Carlucci's Restaurant reviews
47Quality of food is very bad, we ordered a few things, the steak was dry, the pork schnitzel was bland and the pizzas are very soggy and falls apart when picking it up
One of our favorite Italian restaurant. Good food, and great service. Can be busy, so book the table, as not to be disappointed.
The food was delicious, but they really jam everyone in. So noisy that I could hardly speak when I got home.
Great place, my daughter loves their pasta. The food is generally always consistently good. It's a very busy, noisy place so you can dine outside of that's more to your liking. Prices are reasonable and staff are usually helpful and efficient. One of our regular "go to" restaurants for a quick but quality meal.
The food was top notch, good beer and good vibes. Could recommend the Scallopini Funghi for a satisfying meal.
We've been there a few times before and it has always been 'ok' without setting the world on fire.
Last Saturday night was no better, probably worse. The food was just ok, it was very loud and the service seemed to me to be 'get them out quickly so we can get another customer in' attitude. One waitress was fun and engaging, the other two were lazy and terrible. At one point the waitress couldn't be bothered to walk around the table to serve a hot plate of food and just casually passed it over the table. The waiter wasn't much better.
We had our entrees, and they took the plates but asked us to keep the dirty knives and forks for our main course as they didn't have enough.
And the cost was expensive for what it was. Suggest you look elsewhere, from now on we will.
Don’t know what’s going on at this restaurant lately but I’m completely hooked on the pizza they are making, I’ve had pizza from everywhere around here and nothing is even comparing…
Keep up the good work
We have had a couple of meals delivered from Carlucci’s during lockdown and the value is fantastic and the meals very wholesome with large servings. We particularly rate the chicken parma and lamb pizza. Phoebe was also very helpful over the phone on Father’s Day with her advise around allergies and guidance in ordering.
I ordered ragu which only had two tiniest possible pieces of meat! Taste was ok but I didn’t finish it cos it was all pasta! Service was also poor. The waiter was disturbing us for collecting unused (to his assumption!) cutlery and other items on the table while we were still eating!
Went here for lunch today. Service, atmosphere and food was great. They initially got my order wrong and gave me a vegetarian lasagne instead of the standard beef lasagne that I ordered. When they realised they'd made a mistake they came over to my table and offered to give me the beef lasagne, despite the fact I was already halfway thru the vegetarian lasagne. I was definitely blown away. Would recommend
While every restaurant is upgrading their delivery service these days what this place did wasn’t good enough. My cheese cake was put in the thinnest white paper bag you can find, naked, let along the bag was wide open when I found it on the floor near the apartment entrance. Sustainable packaging is good but at least tape the bag.
Not as good as it used to be. Very very noisy, bit too cramped with tables. Went one night with friends, we couldn’t hear each other talk, and constantly bumped by staff as there was no room for them to move around the floor, which ended up with a plate of food on the ground
My husband and I have been going to Carlucci’s for a few years. Lately the food has not been up to their usual delicious standard and smaller serves. Our latest meals disappointed again. Spaghetti marinara had little flavour and four small pieces of seafood. The beef and reef had a charcoal burnt steak, minimal vegetables and the garlic
sauce was watery and tasteless. Has there been a change of chefs? Please go back to your usual delicious food and also decent size serves.
Great restaurant for tasty food. Fast, friendly service. Good range of kids meals and great desserts (at least on paper). I didn't really like the Fire Starter pizza as much as I was hoping - the sauce was too sweet. Will stick to the usual mexicana. Souvlaki was great.
Very friendly staff! Parisa in particular was awesome and helped us to select a delicious pizza! Thank you Parisa!
Yum! Always a great spot for after work drinks, catch ups, lunches, dinners, coffee! Love this place
This used to be a Great restaurant with friendly staff but something has changed recently and the service is slow and the quality of the food has deteriorated. Such a shame. This used to be the place to go to but I probably wouldn't recommend it at the moment.
Can't fault the service - fast, friendly and courteous.
Souvlaki was delicious. Nice and tender meat, maybe a bit more salad would've been nice. The fire-starter pizza was nice, with lots of toppings, but I didn't like the sweet chilli BBQ sauce. It tasted too sweet for me. Oh well, first time there, so you've got to try! Will go for a Mexicana next time. Desserts look great - next time! Always crowded, so a good sign. Definitely go.
The best food in this restaurant used to be Chicken Parma, but in this days the quality is gone a bit lower with tasteless Parma. Lower cheese and cream with Pastas as well. On the other hand, Risotto was amazing and will have it from now on.
Thanks
Well run cafe/restaurant with a comprehensive menu. Gnocci is delicious but I didn't have room for dessert although the range was extensive. Whilst it can be busy they have plenty of seating and serve you quickly.
