Not a lot of places to sit and eat but very good food. Closest to authentic Mexican food.so FLAVOURFUL however it is quite expensive.

Food was amazing (Beef Tacos for the win)
Soft shell Taco that has been lightly fried to make it slightly crispy.

Absolute cracker of a taco feed! Me and Tess smashed the Beef, Pork Belly, and vegetarian tacos. 3 each seemed like a good fill, because we've been trying not to gorge ourselves as much recently!

The flavours here are all excellent, and the food is top knotch. The beef taco is delicious with its fresh fry crispy shell. It's a must get.but the atmosphere in the Melbourne Central store, and the tables outside is pretty basic at best.

This is a joint you'd go, smash a taco or two and bail. Or takeout. Service was really friendly, and the staff were helpful too.

Absolutely delicious tacos! The birria tacos were a standout. Casual atmosphere. Friendly staff. There are tables available in sheltered outdoor sections out the front of the restaurant

Ideally located at Melbourne Central, CDMX offers a variety of deliciously prepared Tacos, Quesadillas and Snacks.
The Setting is vibrant and provides indoor and outdoor seating amenities.
The staff are courteous and service is fast.
The Birria Tacos are tasty and juicy, with mouth watering tender beef that make you want more.
The Gringa (Quesadilla) is another delicious experience and a treat for the taste buds.
So if Mexican Street Food is your thing, then you cannot miss CDMX Taqueria.

Really tasty tacos. And the guac and chips was also brilliant. Only issue was few soft drink options.

The pork tacos were average.
Would recommend the fish tacos as the portion size was good and had great flavour.

Extremely disappointing food. We had all three non-vegan tacos, beef quesadilla, French fries, and guac+chips. The beef taco and beef quesadilla were greasy to the point of being soaked and dripping. The fish taco still had bones in it. Food was bland overall.

Staff was lovely though, and food was served quick.

I have never taken the time to leave a review for any restaurant, but this shop deserves it, i come all the way from mornington almost biweekly just to eat here in the city, the birria tacos are mouth watering and have never ever disappointed me, much like the rest of their menu, their fish tacos are the only fish tacos i have ever been able to eat they are fantastic and their corn chips are unlike any other mexican restaurants.the staff at cdmx are always incredibly friendly and never fail to provide an excellent service.genuinely the best place i have ever eaten at in my whole life.i am hoping they can one day open a restaurant on the mornington peninsula

A M A Z I N G! I got the vegan pastor tacos omg so flavorful i didnt even realize it was mushroom it was SOOOO good. The workers are extremely nice too! Coming from california i was skeptical of mexican food here because i had authentic there but no this is extremely authentic flavorful and tasty! Highly highly recommend for authentic mexican! Thank you guys!

We stumbled upon this place when wandering around and were really pleasantly surprised. We got a selection of tacos and they were so delicious! Would highly recommend.

Birria Taco: 2x Birria beef brisket, coriander, onion, cheese, salsa, corn tortilla ($16.00)
Papas Fritas: Crispy french fries and house spice mix with chipotle mayo ($6.50)

It was $17.90 between 2 people!

Between the birria taco and the pescado taco, the fish was my favourite!
Incredible fish batter with toppings that make sense! Shredded cabbage and pico de gallo keeps things fresh, chipotle mayo with a smoky spiciness that worked so well with the beer battered fish. All encased in a soft corn tortilla. I would get this again.
The Birria taco had a crispy exterior, with flavours that worked so well with their beef consome. Great texture from the hard taco. I do see the potential for the consome to be spicier, which I think would leave a really great impact.
Nonetheless, CDMX really works to maximise the flavours in their tacos which I really appreciated without being lazy (good choice when using soft/hard tortillas!).

Service was so lovely. We were sitting on the communal food court tables outside and they were happy to bring the food out to us.
I thought it was interesting that they don't have water cups, but if you bring them a cup/ your own bottle they can refill it for you! So I guess.they do offer tap water?

I am Mexican from Jalisco the home of Birria, I must say I was impressed and so were my taste buds.

Losing stars because you should accept cash! A cashless society hurts everyone and not accepting legal tender is not okay.

Hope in the wall eatery (some adjacent public seating available). Tried the Al pastor and birria. Tacos were dirty, grungy and absolutely delicious. Nothing high brow, just great tasting tacos (never been to Mexico though).

Delicious tacos. Had birria tacos and pork tacos. We came for a snack so ordered 3 tacos, ended up finished 8. Staff couldn't help but laugh when saw us came in for the 3rd time to order more. My husband loooves the birria, i find birria and pork both delicious and flavourful in very different ways. Best with chilli, and lime squeezed in the dipping sauce

Was a little disappointed in the birria tacos but that okay. I really enjoyed the papas fritas as they were seasoned really nicely and came with a sauce to dip them in. The birria tacos were a little greasy but the consumé didn’t have as much flavour as I expected it to have.
