Carriage Cafe Seville reviews
65What a little gem and find in Seville. Absolutely lovely food and host's. Will be going back again.
Great setting, inside an old railway carriage, which was nice and warm on a cold Winter day. There's seating outside that is dog friendly, and it is next to walking / cycling paths. Food was good and served promptly. Will definitely be back.
Really cool atmosphere and staff seamed lovely. But coffee wasn't great (i didnt drink it) and small menu so we ended up leaving
I visited this cafe last year? ️ it was an amazing experience to have breakfast inside the carriage. We enjoyed our time here. You should visit it if you’re around the area
Great breakfast at extremely reasonable prices. Dog and horse friendly right off the Warburton trail.
After hours on a bike.the ice coffee and cake.was waiting for me.surprisingly cool place to rest, recharge and wonder.the history of that train carriage.who has been sitting in this seat?
The food was absolutely disgusting, the fried eggs were black and full of dirty oil, bacon was burnt and so was the bread. If you like food cooked with engine oil then this is the place for you. Place is ok to go and take pictures and have cold drinks, but food wise NEVER AGAIN
If I could rate service with more than 5 stars I would! I asked a waiting staff for an extra plate so that my wife could share a 'Stopping All Stations breakfast' with me, and the breakfast came to us divided over 2 plates! Such thoughtful service and very impressive, especially coming from a place called Hong Kong where 2 people ordering only 1 dish at a dining place may be met with dirty looks. Nice ambience on a summer's day too, and it has definitely made our day!
OK where to start? Nice spot, cool idea. But that's it. Carriage does indeed stink as many other reviews have stated. The food was TERRIBLE. I've made better food by accident. I got the 'pesto' gnocchi, and if there was any basil or pesto in there, I couldn't find it. Tasted literally of nothing, I thought my Covid symptoms had come back, and the gnocchi was like mush. I've never had such bad food at a Cafe. My wife got the porterhouse salad, meat was tough and overcooked. We were told we'd have a 20min wait. Literally an hour later our food came out. My daughter's babycino came out 45 min after ordering and was cold. Looking around the place you could see a lot of other patrons were getting annoyed. The staff we encountered were friendly enough. I'd steer clear if I were you.
An unique and exciting Cafe! The owner modify an old old train to a Cafe. Food is normal but very good atmosphere.
Nice spot to have a relaxing coffee and snack while enjoying nature.
Situated on the Warburton Rail Trail, the Carriage Café is a logical spot to have a break.
I had the trio of sourdough and it was amazing
Husband had "stopping all stations" (big breakfast) which really hit the spot
Great coffee
Definitely be back, so much variety and great value
Lovely place and very kind staff. Lunch options are limited but the place is wonderful to visit. Definitely returning with family for a short cycling trail, walk close by and coffee at cafe.
Great food at very reasonable prices, friendly staff, quiet surroundings and of course the carriage which makes everything more special!
The walk from car park is also lovely.
Well, we had our expectations. And they were not met - by a mile.
The location is very unique and probably best visited in summer. But be aware, dining inside the train carriage may not be as pretty as you think. The four of us found it to be quite smelly, like there’s nice scents attached to old places (think books and wood cabins) but this was not quite that. We visited during winter and I imagine it would be worse during summer.
After being put off by the odour, we decided to sit outside (much better!). The service was great, very friendly.
The food leaves a lot to be desired for. Two of us had the “stopping all stations” breakfast and it lacked even salt and pepper. The eggs weren’t really poached (almost like cooked in a microwave) and the scramble was overdone. The bacon was also burnt to a crisp.
We wanted their lamb ragu but it had been sold out (probably one of the good things on the menu). So instead we also had the pork noodle bowl and the grilled spicy-sweet chicken with sweet potato. Again, both were just bland, flavourless and not good.
I really wanted to like this place but honestly do not see myself visiting again, if at all only for a coffee.
A wonderful place to have a warming coffee and sweet treat, after a walk or ride along the Yarra Valley Rail Trail.great selection of savoury or sweet.
Very nice cafe located on the bike trail. Also accessible from the carpark at Victoria Rd 3 min walk. Pumpkin soup was great
Not happy. Meals were way too big and great value for money. Try to keep that just between us as we don't want everyone to knowing.
Awful experience, rude customer service. The food was very late and the staff were not appolgetic about the service at all.
Food quality was very average, quite like what anyone can make in their kitchen.
Would only consider going for coffee when is not busy.
It's located next to the Warburton rail trail. A great place to stop for lunch after a few kilometres of walking. Nice a little hidden gem, the surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful. Inexpensive but friendly service. Sweet chilli chicken is delicious, love it. But my friend ordered the rice noodles that size a bit small and lack of flavour. We will definitely re-visit it again.
