Camperdown Clock Tower reviews
13Amazing experience.but not for the feint hearted. VERY steep steps and lots of them. Interesting seeing all the workings of the clock.
Beautiful historic site. Thanks to Graeme who was a Gentleman, we are grateful you stopped us to show us around!
WOW, The view was worth the 100 steps.
The view of Camperdown and the communities around were stunning and disappeared into the distance.
The photos were taken while inside the clock tower and small writings of people who have visited in the past are seen on the walls.
A book is located at the bottom of the tower for us to leave our mark on history.
Saw the clock tower and went into the information centre in the old Court House. What an absolute gem, and the lady in there was fantastic. Such knowledge and so polite and keen to share. Very much worth a good stop!
This is a MUST see tour. Amazing and Fascinating. John U R a truly knowledge gentleman. Thank-you from the bottom our tick tocking hearts We will never forget it and you.
If you are engineer you must visit and see master piece. Its comparable to Big Ben.
John thank you and appreciate your passion for what you do amazing. Pl do visit
It's a lovely place to spend time with family and take pictures and listen to the old style tower bell ringing every hour. A place that reminds you the old Australia. All amenities around including the old Post Shop, Banks, Court House, shops and all. Don't miss this place while you visit Camperdown.
It's a nice place to hangout. The clock tower is right next to the boulevard and there's enough benches around the area. Also the ambience during night time gives a retro vibe as the lamps come into play.
Fantastic view from top of tower. Volunteer present on top floor where mechanism is located to explain its history and details. Donation of $2.50 per person. Plenty of parking available around the clock tower.
Some business have changed hands, others have opened.this site needs upgraded a local as it has so much to enjoy in n around the town.
I think Camperdown is a lovely town to visit. I particularly like Laffs. The lady working there is so helpful and there is lots to buy, both clothes and craft.
Great to visit and to learn the history. Fascinating insight to early rural living in Victoria's pioneering days in southwest Victoria.
As you drive thru Camperdown, this gorgeous clocktower majestically stands tall welcoming you. Total centrepiece of the main road. And if you wait the beautiful sounds fill your heart with joy. Worth stopping and breathing the history of this scenic Rural town.
