Took my Omega Speedmaster wristwatch. Had the watch serviced 3 years ago cost me $630.00- After the service i used it twice at night & them only once more after 3 years. Used total 3 times in 3 years. I noticed the Chronograph 12 hand not aligned, it was 3mm out last week. Only noticed it as it was during the day. I went in to Canterbury Clocks & Watches. Saw Shaun who serviced the watch & explained the oversight the Chrono was out 3mm. This should have been picked up during the service when it was initially done, he made the excuse that it was 12mths out of warranty. I said it was only worn 3 times. Shaun said leave the watch with us. I returned after a week. Shaun placed the watch on the counter all done. Phone rang, he answered it talking for 5 mins. I looked at the watch thinking it was all set up (eg) correct time date etc, watch was not wound, not in date, time not set. How can i test the watch to see if all has been adjusted.
I would have expected the watch to be fully set up and to be shown that all has been rectified. This was not done.
I felt Shaun was rude, yes the watch had the 12 hand on the Chrono adjusted free of charge. I don~t think i should have been charged anyway. As such error clearly should have been picked up by Shaun during the Full Service. He did not spend any time to go over the watch to show me all was adjusted.
I was handed a watch that had not had the time, date adjusted.
I would have thought a watch maker would take more pride in his craftmanship. Very dissapointing, will definately not return.
I would have expected a little care & respect, after all i did spend $630.00- on the service, regardless if it was 3 years ago. This situation would have not happened if there was Quality Controll present at the time of the watch service, simple as that. CANTERBURY CLOCKS & WATCHES***NEVER AGAIN***STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COST***

Attended this shop to simply buy some clock oil and felt totally unwelcome. Guy in an apron queried me on when the clock had been fully overhauled and when I told him I’d taken the movement out and cleaned it he looked at me as if I had no right to do that. (a ‘what would you know? ’ look). He told me he wouldn’t oil it until he’d done a full inspection of the clock. I hadn’ t asked him to do any inspection of any clock! Anyway, this clock shop doesn’t sell clock oil. If I had only one clock left I’d rather throw it in to the deepest oceans of the sea than take to to this place.

These guys are a very knowledgeable and capable team of clockmeisters.
I inherited a beautiful 240V electric mantelpiece clock that has been in our family for about 100 years (and has not worked for at least the last 40 years) which Canterbury Clocks recently converted to battery operated quartz for a very reasonable price.
(Who really wants a mantelpiece clock that needs a power cord running to a power-outlet?)
The classy looking heirloom has now been returned to the mantelpiece over my fireplace looking every bit original, only now it actually works!
Thanks Canterbury Clocks & Watches!

Very Professional, great service, helpful advice. We couldn't be happier. Our French Empire Clock is now working perfectly given the age of it thanks to Sean and his expertise workmanship. 5 Stars definitely. Wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Really great experience here. I've never needed watch fixing but inherited my grandpas old Seiko watch the guys working could tell me to the month when it was made- April 1984- and only looking at it for less than 10 seconds! Professional and knowledgeable.

As per other reviews, my experience was poor. They are very bad at customer service and not much better at fixing clocks.
Took mine in 6 months ago. Haven’t heard a peep from them, and when I phoned they had no idea how to find my clock. I was told- without your job number- we can’t find it. Maybe this place is really an elaborate clock collection scam rather than a repair Center?

I bought a mantle clock from these guys the other day it is a sensational clock I have a few mantle clocks already and I would at the workmanship by them is probably the best.
Well worth the money, you’ve won my future business! They even took the time to teach me how to wax the outside and what wax to use so I can protect my clocks for years to come. Thank you!

Brought my watch in for repair, just a few days later I popped in to pick this up fully ready to pay for the repair but they basically said it was a minor fix so had just passed it back to me with no charge. Their generosity is very much appreciated. Thank you!

Today marks the day that every watch in our household has undergone a service, repair, or general look over.

Some of these pieces hold incredible sentimental value and each time I use the service of Canterbury Clock and Watches I am greeted with friendly and professional service - not to mention with a repaired/restored time piece that has never failed.

I have no reservation in recommending the team and encourage people to get their timepieces cared for by the best centre I have ever used.

The team are a credit to their industry.

Excellent service. Bought a watch online and needed the strap readjusted. The sales assistant was friendly and helpful, and took him less than a minute to adjust my watch strap free of charge. I would highly recommend this place for anyone requiring assistance with watch repairs.

Great service and professional staff. The friendly staff gave me the best advice to fix my wall clock. They even didn't charge for small parts. I drove for 45 min to get to their shop but it was absolutely worth it.

I took my Nana’s Zenith Swiss clock to get some advise on how to hang the pendulum as the back was nailed on. It was no trouble for the staff there to advise and instruct me as to how to do this.
I was considering selling the clock but now it’s back on the mantelpiece and keeping good time I’m really happy and will pass it down to my children as a family heirloom.
Thanks so much Canterbury Clocks
