Beautiful space, great facilities and an overall fantastic vibe.
My only qualm is that the librarians are very chatty and loud.

Hard to get to by public transport.not a very spacious library but it has good study spaces and it’s quiet.the wifi works well.

I love this library. The space is great and cosy. However, it seems the only chatter comes from the librarians. I understand that they are allowed to communicate with each other, but no efforts are made to speak quietly. It seems inconsiderate for people reading and working. I spent 2 hours listening to a personal conversation at an astronomical volume. It is frustrating as they should be the ones keeping the volume level at a minimum.

I went to this library 2 years ago. The best of all, Wifi is free and perfect. There is a fantastic range of study desks and power sockets available for you to sit down and get some serious work done.

What’s good is that this library has easy access to transportation with trams running every few minutes.

A little library nestled in a beaut location adjacent to Carlton Sq and quaint cafes along Rathdowne St.

Great service by the librarians and great access to a computer and printer, the printer is pretty cool and easy to use, I’d give the prices for each sheet of black and white or color but I am unsure although I do know that it is cheap

Great selection of books and they are always happy to order in something they haven’t got from another Yarra library.

A nice spot to get comfy and read peacefully. You can find most best selling books, even the new ones are swiftly made available. The books are always in high demand so do make sure you go online and reserve. Also you can always get books transferred from other libraries from the comfort of your home. Best place for book lovers like myself who just come for the books and want nothing but to return with some more of them. The staff is super friendly and helpful too.

Quieter than most libraries with standard hours. Computers can be a problem. Every other day there is a guy sleeping at one (yes, in fact snoring loudly), another guy talking and laughing to himself quite loudly (not too bad if he is having a good day and not swearing) and another guy signing in a 2nd and a 3rd time when the hour or extended time have ended (not cool if there are people waiting!). There may be reasons for all the above behaviour and I appreciate it is a public library, for different people with different requirements. What is frustrating is people answering their phone and unapologetically speaking loudly and sometimes for an extended period of time. Perhaps, they should be politely told to have their conversation outside? That's reasonable, right? Rhyme time is quite popular with families so that is a positive and the librarians are friendly although a couple can project their voice. Overall though, in comparison with other libraries and on a good day (avoiding the 2 computer guys), it's a good library)

Popular rhyme time and story time for children on Wednesdays. The childrens librarian is fantastic.

Great library. Good sitting area to read a book by some big windows overlooking the street and a park across the road.
