Based off my order of the Kon Lou Mee Hoon with the Hainanese Chicken, it was an average experience. The Hainanese Chicken had no Hainanese Chicken flavour, or even chicken flavour, for that matter; it tasted like a frozen chicken thigh steamed up served with sauce. The lard dregs had the stale oil taste.

I wanted this place to be a winner, as the people seem nice, portion size was good. Hopefully, it improves and it could be a great local haunt.

It's a weekend, and when looking up for good "lor mee", a few places pop up but we have chosen this place, based on good review.

Service & Ambience [3.5]. It's not hard to locate this place. We took a tram (57) from Flinder station. There are ample tables and in no time, we have placed our food.

Food [4] Ok, I would say their lor mee taste is close to the one I had in Singapore. At first it looks alot but it mostly the yellow noodle and "bee hoon". We also ordered the special for the day - Crispy noodle. The gravy seems salty but overall is ok. The hot "teh" or tea, tasted powery like it's made from sachet.

We will be back to try their assorted "Kueh" and also other food in the menu.

We had Loh Mee which is my son favourite's. We also ordered the Chai Kuih, Chicken Curry Mee & Fried koay teow, all were delicious & we enjoyed the meal. Friendly & Great atmosphere.

Great Malaysian food with affordable prices and a good selection. Also try the snacks in the cabinets!

I think I’ve found another good Malaysian restaurant in Melbourne! The nasi lemak with fried chicken sooo good! Very good portion. The teh Tarik very good too. Definitely will
come back.maybe gonna get the hainesse chicken rice next time!

Highly recommended for Malaysian cuisine at North Melbourne. Portions are very generous and owner took time to have a chat. Will revisit on our next trip to Melbourne

The char kway kak and ying yong (only on weekends) were super tasty and authentic. Hard to find these dishes elsewhere in Melbourne.

Local restaurant and simple in nature. The curry puffs were a standout. As well as the other starters. Food came out very quickly. I'm talking witiin 5min of ordering on their table QR code. All did seem a little rushed. Be aware it closes and 8.30pm. Probably wouldn't recommend.

We ordered 3 Entrees and three (3) Mains plus 2 Teh Tarik. And We told the Waitress to give us the Entree first, then the Mains in 15 to 20 mins.
But our Foods came out All Together and at the same time. The table is SMALL.
It spoiled our Mood & Atmosphere.
In Australia, Entree first then the Main Course for Lunch / or Dinner.
Otherwise, everything Is OKAY.
(1) Foods are Delicious. Although prices are on High side. It is Okay.
Overall, We hive 95 %.

Super tasty Malaysian food. Had the Assam Laksa. Definitely the best ones in Melbourne. The curry puff was really good too - pastry nice and thin.

Authentic Malaysian food, nice flavour and good varieties. Highly recommend Char Yin Yong (stir fry rice noodle) and Hokkien / Loh mee (mixed 2 soups in 1 dish)!
