María is an excellent teacher and better person. Recently, I attended one of her calligraphy courses and it was a really good experience. Not only did she teach how do one kind of typographies she also told us a lot about the historical period of time. She showed to have an extraordinary knowledge and her methodology is so good specially if you don’t have confidence about your calligraphy’s skills. She is able to put herself in your shoes and she doesn’t have problem to help you or explain it again. Moreover, she made a lunch with Mediterranean smell

By lunch time of my first copperplate class with Maria I was hooked and I wanted to learn more, so I enrolled in the rest of the workshops last year, and I just finished the workshops for the second time around last weekend. I’m really considering to go for the third time.
This has seriously been some the best money I have ever invested. She is profesional, full of knowledge, funny and the food is yum!

My mom and I attended a calligraphy course with Maria and had the BEST time. We really enjoyed learning the background of the font as well as having loads on hands on practice and one on one time and positive critiques. By the end we were feeling like pros! Lunch was really great too and all the tea you can drink. We were sad when it ended and will hopefully get to do a weekend course next! Can't recommend enough, we both loved it!

I just completed a weekend with Maria and Carla learning all about copperplate calligraphy and brush script lettering. It was absolutely fantastic! Maria and Carla are both wonderful teachers. Very calm, funny and engaging. Both nights I have come home and been so inspired to just sit and practice writing letters and words over and over again. It is so much fun! Such a relaxing and fun way to spend a weekend. Can’t wait for more workshops! Thank you thank you thank you!

Maria is one of the most knowledgeable, patient and friendly teachers I know. She injects her passion for calligraphy into her students and I can't recommend this course more highly. I completed the whole course and loved every session. I was also surprised at how good I got in such a short time!

Fabulous experience. Highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teacher, in a great space I Fitzroy, with delicious food. Worked hard to complete a whole alphabet, but learned heaps and loved it! Going back for further sessions to learn other scripts in August.
