was not feeling well asked if he could go back to the apartment to use the toilet at 10.30am but was told flatly NO. (They have no public toilets either). Poor kid had to suffer another 30 mins before reaching the next available toilet.

It’s a real shame as Falls Creek is a lovely ski resort and my kids had a great experience with first time skiing, great staff at all service points of the resort and amazing ski instructors, regrettably, our choice of accommodation marred the experience.

Don’t stay here… There are plenty of other accommodation choices on Falls Creek!

My family of 10 booked apartment 27, I arrived to check in and greeted by I assume the resort manager. She was friendly and nice at the start, I told her my sister is running late and if I could check in the room. Gave her my details and waited for part of my family to come up with the ATS.

We go to apartment 27 and this is where the ice queen appears. She cracks it, proceeds to yell because only 3 out of 10 family members are here. Complaining about in the email that everyone needs to be here to do the temperature readings. I briefly read the email before coming up so I must of missed it so I didn't say anything. Then she says 'we cannot use the apartment until all family members are here' and slams the apartment door in our faces. Half way down the stairs she walks back to the door and adds another remark "when your family gets here they can carry their luggage up the driveway" then slams the door again. I was in disbelief so I read her 10 page email with strict rules and it doesn't mention anything about all guests need to be here for check in. I called my other family members about the ice queen and to watch out for whats coming.

My other family member arrived and she got an ear full too by the ice queen lol! And then finally the remaining members arrived (they had kids) she was nice to them. Not sure what changed her attitude. The apartment was nice and clean with high ceilings, towels did not have the chlorine smell. I would of given this place 5 stars but the hostility and treatment received echoed throughout my stay here. Would I stay here again? Probably not with the ice queen.

We stayed in apartment 26 and it was perfect for our family of 5. The layout is very clever ensuring you can comfortably sleep a large family but not cramping the space and it's beautifully furnished. The location of the lodge is fantastic, easy access to the ski lifts and a great restaurant/bar straight across the road. The lodge has a communal drying room for boots and our apartment has a great drying room for all the rest of our gear. It was the perfect base for our holiday, We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay in Apartment 26. The layout of the apartment was perfect for our family of 5, it was comfortable, and spacious - such a luxury for on mountain accommodation.
Apartment 26 is on the ground floor so we had ski in/ski out access, and the drying room inside the entrance to the apartment made the whole experience skiing with kids so much easier as there was a dedicated place to store all their clothes, helmets and gloves etc away from the main living area.
Netflix made afternoons with tired kids easy, and the coffee machine made mornings easier for Mum and Dad:)
I would highly recommend Apartment 26, we will definitely be back!

We had the pleasure of staying in Apartment 26 on the ground floor which has been recently renovated and styled just right for our weekend in the snow. It has everything you need from an awesome coffee machine to a washing machine and 2 bathrooms. We stayed with another family and we all fit comfortably. It's right across the road to a newly renovated restaurant and close to the village shuttle. Can't wait to stay there again next year, highly recommend!

Beautiful view overshadowed by inflexible and unwelcoming customer experience.

Our stay at Cedarwood was hallmarked by stress, confusion, and a general feeling of being unwelcome.

When covid lockdown impacted our booking, the tone and lack of concision in communication came across as management looking out for themselves over their customers. The barrage of information in essay-length emails with red text left us overwhelmed.
Like others struggling through lockdown, we were keen to support small businesses and avoid cancellation fees. With Consumer Affairs defining a reasonable deposit as no more than 10%, it's easy to see why a 15% cancellation fee with no breakdown of associated costs feels unfair. Still, we maintained our booking with in good faith, trusting the following year's price difference would not be too great as no estimate was provided by the company. The rates increased $166 for our booking.

We remained hopeful for a positive experience and anticipated that management would be grateful for our loyalty in maintaining our booking during difficult times. This was quashed on arrival when we were quizzed on the content the lengthy emails and added to the feeling of being a burden rather than a valued customer.

We would highly recommend Cedarwood consider luggage storage options on premesis or provide greater flexibility with check-in/check-out times. We would have been happy to pay an additional cost for this service as the inability to store luggage made it incredibly difficult to ski on the day of check-in or check-out.

Despite Cedarwood requesting that we leave a review, it seems unlikely this feedback will be taken on board based on responses to previous feedback.

All in all we enjoyed our stay, the view from the apartment was stunning and the amenities were clean. It is unfortunate that our experience was marred by the general air of distain from management and an inflexible customer experience.

This was our 6th year staying at the Cedarwood Apts. This year we stayed in Apt15. It’s been renovated recently and it looks way better now. Its a good looking apartment in the corner with amazing views. The only thing we didn’t like were the chairs in the kitchen. Although they looked good, they were quite uncomfortable. Otherwise, the apartment was quite clean and cosy. Narelle was amazing, as usuall! Thanks for making us feel welcome! Lia

Short pre-Easter break at Unit 16, Cedarwoood. Spacious, beautifully renovated apartment with everything that you could need. Very cozy. Narelle was very knowledgable about Falls Creek and the surrounding areas. We can't wait to get back for some skiing!

Stayed in unit 3 for a week both in August and again in February to enjoy the cool, crisp air, bike riding and music festival. Apartment has a huge bed, fresh paint very clean with all you need for a week or two, including a washer and dryer for clothes. Beautiful views from the north facing balcony where the B. B. Q.is very appreciated. Not too squezzy and not overpricy. Well managed ]will come again.

These apartments were one of those recommended by the organisers of the Alpine Challenge and we chose to stay in Apartment 25 at Cedarwood. It was perfect for us and our adult son running in the challenge. 2 king bed rooms 2 ensuites. Lounge and kitchen had everything you would need. Spacious modern apartment with separate entry. Narelle is lovely, such a great host and super informative. We would love to return in ski season and highly recommend.

Due to some lucky timing, we had to inure the absolute hardship of being stuck at Falls during Geelong's lockdown last year:)

After all the lockdowns we endured last year everyone knows if your going to be stuck in an apartment (with those you once loved) the most important thing is space, space, space.

Apartment 17 was amazing, there was a loft with the bedroom (great space for the kids to escape to), gigantic lounge and a full kitchen (with dining table). You also get a view of the back of the lodge and get to enjoy a beverage whilst watching the beginners try to do the last run of the day on sore legs. Free entertainment.

We have been staying at Cedarwood for 10+ years have yet to be disappointed. The welcoming staff make it feel like a second home to us.
