Great spot for a picnic or bbq. Don't forget to BYO as facilities are limited and weekends are usually busy but plenty of open space if you come prepared

Great place to take the kids - need a good wind jacket to wear and take the pram - you’ll need it 1/2 way

What a beautiful place! Family friendly environment with a huge lake to view and lots of wild kangaroos to see. Great peaceful place for family picnics, access to public toilets, if u can’t find a rubbish bin just take your rubbish

Beautiful park but no public toilets open for at least 12 months and BBQ were out of order. Very disappointing.

Beautiful on a fine day. Walk along the reservoir wall with stunning views, kangaroos and wildlife. Take a stroll on some of the many walking tracks, play at the playground with the kids or have a picnic. BBQ facilities and toilets available. Carry out your rubbish.

Get to take a walk or run on top of dam wall. Quite a distant to cover from one end of the wall to the other end. Entry read opening at sunrise closing at sunset.
You can catch stunning photos of sunset when weather plays up nice.
Entry from gate A is one way, for exit you keep driving a few metres and keep right at the fork. There is direction on your way out near the fork.

People were very disrespectful to others, few were doing bbq and a lot of smoke out of that, which brought tears. Management should put some strict rules if it create problem to the surroundings.

Best place to see Kangaroos in their natural habitat. Sunset is the best time to visit. You can also do a nice walk along the reservoir

A scenic location. Walk or ride along the dam wall, enjoy one of the other walks, or play in the playground. Cardinia Reservoir Park is a great location for young family outings.

Whilst it is a beautiful park, there were too many people who brought their own charcoal ”bbqs” to cook their kebabs. The kangaroo picnic area was full of smoke! How can this be allowed? Shouldn’t the designated areas be used for bbqs? And isn’t the charcoal bbqs a bushfire risk?

Amazing atmosphere with clean park, best for BBQ, if you are planning better do it early in the morning to get the right spot under big nice shadowy trees. A small track there as well along with good walk around the dam. Kangroo view point is there as well but you can easily guess there were lot of kangroos there in the night.

This place is amazing to spend the day with family and friends doing a barbecue or picnic. It's big, peaceful and beautiful. There is a kids playground and toilet facilities. We can also see wild kangaroos there. But they just appear close to sunset.
