Castellos Foresters Arms Hotel reviews
36 Barramundi was cooked to perfection very rare for a pub or restaurant for that matter
All other meals also met approval. Great service bar andvtable
Disappointed with the fisherman's basket but the service from the staff was fantastic
A gem in the suburbs. Great menu and always a good variety of weekly specials. We've tried most of the menu and are yet to be disappointed. Recent addition of sharing platters are great for 2-3 people.
My wife and I had another lunch on Friday June16 and it was just as good as last time. It's now on our regular list of good food venues presented well by friendly staff
My wife and I had lunch on Friday, May 19 and it was quite an eye opener. Not having been there for several years we were both delighted with the transformation of the interior and then, the food!
Excellent - well presented and hot - and a delight to eat. The service, both at the bar and the dining room, was cheerful and very professionally served. I do recommend the Foresters Arms for anyone who wants value for their dollar. We'll be back for sure.
Here for Sunday dinner. Just made it for happy hour. We've been here a few times. Place was empty except for 2 droning drunks. A manager, I presume, with green hair stuck us next to these two. When I asked to be moved, we were stuck next to the toilets (everything else booked?) Food (linguine, roast lamb, seafood stew) all well received. Staff very good. The experience of coming up against this man means we won't be back. Pity, but there better places locally. Try the Clayton Hotel on a Sunday night
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner celebrating at the place we had our first date 48 years ago. Went with some trepidation after reading reviews but any fears were soon allayed by the friendliness of staff and the high quality of our (seniors’) pub meals. Consequently we stayed much longer than we expected. A most enjoyable evening.
We had a lovely relaxed lunch there this week and as usual, the staff were friendly and our meals were great.
Lovely staff. Separate room for our party. But, the food let us down, underseasoned, bland, coffees were only Luke warm
Staff are friendly and attentive but food is below average quality and lemon squash was poured from an open bottle without explanation; why no post mix? !? !
Nothing special, 1st time there very quiet for a friday. We had the chicken parma and the porterhouse steak. All dishes were edible but thats about it.
My wife and I went in for lunch today. We used to go in regularly many years ago when we lived in the area and decided to pop in to see what had become of the place. So glad we did. Staff were brilliant, very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent, well-cooked and nicely presented. We'll definitely return next time we are back that side of town.
The interior was beautiful! Very modern and sleek inside, although the atmosphere was a bit of a let down.
For a Sunday lunch, I expected more of an atmosphere, for it to be busy and bustling, but it was super quiet. I had a small group of friends to celebrate my birthday, and it was average to say the least. I ordered the roast lamb, and it was a little chewy and not warm. My partner ordered the steak, and the steak was a generous serving, but the chips on the other hand was not. It almost looked like they counted out the chips.
The menu was pretty limited and pricey to say the least. I wished all the food came out at one time, but it didn't, which left awkward gaps in between our meals.
Not sure I'd return again, overall, a pretty average experience.
Future amazing hospitality staff looking for work - Wrong venue DO NOT WASTE YOUR SKILLS believe me! Thank me later! Dear management don't reply back. You already know why.
After a long day of work wanting to sit down with a cold beer, ordered an Entree then a Main thinking they will send the entree then the main.
Both come out together, when questioned the answer was Ah yeah they came out as entree and main but you can do it? Seriously?
What's worse than 1 cold meal, trying to eat 2 meals going cold and hard. Bad service sorry
Went there for lunch, great service (very attentive), great food (porterhouse steak cooked exactly how I ordered & fresh calamari). Splitting the bill was no issue and great coffee to to round it off
Their sucurity guard refused me entry because he mistook stroke symtoms for intoxication. After another patron argued my case he changed his mind. Not a nice feeling. First time I have been singled out because of my disability.
Always love a visit to the Foresters Arms. Friendly service. Good meals and pokies if you wish.
Typical Aussie pub with bar, pub food and pokies. Was quiet for a Thursday night. Staff are friendly and quick to serve. Was expecting more chips with my parma but alas not to be. If you're after something quick and simple pub meal its a good place to go.
Great food and friendly staff - the waitress who was serving us impressed us by remembering all of our drink orders each time
Visited there at lunch today, and was served by a young dark brown long hair young lady. No greeting. When i said hi to her, I did not get a respond or a thank you.
Remember you need customers, custoners don’t need you.
At least smile and greet your customers.
Won’t be coming back there again
