Cash Converters

Went after lunch on 18 Dec 2023 and Josh was the fella who served me while pricing my bag of swag. Chit chat flowed of what things he's seen pass through this store and it was a lark.

Anywho, day-to-day, yeah, this fella knows his stuff. Happy with the price but happier with how he managed my expectations on how much it'd be priced to be.

Absolutely shocking,
Everyone needs to stop using this company.
Was just offered $150 for a portable air con I payd 1500 for.
It's now worth $800 ok sure but an offer of 150 is not just insulting it is straight up Robbery.
That is not even a 3rd of the 800.
Crooks would give meatleast a 3rd and that no word of a lie.
Today will be the last time I ever visit this white collar crook company because that's all they are taking advantage and underpaying people in need of money. Shame on your company I wish with all my should it collapses. Man who served me was poilte this is not personal I just hope cash converts really suffer somthing drastic and they start to treat their customers fair

The Arab looking woman with the fake lashes that are a metre a long and cold sore is very rude and needs some customer service training. Very bitter unpleasant lady. If she does not like her job maybe she should look elsewhere or stay at home.

Every time Ive dealt with this store the staff have been as useful as Scott Morrison during a pandemic.

Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful when I purchased my first DSLR. Price was really low compared to other stores. They offered for me to try the camera before purchase and charged the battery for me so it was ready for use straight away.

Definitely going back to buy more from them!

Martin and the team are always friendly, accommodating and fair with prices, whether I'm buying or selling. Great bargains and a variety of goods for everyone. Thanks guys

I put a few items on lay-by, then had something really bad happen that traumatised me badly & I was staying 150kms away with my parents, spoke to staff at least 3 times explaining what happened and that I wouldn't be able to come in for a while, they all were great and very understanding, said it was OK and no problem, then I received a call from Martin, he was narky, dismissive and spoke over me, he told me my items had been put back in stock but if I came within a few days I could have them all back. I kept asking why didn't someone call me before putting things back in stock, Martin said that's what he was doing now. I will never again buy anything from Cash Converters and will tell everyone never to deal with them.

My former laptop now gets a new lease on life. I could have tried selling it on Ebay but that would have required me going to an IT store to have the memory properly cleared first and having to muck around with postage and potentially buyers changing their minds on me. Not worth the hassle. Farewell laptop. You served your purpose for me. May you now bring your new owner prosperity <3

They couldn't give me the price I wanted but I still bought it, their attitude and customer service is awesome. I'll definitely be back

Despite the way it works now with not getting much (put mildly, sorry cash converters!) on items you sell I was impressed by this store as the person serving me had a good attitude. I can't fault them due to the store's bad policy of giving you next-to-nothing on selling DVDs so "credit where credit's due" at least I got something as I'd no other option-couldn't give the DVDs away or I would have. Store location of note as it was alot easier to get to & near public transport in the Melboure suburbs.

Great customer service. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and assisted with every aspect of the purchase from the telephone call to putting a rubber band on the cord of the heater I purchased. Thank you!

Simon was Super helpful, went out of his way to help me choose a camera lens and even helped me charge a camera battery so I could try different lenses out before deciding on my purchase:) probably would not have purchased without Simon’s excellent service. Thanks Simon!

Losers to deal with i am a returning customer, fobbed off without much regard at all.dodg and expensive. Downright thieves.

Went in at 1pm to get an $800 Personal Loan, waited 5 mins for him to finish serving the person in front of me, 20 mins later all completed, 60 mins later money in my account. Now that is FAST!

Went to buy an item. They scanned it and said it's not available for sale because it's still waiting for police clearance. Why have something on the shelves you can't sell? And then make it out like it's my fault and my problem? Nice one, Cashies.

Its so sad how I was treated at Cash converters Prahran. I won't be going back if I'm ever in need again. This man that served me made me wait hours to suffer to get the money. Like they want to see how bad you want it. There is a man George or Georgie not sure correctly. He is an asian man in loan/advance department and he is horrible. Please stay away from him and see a lady named Pam! What the other reviewer mentioned is very true. The man I saw has low self esteem issues an wants to see you on the floor begging for money. That makes him happy. Its either yes or no. Sad thing about these place is some of them are on a power trip and enjoy it. I have been to another pawn store in Moorabbin and I can't believe the difference. Such nice People and your not there a whole day begging. They say yes or no but really try help you. I appreciate that and will always honer my loans. I was going to pay back most if not majority of the loan and then next pay, pay the rest off in full. But now I won't be and I will be calling head office and expressing the abuse on me that I went through was very traumatic for me. I could tell when I went in there the other day this loan man was trying to stress me out taking a very long time to do things. He was going back and forth to his "manager" which I don't believe for a second.coming back and saying ohhhh his making it hard for me. Over such a small amount of money! When the other loans man took over my case.funny enough there was no "manager" involved he just said did you want only that or more? Isn't that funny. I am always a friendly bloke. I was nice to him though sadly he was playing a game. I saw a lady Pam a couple times and she was so friendly and great! How this man treated me I won't forget. Another loans man and pam was more than happy to help me. Unfortunatly I saw him. He was not going to see me leave that place with the money I wanted. Also anything I said he would twist my words and try to stress me out like I wouldn't get that loan now because what I said. Back and forth. One minute he would make it like it was going to happen and the next it wasn't. Cash Converters Prahran! He is horrible! He embarrassed me, he made me feel so bad about my self. He even called me SHADY! I was not trusted on anything he checked my phones, everything! Disgusting. Did all that over many hours to give me still the same small amount! I cried to my car. Ive never been treated this way.ever! I will be posting my review on multiple sites and blogging about the incident as well. I won't let this pass. You can't treat humans like this. I do know karma will treat him well! He loaned me money that was so little it was embarrassing. Another gentlemen took over and he said did you want more than that? But of course George butted in no thats all. Total waste of a day and the sicking part I saw in his eyes he enjoyed every part of it.but thankfully there are places to take it further. He should not work for your organisation! And I will not stop communicating the straight out abuse towards me from him until something is done!

Never went back to this store after a horrible experience. A salesman was stocking the electronics cabinet, and I was waiting for him to finish so I could look at iPods. A saleswoman came up and whispered loudly for him to look out for me because I was clearly going to steal. I complained to their manager and was told I misheard her. Staff are horrible here and management don't care. Avoid.

These guys are a joke. They have low self esteem issues and low ball your offers like your bringing in junk. Close these guys down no respect or integrity. What customer service is this.

Wow I have been to a lot of cash Converter stores. But this store is better than all rest put together the prices r great the staff r so WONDERFUL they have gone above. & beyond 4 me so VERY HAPPY special mention to Martin Daniel Callan & Adnan U guys r the best l would recommend go to this store they beat the rest && l guarantee anyone who goes there will AGREE THANKS HEAPS GUYS WELL DONE 1 VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER ROSE
