Cannibal Creek Bakehouse & Cafe

Garfield is a great little town and Cannibal Creek Bakehouse has to be top of the list of spots to visit. Amazing woodfire bread, consistently good coffee and lovely menu. Great spot to sit at the outside tables while the kids can safely move around. Lots of delicious goodies to take home from the fridge and cake cabinet.

I've recently gone plant based and the staff were great in accommodating my needs on the day. I would like to see more variety on the menu when it comes to plant based options, but all in all, worth a visit!

Have often been to this cafe over the years and have sought to support them during Covid lockdown because they are worth supporting with extremely friendly and helpful staff, fabulous coffee and my favourite. Prana Chai. Their breads can be a bit more expensive than average but so is there sourdough far from average with a taste all of its own. Tonight they had a Take Away burger night using their own made rolls. Lamb for my husband and vegan for myself. We enjoyed every mouthful. How glad we are that they are within our lockdown area!

Lovely staff and fabulous food. Specialising in sour dough products they also have home made cakes that are really yummy. I particularly love the chocchip muffins- heated a little are to die for.

The food is top notch and the artisan drinking chocolate range is divine! I love coming here and watching the master Batista at work. The staff are also super friendly. Everything is locally sourced and the bread is made onsite so you know you're getting quality

Unfortunately there is nothing negative to say.just go there because it’s easily the best cafe this far Southern Metro.

I’m moving house soon and I’ve never been so excited to have a such an amazing coffee stop on my route to work, staff are fantastic and everything they do is great. The environment is so open and beautiful outside in such a gorgeous township. Can’t go wrong.

We had lunch here on Saturday and what an amazing place, so friendly and made to feel so welcome, all the staff were lovely in particular Matt (not 100% sure of his name) it was fun to banter with a waiter and our entire table agreed that not only would the food make you want to go back his cheeky banter and care would make you want to return also. What a great staff member you got yourself there.

Stopped by for breakfast with friends after our walk at Mt. Cannibal Flora and Fauna Reserve. Its a small cosy cafe but very inviting. I had the prawn chilli scrambled eggs and coffee and it exceeded my expectation. Staff were very friendly and the wait time was minimal. They also sell amazing rustic breads. Will be recommending this place to everyone!

Super friendly staff, inside/outside eating options, coffee was on point, breakie burger was tasty AF! The entire menu has a take away option as well.

The staff were welcoming and so friendly! The food was beautiful, they took dietary attention definitely worth a visit. We brought a loaf of jalapeño & cheddar baked in a 125 year old scotch oven, it was sensational!

After an early walk at nearby Mt Cannibal, we were in search of somewhere to refuel before the long drive home.
We stumbled onto the bakehouse by chance and what an amazing find it was. The smell of the bread and food when you walk in is heavenly.
Top marks for the whole team. We were so warmly greeted and well looked after. The staff are genuinely friendly and know their food.
The prawn chilli scramble with chilli mayo was delicious, the corn fritters had nice crunchy egdes and eggs are cooked to perfection.
The coffees are spot on, nice crema.

The breads on offer, wow, so good.
The sourdough rye is just lovely and the focaccia rolls are very tasty.

Incredible service and food. I’ve been visiting for years and will always make a stop in! Their fruit loaf is the best, their hot crossed buns if you’re around that time of year! And their coffee is outstanding!

A fantastic cafe at a lovely town, Garfield. Worth to stop by to have a cup of coffee, with a delicious plate of food. You can totally taste the chef's passion from the food. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. The decorations are thoughtful. We will definitely be back if travel around.

Delicious fresh food, great coffee and bread. Serving sizes are very generous and the staff are very friendly.

Chicken and Bacon burgers were very small and not much Chicken. Mug of Moccha was only warm. Think twice about buying a loaf of Oat & Honey Bread at $10;50

Diana, from Vladivostok, and Gordon from Main Beach, Qld were equally amazed at this wonderful place. Funny efficient and knowledgeable staff. Owners who have comprehensively "nailed" the concept. If there were Unicorn 6 Stars, we would give them in a heartbeat.

This crew excels in a niche market! Super friendly staff, great coffee, delicious food & the BEST gnocchi I've ever had. We love what you've done to the space and we love you!
