Cat Protection Society of Victoria reviews
41Adopted one of the sweetest kitten ever encountered. Staffs were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you’re looking for well looked after cats. Settled in so well within 2 days.
My nieces cat got hit by car on Christmas eve, in alot of pain. She tried to get him into vet, but no availability. I left message at cat protection that night.they rang me first thing on Wednesday morning.
I explained my nieces situation, to the vet, and they booked him straight away! My niece said, they were absolutely, wonderful, and the vet was so caring, Friday (cat) had broken his hip in 3 places.
A BIG THANK YOU, TO ALL
The most amazing kind loving people and organisation bringing joy to so many peoples lives one cat at a time!
Wow what an amazing vet clinic. The staff are all so caring and there is a wonderful store attached with fantastic low prices. Support this organisation for all your cat needs. They go above and beyond.
I cannot recommend this vet enough. They have been absolutely incredible in caring for my two cats over the years. Truly, genuine compassion and care to animals and humans.
Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Has a really good stock of Royal Canin cat food - both wet and dry - and all types eg: senior, kitten, sensitive & many others. Has a good range of cat toys, food bowls, grooming tools and cat equipment like towers & scratching posts & climbing frames. We bought a cat tower and our kitten loves it & sleeps in it every day. Adopted our kitten from them and couldn't be happier with how it all went. Passionate people who care greatly for cats and kittens. There is even a small instore Cafe so you can buy a coffee whilst you wait. Premises are new and very clean with ample off-street parking.
Leaving three stars, because the team who work with adoption are really amazing and definitely deserve 5 stars, especially being so helpful finding our now sweet cat. The vet staff so far have been a big let down in terms of customer service and treating the pet parents like the humans they are. There was no sympathy from a vet in particular when our Kitten Vegas was advised to be re-surrendered after discovering an underlying illness and my partner and I were understandably upset. However, adoption team seemed to really understand why we were upset and when we were ready after countless visits helped up pick our kitty. Today a vet staff member spoke down to me in regards to a stray kitten (I found and brought him in for his second vaccination after having him checked out elsewhere the day of finding him.) in regard to him having ring worm, she insisted I hold him off the treatment table as if he had serious disease, it is a serious infection but he’s been treated well for the last three weeks and to act how she did was very uncomfortable. I can understand why but to talk down to someone like I’m irresponsibly spreading it was over the top. I assumed you’d wash your hands and clean your rooms after any cat visits? What a shame, adoption are so loving. I thought the vet would be the same…
I adopted my Mochi (formerly known as Magic at the centre) here on Thursday! All the staff were super super nice and you could see they all loved cats fron the way they spoke. You get to spend time with your potential cat/kitten in a playroom to see if they are the right one for you. Mochi is sooo cute and thriving! I hope to go back next year for my second kitty
The vets at the cat protection Society are the best. They call asap with results with any test they take. So glad I changed vets.
Sally my cat thinks so too
Peta, is Sally vet. Peta, takes the time and a carm approach with Sally. Peta, made Sally so comfortable on her first visit tests Sally was so relaxed she crossed her front leg.
Sally is 16 I have never seen her do that with other vets. Sally chooses Peta, to be her vet. That was the sign her crossed legs told me that she comfortable with Peta.
Sally And I send many Thanks to Peta. You won her heart and mine too.
What a great vet you are
Such a welcoming haven for our cats. It’s was my cats first time in a carrier and she was quite distressed but the Vet had her calm and relaxed within a moment and then treated her. It’s a half hour drive but we’ll worth it for the 5* care.
I have adopted two kittens from them, great service, you can wander around and meet the kittens and cats, have a play and see which one you have a connection with
They offer a lot of support once you've taken your cat home. And they have a store with food, beds, toys etc. The only problem I had was that it takes such a long time to sit on the phone before you can talk to someone.
Lovely customer service, so supportive and informative of all the kitties, we have 2 gorgeous cats that we have adopted form CPSV.
I adopted a little black cat named Blade and he is the cutest thing you will ever see. The adopting process was really impressive. I highly recommend you to get your cat their if you haven’t.
We purchased our gorgeous Beatrice from here. She wasn't there for long but they definitely knew a lot about her. Not just the medical side but her personality. It's lovely to know they take the time to really get to know the cats that go there

It is a lovely new building with Cafe. So you could check out the cats to adopt while having coffee.
Very professional and caring staff. Most importantly, appointments are available in close range and prices for procedures are very affordable.
Have adopted many cats here over the years and it is a wonderful organisation. Since the renovation a few years ago it looks amazing and has much better capacity.
