Cafe Transylvania

I cannot fault this place. We decided on a last minute lunch here. From the moment we stepped inside we were warmly greeted by the most friendly, charismatic and hilarious woman and she was very attentive to us. We weren’t able to guess the special drink she gave us to try, so we will be going home to do our push ups as promised

Even thought I only had a toasted sandwich, it was perfect. The desserts are to die for also, the most difficult part is deciding which one to have! The experience overall was 10/10 - easily the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Thank you so much to the wonderful lady who made our day on Friday September 29th

Went in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and was greeted with the most warm-hearted husband and wife. Food was amazing! Absolutely hands down has to be one of my new favourite spots and will definitely be going on a regular. Everything is home made, and you can taste the love and dedication put into not only the food but the cakes as well! Make sure you go with an empty stomach because I can guarantee you will leaving with a food coma.

The boss was super enthusiastic and invited us to try a small glass of Hungarian wine (it’s strong) but it’s quite delicious
Dessert is also a must, I recommend Profiteol

The experience was just choice This place was a random pick, and I'm so glad I chose correctly.

First off, the atmosphere was just cosy. The staff were a bit rushed, but that's because they give attention to each customer. The service was impeccable with a friendly attitude and great genuine enjoyment in proving a service.

Next, the long black was unexpectedly served in a milkshake glass. However, it did not detract from a very pleasant coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My usual quality test of eggs benedict didn't happen due to my time after breakfast serving time (11: 30). I was able to have the Big Transylvanian Breakfast. This came with some beautiful homemade beans and sausage. They definitely had the right amount of spices to please the palate. The eggs were cooked poached as I like it. The grilled mushrooms were perfectly cooked and delicious (I don't normally eat mushrooms). Finally, the bacon was well fried.

The cakes are a great sweet-chaser. They would easily satisfy any sweet-tooth

Honestly, it is hard to find any feedback to balance the praise. The only thing I would have liked would have been butter on my toast. It really isn't worth mentioning this, but because I like to ensure a balanced review, I have to put something.

Overall, this place earned its star rating. Definitely a recommendation to go try for yourself! Now I must go do some push ups (if you go, you'll know why) and then return tomorrow to try their eggs benedict and complete my review experience.

Outstanding authentic food, always fresh impeccably prepared with fantastic service. Then you get to the 2.5m cakes window fridge with more than 30 DELICIOUS cakes! I tried most of them during multiple past visits and its impossible to choose a favourite! Have a multitude to try!

If you have not had a meal here, get in the car now & go. One of the most wonderful places with fantastic food & hosts who love speaking with people. This restaurant wraps it's arms around you, especially in the winter months. We've travelled from Brisbane to visit & enjoy the company and food.

Amazing food, wonderful service. Would highly recommend for a good feed.

A delicious selection of well-made foods and decent coffee. Stopped by for a quick snack before shopping and only had to wait a short time even with all the tables filled. Would like to try dining here with a reservation someday.

If you are craving for Romanian/Hungarian food, head on over to Cafe Transylvania. This cafe is family owned and serves home cooked meals. We ordered the Polenta with Pork Stew, Mixed Grill à la Cafe Transylvania, Traditional Mushroom Sauce with Chicken Breast and Cabbage Rolls. EVERYTHING was good. Owner Kate took very good care of us and she exudes love and pride in what she does and this clearly translates over to the food that they serve. If I was Melbourne based, I am sure I will keep this lovely resto in my regular rotation. Bravo!?

We came across this cafe on the way back from a trip to Fountain Gate by happenstance and so lucky to have found it. It mightn't look like much from the outside but we were invited in and provided the best customer service and food. I assume it's run by a husband and wife team who were so lovely and from what I could see, have alot of regular customers which says alot. My young kids were offered a choice of activities while we waited for our meals and also provided complimentary cake as it was our first visit. The meals were superb, I had the cabbage rolls, hubs had the mix grill and kids had cevapi and nuggets which we all very delicious. Had to take home some cakes from the display as they looked to good. Hopefully the first of many visits! It seems I've found a local gem!

The ABSOLUTE best cafè I have been to in a very long time! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for accurate romanian food and drinks with the most uplifting staff!

Amazing! Been wanting to visit for ages and it was well worth the experience. Friendly, attentive hosts, great conversation and atmosphere, and then the food! Home cooking at it's finest, and the high standards and attention to detail shows in every bite. Got take away the very next day, & you can be certain we're coming back repeatedly.

While I was a bit nervous as I have a basic palate and get a bit nervous around unfamiliar food, I can't really fault this place.

The pork belly, however, was DELICIOUS. The owners are well involved in the day to day running of the cafe and will take good care of you during your visit. The "sacrifices" they offer you - a sample of a liqueur you have to guess the ingredients of and a "husband and wife" cake - make the experience fun as well.

Stopped in for lunch and was welcomed with amazing hospitality. Great food and great people. Thank you, we will be back

Great customer service! Delicious food and awesome desserts. Their diary ingredients are top notch.

We been there many times as we love the food. The service is amazing! We went with small children one time and we had to wait for other members of the group to arrive, the owner brought bits and strings for the girls to keep them occupied, allowing them to make necklaces and bracelets.
We went with teenagers for their birthdays and again they surprised us with the service.
Great food and out of this world deserts!
