Van installed my timber floors in Mornington to the highest level. He removed my skirting layed my floors and reinstalled my skirting. My floors came up great. I have used Van for floor polishing before so as a repeat customer I am very happy!

My experience was absolutely horrible in every way. Absolute botch job. I’ve never left a bad review for anyone but I am now to warn people off from having to go through what I did.

I asked for non-toxic product and he used it anyway and lied about it. The finish was uneven and he missed large areas so some parts of the floor were done and others were not. Some areas were shiny, some were not. Some weren’t done at all and you could clearly see where the varnish stopped. There were chunks of debris locked under the varnish. There were spaces between the boards from uneven sanding. It looked like a child did the floors. No skill behind it.

Van came back a second time to fix the first attempt and the second was even worse. He came with a bad attitude and lied about the toxic product.

I then got an independent floor person to survey the job quality and they confirmed all the above and reported that the quality was well beneath standard requirements. They were as shocked as I was at how poor the quality of the job was.

I ended up getting someone else to do my floors and fix Van’s poor work which meant re-sanding and starting from scratch. In the end they looked immaculate. They were honest, easy to deal with and professional in both their demeanour and quality of work. It was night and day the quality of the work compared to Van. I highly recommend avoiding Van and this business, hacks and deceitful.
