Cantina Bendigo

Refused service at bar and table, directed to use QR code system.
Took over an hour to receive meals, even basic order of kids nachos then meals were missed and missing ingredients.
Terrible service from wait and bar staff.
Food was tasty, not enough to return with the poor customer service.

The food was acceptable but I didn't feel the seasoning anywhere, maybe other dishes taste more like Mexican food but in my case the burritos didn't meet my expectations. Customer service was pretty good even though they didn't have several entrees available, in my case the corn and chicken wings.

My wife and I had our first date night in months at Cantina. We had absolutely lovely meals, that were extremely good value for money. We will definitely be back next time we are in Bendigo.

We walked in for lunch when we were in Bendigo on ANZAC day. We had a mix of tacos - Adobo chicken, fish, beef brisket, chick pea and cauliflower, buffalo chicken wings, fried jalapeno and the chilli mango margarita.

The food was reasonably priced, tasted great and the service was friendly. They even promptly processed a refund when we noticed they had overcharged us. Definitely would recommend a visit.

Cantina Bendigo is a spot you don't want to miss for some tasty Mexican dishes and a cozy atmosphere. The place is decorated with a mix of colors and styles, giving it a unique and inviting vibe.

The Margarita was a tad too sweet for my taste, staff less attentive then I would usually expect in a venue like this, but that's where the disappointment ended. While the Fried Jalapeños were average, the tacos totally made up for it. Every taco has a different filling that complements the meat perfectly. Don't skip the cauliflower and chickpea taco!

The Chicken Adobo Chimichanga was packed with flavor, and the presentation was on point. Overall, I'd definitely come back to Cantina Bendigo for the food and the cool ambiance.

Ordered both beef and chicken loaded fries, tacos, deep fried jalapenos, wings and chicken power bowl. Wings had a very nice hot sauce. Food was good except the chicken adobo loaded fries where the chicken tasted fishy. Three people tried on our table and agreed and when I asked for the kitchen to check they said that they hadn't had any complaints today so it must be fine and offered to remake the dish using the same batch of chicken. Would've hoped that they would have at least tasted it. Still ended up paying for it aswell: (.

Amazing food! I will be dreaming of deep fried jalapenos and coconut margaritas for a while. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Will absolutely be headed back there again.

Food is ok, cocktails never consistent and always made totally different each time they are ordered, service seems to be very poor we arrived and didn’t get service for a long time so went to the bar to order our drinks ourselves and only got asked 1 time in 3 hours if we wanted another drink… Was pretty ordinary service but lovely venue.

We came hear about a year ago and loved it. Came back today and the dishes lack flavour/seasoning and authenticity. The deep fried chimmi was doughy on the inside and had no real flavour, the prawn quesa had barely any prawns. Probably will give it a miss next trip. Pricey as well.

Restaurant has a good vibe and yummy food. More little share dishes would be great. Enjoyed an assortment of taco's. Loved my watermelon margarita.perfect for a 38 degree day. Thanks for being open on a public holiday when most of the restaurants in town shut.

I understand things happen and I am not usually the complaining type but a sorry from them would have been nice

We usually do takeaways from Guzman Y Gomez. So wanted to try out Cantina. I was wary about the overall review score of 3.9. Well they proved it was right. Ordered a couple of rice bowls, kids tacos, chicken wings. I couldn't figure out aome of the veggies in the rice bowl. Later on realized that they have used the very hard part of Cabbage that we usually throw out. The rice was clumped up and mixed with some weird sauce. The chicken was meh. Paid around $18 for a rice bowl and still left everyone hungry. For this kind of price, Guzman Y Gomez offers much better value. The chicken wings were okay. Dominos ones are cheaper and tastier. Will not be going back.

Excelllent staff, relaxed atmosphere and really good Mexican food. My husband iwas really happy with the prawn quesadillas.

The food was okay, but the service was terrible. The staff doesn't properly service tables. The table was dirty and had to walk up to the counter multiple times. Also, saw many other customers doing the same.

5 stars to the lovely, attentive, helpful staff. Visited early on a Sunday night and nothing was too much trouble. Food was standard Mexican, impressively fresh and tasty. A great selection of wines by the glass and love the chic, industrial meets heritage decor, individual booths are perfect. Well done team!

So overpriced, yet such small meals, the waiters were uninviting. I received my meal cold and my friend received her meal without the added extras that she had to pay for

Great tacos! We loved both chicken options and the fish, and the beef was very generous. Loved it, will be back:)

Slow service! 25 minutes for our drinks orders both times and one other couple in the restaurant.

Most disappointing meal to introduce my Uncle to Mexican food experience. One star for the wine and one star for the Beef Nachos. Guacomale/corn chips/sour cream/salsa was a diminutive size except for the chips, the pork tacos took 45mins to be served and presented as thrown together and cold. Staff were pleasant and apologetic. I would strongly suggest to look for an alternative Mexican restaurant. Takeaway orders seemed to take precedence.

Went to order sweets and coffee only to be told sorry kitchen closed not once did anyone come and check did we need anything further or let us know the kitchen was closing
