Buy the spillage wine from other wineries that they are throwing out and putting it in his wine to save money. Is also supposed to be organic but uses pesticides. Pretty dodgy.

Drove out of our way to come for a wine tasting and we turn up to an empty place with a sign saying the pizza place has moved and to call a phone number for tastings.which we did with no answer or voicemail message with any info. No choice but to leave.

We had our mini wedding planned at the vineyard. Denise and team were brilliant with all the planning and suggestions for the wedding. Beautiful venue, food and staff was all we needed and they checked all the boxes. Highly recommend Denise & Carlei wines to anyone.

I was trying to organise a surprise Mother’s Day lunch at this winery and the service I experienced was horrible. I emailed confirmation on a booking 3 weeks in advance to make sure they could cater for me and my family. However, supposedly I needed to be proactive and confirm my booking again after a certain staff member mentioned they would get back to me.

We had my daughters wedding there recently. The venue is absolutely fantastic, the service was great with smiling super friendly staff. Nothing was too hard either on the day or in the lead up to the big day. Also the food was absolutely scrumptious.

Amateur hour at this place. The service is slow because there is no staff. They take event bookings that they don't have the capacity to handle. The pizzas are good if you can reach 6 feet down the table to grab a slice. Measly portions and the staff wandering in and out of an event for their dinner is unprofessional. Supervising staff are there by virtue of ownership, not capabilities. Really need to lift their game.

Had a fabulous afternoon today at Carlei Wines. Nothing was too much trouble. Owners and staff went out of their way to make sure our day was successful

It was my daughter's Holy Eucharist so we wanted a special venue to celebrate at.  I researched the website and Instagram and was very interested in the terrace. I made an appointment to have a look and was extremely impressed with the room. I was also shown the wine cellar room but both my husband and I loved the lovely view, openness, light-filled nature and ambience of the terrace.

After discussion with the relevant employee, I was promised that we would have a corner table and we would be able to bring in our own decorations to set up. A week before the day, I called to double check that we were in the same spot as discussed to which I was told that we were good to go. A few days before the event, I had another confirmation call from Sergio. Once again, I checked that we would be on the terrace and it was confirmed that I would be.

When I arrived in the carpark after the Church, I noticed that there were red and yellow balloons set up in the whole area of the terrace. As I walked in, all the tables were set up with decorations, crockery, cutlery, showbags, party favours.you name it, it was there! Someone in charge came to speak to me. She was a lovely lady who stated that there was a convention and they had increased their numbers only a couple of days prior. They were originally going to be in the wine cellar room but their numbers were too big for it. I was offered the wine cellar room to which I begrudgingly accepted. My daughter was understandably upset as her and her cousins wanted to experience playing outside and roaming the grounds.

I was never notified about the change until I arrived. I wasn't given any common courtesy which one would expect from any decent business. The employees were all lovely and accommodating except for Sergio, the owner. He is the sole reason for the one star review. The sole reason. Sergio approached me in an extremely irate manner, not apologising once for the mix up. One of his lines was, 'it's obvious that you won't be back so what's the point? ' Clearly showing that if there's nothing in it for him, then it's simply not worth it. Sergio offered a measly compensation for our experience. When he did finally offer a suitable discount, it was met with huffs and puffs. Quite similar to that of a toddler tantrum. It's a shame really as Sergio's employees are a credit to the business but his appalling attitude is enough to drive any self-respected customer away. I won't be back but Sergio knew that apparently and couldn't care less.

If you love an authentic rustic farm barn, it doesn’t get any better than Carlei winery. With an Italian themed menu & great wine to compliment, you will love the relaxed country feel of this place. We had pizza & platters & everything was delicious!

Wonderful establishment, wood fired pizzas are amazing! Great atmosphere, excellent service. We were here on a Sunday and there was live music which was an added bonus. Good choice of wines as well. Highly recommended!

We celebrated our 30th anniversary/vow renewal at Carlei. Stacy, Sergio and all the beautiful staff made it the most perfect night! From the beautiful venue, delicious food (plenty of it) amazing service from all the friendly staff…. It was just perfect.

Beautiful wine and food. Customer service is 10/10 and must try their in-house wine and pizzas. Beautiful! Definitely making this our hangout spot.

An amazing little hidden gem near to our place
They do some amazing pizzas and the ambiance was pretty cool as well. Just a star missing as coffee was slightly disappointing but I am sure it was just that day! Gonna give another try soon and try new things on their menu

We had our wedding here and it was a fantastic experience. Great vibe and atmosphere (even in winter), amazing food, and most of all, wonderful service. The staff truly go out of their way and catered to our every whim. Prices also very reasonable. Would highly recommend. Thank you Bec, Stacey, Sergio, Mary and the team!

We had such a lovely lunch, with some wine tasting first. Sergio was such a great host. Highly recommend, and can't wait to come back.

The entertainment was wonderful, staff was not able to cope with the restaurant. Food so - so particularly if you have food intolerances.

We have been to nearly all the wineries around Yarra Valley but never Beaconsfield.
Friendly accommodating staff at Carlei Wines.
Even though they were busy which is great to see and we made a booking for a wine tasting 2 weeks ago for today, they still fit us in. I highly recommend their red wines. We tried 4 of their reds each and we bought 2 bottles. Smooth tasting and reasonably priced. Definitely worth going to their winery.

Love this place so much. The food is fantastic, atmosphere amazing and the owners are the best.

Lovely location, friendly staff, delicious food and extensive wine list. Will definitely be returning.
