I would have given a higher rating however, our key deposit was not refunded to us and it’s been 4-1/2 mos since our stay last May19-24,2023.

$100.00 is no small amount, just refund our money asap

Made a reservation on February 28th which was confirmed by e-mail. A month after, I was suddenly informed that the reservation could not be confirmed after all. Had to book much more expensive accommodation as a whole month had passed.

Staff asked what time we’d be arriving at the property and we informed them with plenty of notice the time which was well within reception hours. The staff member was not there and we had to wait for them to return.

Very dirty. Our shared bathroom was cleaned once in our 6 night stay. It was quite frankly filthy. The shower was also tiny and not much room to wash.

The room was advertised as a double or twin room and we requested a double 4 months before arrival at the point of booking. The day before our arrival we were told they do not have any double rooms on site - not sure why this was advertised.

The bedroom was very hot - no aircon and we were provided a fan that was absolutely useless. The pillows were depleted and lumpy. We actually dreaded coming back to the accommodation each night and stayed out for as long as we could.

This is student accommodation so filled with young people who are noisy in the evenings and inconsiderate when cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen. Having said this, there was no anti-bacterial spray available to clean up after yourself which added to the issue.

There is also a kindergarten situated right next door which was noisy every morning.

The students also had a bad sense of personal hygiene and in all communal areas there was a foul smell of body odour which was not pleasant.

You are provided with one knife, fork, spoon, plate and bowl per person and a small locker/space in the fridge for the duration of your stay.

The wifi was terrible. Very slow when working but intermittent most of the time. I find it hard to believe students manage to do their work using this.

This place has also not paid our 100AUD deposit back and it’s been 3 weeks of chasing! Receptionists are not getting back to me. Do not trust this place.

Stayed here for 7 months. A nice cozy place to stay and make new friends. Perfect for students in RMIT and Melbourne Uni with easy access to uni and close by markets

A nice place to stay to explore Melbourne city. Close to shops, cafes, restaurant and Queens Victoria Market! The staffs are super friendly and helpful. It’s such a comfortable stay and highly recommended! Definitely will come back next time:)

Place is a station away from Victoria market. It’s super convenient getting to the city with the free tram. Place was clean and everyone is very considerate. The shared shower for room 103/105 has some issues with the heater so expect to wait quite a bit for the hot water. Enjoyed the stay there!

The place gave me a really comfortable rest and made my stay worth it. The people in it are so friendly, from staffs to other guests. The price is perfect as well, doesn't burn a hole in my wallet. Highly recommended for all.

It's a wonderful place with nice and caring managers, especially Stephen. The rooms are cosy and well kept. The bathrooms are neat likewise the common areas. Well done Carric House.

Very clean and quiet hostel. The Melbourne Central location is super convenient, with the Victoria Market only a 2 minute walk away. The Manager is friendly and helpful. The kitchen is mostly clean and you have your own designated cupboard and fridge space. The price is reasonable at approx $144 per week. At time of writing I have a 4 person dorm room to myself and have only seen 3 other guests over the past 3 days.

We had a pleasant stay in Carric house, excellent convenient location in front of Queens Victoria Market. Good price at the same time. Helpful friendly staff. Will definitely come back again for my next holiday.

The manager of the apartment is very conscientious and responsible. She helped me deal with everything I had, and her attitude is friendly. I think it's very warm here, recommended!

It is really the great place to make friends around the world. The staff in Ozihouse is super friendly. Location is very good, because it near to free tram zone and the rooms provided are very comfortable.

The good service and humanity. Changjin Lee, the Administrative Coordinator, is the one who benefits Ozihouse not only for the pro and good service in quickly respond/meet the requirement but, also for the humanity and sympathy given that made Ozihouse get the best image of reputation to the tenant.

My son got extremely sick and he couldn't keep his stay there and had to break the lease earlier and Ozihouse, exactly Mr. Jin, helped us to get the money back almost in full.

The staffs are super friendly. Residences are students and really nice. The room provided is comfortable. And the location is quite convenient because it is near the city centre.
