Cash Converters

This store is full of scammers, webstore and mangers are useless and rude. They sold me a faulty s22 ultra online from their website, Sim cards don't work in it at all. This was not stated on the sale ad at.all.
I called them up about this, they were rude and promising things they could not offer for me to send it back they would swap it for another.well, I sent it back and they said oh hey its working so we will just refund you.that is a lie, I have video proof of two sim cards Optus and boost of it not working. They show no proof and just keep lying, so I'm out of pocket. BEWARE of these people, shop elsewhere trust me.case number CC-6560

So I called them to give me a ball park quote on a laptop. The guy tells me I can’t tell please bring it in. I go in, I kid you not, they throw me the most insulting offer known to man. Apparently 2020 razer blade worth less than a second hand switch. Keep doing what you do the best and pray on vulnerable people instead of running a real business

I have used the Moonee ponds store several times over the years & found their staff friendly & knowledgeable.
I have always walked away with a fair price for what I've been looking to sell.
I would highly recommended this store.

Absolutely horrible sold me a faulty Nintendo switch tried to return it during my warranty and wouldn’t take it back and only offered me half my money back would not recommend coming here and will not be coming back to this store ever again absolutely disgusting and rude when trying to explain what was wrong!

I bought an item recently off the cash converters website which came from the Moonee Ponds shop. Item arrived very quickly, in exactly the same condition as was advertised and I got a great deal on the price too. Very happy with their customer service!

Terrible customer service, sales staff will just try to rip you off - no surprise being a cash converters but would recommend anyone considering selling their stuff to try anywhere else first.

I recently saw an item on their Gumtree account which was literally priced higher than new RRP. The same item was available in a variety of music shops so I politely messaged them with a link and asked if they were negotiable. They replied back with a new price, but it was still so close to the new retail price that I told them I’d be better off buying new so I would get a full warranty, box manual etc. They chose to ignore my message (fair enough). I’ve since messaged them again twice now, politely asking for a more reasonable second hand price and they’ve simply decided the best course of action is to straight up ignore me. I can see that they have viewed my messages, apparently it’s simply easier to ignore a potential buyer. I had money ready to go. I was polite in every interaction with them.

I work in the exact same industry as this company, and never once ignored a potential customer query and in fact I made sure that I would reply to every question in a timely fashion. It’s not that difficult.

I have come to the conclusion that Cash Converters only care about profits and couldn’t care less about giving people a good customer service experience. I realise that that is a sweeping statement and is not indicative of the many great staff members their stores have, but as a whole, it’s obvious that they’d rather try and milk every last cent out of a product.

I’ll give other more deserving second hand retailers my business from now on.

I called 4 times trying to inquire about an item sold by this store on gumtree. Got immediately hung up all 4 times. No words have been exchanged. They just picked up the phone and hung up.

Thanks to the team at Cash Converters Moonee Ponds. They were good to deal with, and offered us quite a competitive price for a gold ring we were selling.

The staff have been really rude lately and it is really over priced, when you tell them it’s over priced they get offended. Some things you can buy brand new for the price the have there for second hand

I came though and explain to sales assistant that I have a laptop to sell but with AZERTY key board.
I asked if it was possible.
They could jusy told me that they don't buy with an AZERTY Key board.
But they said yes come with and they Ifirst tlook at it and just no we don't take AZERTY kay Board. Ilost time. What ever they are nt interested by. JUST don't make westing time

Hi Brad just wanted to say big thank you, I purchased a VHS cassette player and Brad assisted me with giving me details on how to convert my VHS tapes to DVD/PC and took the time to search the web for me and told me to call him if I needed further help, which I did! You really went beyond and above taking my numerous calls to try to assist me, your a star thank you Jo:)

I have been a customer whom sells for over a year now at this particular store Moonee Ponds. I am an educated professional, whomp time is valuable.
In store one day and o saw an item which was about to go on sale - a full body maniquin the lady Rachel advised she would advise me when ready to purchase. I received a call from her a message stating it’s ready along with a text message. I called the store back and spoke to a staff member who said he would put on hold for me. I drove 30 mins today to collect only to be told the legs were broken and throw out. This was an extremely frustrating experience as the staff members took not acounatablity nor did I receive an apology. Perhaps they may need to realise people are busy and have time restrictions. I spoke my mind advising communication is the key and an abnoxoius older male basically told me to “get out” in front of fellow customers making me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. I know my dale may not be grows breaking however the lack of customer service in this store was a joke.

Came in grumpy, left and an iphone and a smile.the staff member who dealt with me was exceptional, she managed my query well, made a reasonable offer on my goods then increased it after she discovered some addiotnal information about it.

Seriously, this is an honest establishment, but only because the people working there are so nice.

Purchased generic xb xbox one controllers salesman assured me the quality wasas good as original Xbox one controllers
They were of very poor quality controls not good at all
Would not refund or offer store credit
Will not purchasing from Moonee ponds again

I've been here a couple of times for cash advances recently. They are very slow to get through the process (over 20 mins) even though I've been here before & my circumstances haven't changed & the loans I ask for are the same & I've never defaulted. They don't seem to have any concern how slowly they work or how long they keep customers waiting whilst they process a cssh advance application. I have not been refused a loan or kicked out of this store (yet) as has happened in 3 other cash converter stores. This store now opens on Sundays.

Great store with brilliant staff who are always trying to give good prices if treated respectfully, especially nicholas and the hindi manager.
