If you want authentic old school fish and chips… this is the place to visit! They hand cut their own potato cakes on site… the fish is fresh and tasty, and reasonably priced. I’ll be coming back for more!

Thank you Arthur and Tennille (make that Captain and Tennille if you can remember back that far!) at Frankston for the excellent meal of Gummy {Flake) and chips that you prepared for me. It was perfect in every way and served with love. You are awesome guys!

Soggy potato cakes, dry and soggy at the same time chips, I was watching the guy on the burgers eating pieces of chicken out of people food he was prepping. What on earth first and last time here

What can be said other than well done! Crisp fish and chips always, amazing hand cut potato cakes and sides, but the hero is the epic lamb gyros, people are travelling for this food! It's a busy little place with great staff who keep the orders moving! After sampling a large portion of the menu thus far, everything is fresh, fast and fantastic. Great to have a place to sit down and enjoy your meal hot too!
The people are lucky to have this neighbourhood gem! Do yourself a favour and lock it in as your new fave for fish & chips and so much more!

Used to be the best fish n chips; now new owners the quality & taste has changed. Such a shame…

Have lived in the area for 7 months now and it has taken that time frame to get around to all of the fish & chip shops. But now have found the best by a country mile.
Yes it is Captain Gummy.

Food was overcooked and dry. Very ordinary. Nuggets were burnt to a crisp. Minimum chips was half the size of other nearby shops. Do not recommend.

The lamb on the gyro is phenomenal, you just have to wait until about 11 to enjoy it that's all

Unfortunately the chips were dry (maybe ice frost) and burger buns werent so nice. Sorry guys.its now been 3 times i have been unhappy. Customer Lost.

Best fish and chips shop in town. Lamb souvlaki is my meal to go to. Everyone greets you with a smile and always welcoming. Highly recommended.

Have always loved this fish and chipperie, the chips and flake are delicious and they make decent GSP's.

Very nice fish and potato cakes. The chips are like everywhere cooked ok but not crunchy.

The Burgers from here are great!

Great fish and chips - Normal or Gluten free.
Grilled flake is always so tender and GF is cooked separately.

The food from here is great, particularly the lamb off the gyro. It is a little on the expensive side and they get extremely busy, but it's worth it. Car parking can be very difficult at times.

I am really disappointed. I ordered through ubereats. First of all, whoever packed my meal put a large bottle of coke on top of the fish and chips, squashing them. My food arrived cold and soggy. I ordered because of the raving reviews but the presentation and temperature was disgusting. My entire meal went into the bin.

Best fish&Chips in the bayside area. Also Souvlakis are amazing the Staff very polite and Helpful just wait in the lovely waiting area while it’s been cooked. Always come here when I visit my Family.

So happy with our order tonight (souvlaki container). Was busy (good sign), but still great service and our souvlaki was so delicious! Lamb and chips were perfect, and the salad fresh (and not soggy!) Will definitely be going here as a regular from now on.

Pretty good, very busy. Had snapper, which was tasty. Chips are mediocre. Potato cake amazing. Probs will come back when I'm fishing on the pier. Staff are nice.
