Casa Del Gelato reviews
45Have been going to the casa de gelato for many years, have always been impressed and loved the place, the vibes and the unusual flavours. Today, the waffle cone was stale, Paid $9 for 2 half scoops.quite disappointing.
Flavours were fairly bland unfortunately
Customer service was fantastic though, and a great location next to the park.
We had a total of 10 different flavours as we all had a double flavour cone.
Lots of dairy free options
Definitely the best icecream I have ever had. May not look as fancy as the other icecream places, honestly the best tasting icecream and gelato - you will not be disappointed!
Wow, seen the menu and knew i had to visit, purchased some different flavours.
The fruit flavours are great but the cream type gelatos are a let down.
Casa Del Gelato is the olderst authentic Gelato shop in Melbourne. They have the most variety of flavours out of all the Gelato shops.
Also this shop is the least sugary healthiest Gelato so far.
My go to place in decades
Best gelati in Melbourne. Always a fantastic selection to choose from and so creamy and delicious Yummo
Casa Del Gelato is the perfect gelato place and believe me, I've been to quite a few. I have been going here for over 10 years and the quality has always been high and consistent! The range of flavours is huge and caters to all types of people.
If you're indecisive, you can sample the different flavours and if you still can't decide, never fear because you can select up to 3 - 5 flavours depending on what size cup/cone you get! The portions are extremely generous too so it is fantastic value for money.
All of the flavours are absolutely heavenly, my favourites are choc mint, ferrero, pistachio, tiramisu, cookie crumble, wild cherry and lychee. Seriously, try this place; it is the absolute best in Melbourne.
Great services. A hidden gem in Carlton. Great range of ice cream and fantastic non dairy collection including soya based ice cream.
My daughter and I, ate soy ice cream pistachio and nocciola, and after 30 minutes we felt terrible with severe abdominal pain. You should check your ice creams so as not to make people feel bad, A nice fine would not hurt. Never again. One star is too much.

A bit disappointed this time, the quality is still perfect but those scoops are a bit smaller than I used to have before (just 2 flavours for each cone) and it was a girl serving me, was not busy today.
One of the best ice cream place. If you want real fruits taste in the ice cream, then this is the place.
Best place to enjoy the real taste of ice cream.
Alot parking around. There is no much seating option.
Great ice cream selection and huge portions. The banana and the custard flavours in a choc dipped waffle cone was fantastic.
Nice gelato and I had come here many times before, but this time, the girl who served us had very little gelato for the medium container and wasn’t worth for the price that I paid.the container was hollow at the bottom and the gelato was almost the same level as the top of the container. Need to train staff better on this.
Was so nice to visit this place again after so many years! I had the coffee flavour and my date had vanilla. Made on site as it has always been. Grazie?
We had lined up at Beku Gelato along with a million other people and thought ‘nahhh stuff this’. 20 metres up the road was casa del Gelato.
This place was AMAZING! No queues and it was $6 for a MASSIVE scoop - fantastic. Heaps of flavours and appears to be criminally underrated based on how few people were there. If you’re still reading this…head in immediately. If you’re a diabetic and also looking at Ice-cream reviews …. Still head in.
I love this place, it’s my favorite gelato place.but unfortunately today i had a really bad experience here.i was about to order but i got an important call from my doctor so i immediately left to answer, i had to call back my doctor through zoom so i put my laptop on the table outside the shop and was on the call for 30 minutes.before i started the call, the lady who was inside the shop came out to clean the table and i apologized and explained that i got an urgent call she said it’s okay.i was planning to finish up the call and get back in to order gelato and leave.as i was finishing up the call, the shop owner (?) came outside and scolded me for sitting there for too long, i was about to explain what happened then he cut me off and went back to scolding me.i felt really humiliated, this could’ve been dealt with in a much nicer manner, especially because i was told it’s okay in the start.it genuinely hurt me i just went to the park nearby and started crying.it was really not worth talking to a customer so rudely in public over a chair and a table, a simple polite remark would’ve gotten the point across.
Worked up a sweat in the summer heat? Get down to Casa Del Gelato to quench your thirst and burst your taste buds. I visited this little beauty back on 17 March 2012.
Great ice cream, good service, criminally good value. The interior seems dated and it's busy, but well worth the visit.
Good taste and affordable
I’ve tried lemon, watermelon, choco mint and rhum raisin (I wanted tiramisu but the guy did a mistake and put rhum raisin instead)
Using bigger container and making ice cream balls would make it more attractive, instead of this
Wow so refreshing.great service, efficient.the gelato was oh my goodness soo good
Lygon st is definitely the place to go for mouth explosion excitement plus
