I recently visited Cafe Taj with my wife. I had a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this place. I was surprised that they make fresh sugarcane juice as well. We had one and it was so amazing. They offer the best of food that is absolutely clean. We got a chance to see pictures from different places in Nepal, especially Darchula. As the owner was Nepalese, we had a great time with him.
We had freshly cooked naan bread and Puri which was fabulous and tasty. I remember eating back in Nepal. I appreciate their warm hospitality and is undoubtedly quite delicious.

Great Place for Nepalese and Indian food. We will be back again soon for sure.

Amazing and authentic food. And the best customer service. We requested some changes and he was happy to accomodate for that for no extra charge. And let us try extra as well.

Get lunch here at least three or four times a month. Classic hole-in-the-wall with great food.

Best pranthas we have ever had. Owner and operator (Mohan) is such a hard working person and made us fresh pranthas that were really good.
Read some of the negative reviews and to be fair its a Cafe and menu is not extensive but food tasted really nice and fresh. No food colouring was used as most Indian restaurants do these days.
We visited this Cafe for the first time as we were just travelling by and to be honest didn't expect the great quality food that we were served. Small business who takes pride in their work. Will highly recommend to anyone whose after yummy pranthas and snacks

Great food - we loved all the food we had today. The Owner/Chef - Mohan's cooking was excellent, each dish made meticulously and with great taste and flavour. Their customer service was excellent and don't miss their Masala Tea. We live 2 hours away, but will most certainly take time to come again and again.

Beautiful food. Delicious and hot. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. My husband raved that it was his best Indian meal in ages! Thanks to the Cafe Taj Express. We will definitely order again when we are visiting Geelong.

We drove down to Geelong for a weekend and decide to swing past this restaurant and the chef and the staff greeted us well and really looked after us. The food was outstanding. We had pizza paratha, gobi paratha and aloo paratha. All of them were brilliant. Will surely visit again

Went for a dine in. The service was poor had to wait for more than 40 mins. People who were behind the queue got their order done but we didnt and we have to leave without our food being delivered. Worst customer service ever

The most amazing chole bhature I have eaten in Australia, and I’ve tried them all around Melbourne and geelong!
This is a hidden gem, all the items are super delicious and on top of that the owner is extremely nice.
Can’t recommend this enough!

1st time bought chicken biryani from this place and its worst ever I had biryani they mix rice n chicken curry and name it chicken biryani ‍️

We found Cafe Taj only 3 weeks ago and have been every week since!
The food is sensational and we mix between the various Thali and Biryani and enjoy the great flavours of veg and non veg options.
The chef/owner Mohan is such a friendly guy and so keen to make sure you have an excellent meal.
My wife is gluten free and Chef made up a terrific alternative to his sensational roti bread and she was in heaven!

Great service, amazing staff, always smiling and happy to cook for you. We loved the food, it tastes like home cooked ️ The Roti was amazing, as well as the lentil dahl! Just yum!

Highly recommend this little cafe, great friendly service from Mohan. The joy of serving people is evident in what he does. The food was just devine.

Not even done eating and I just had to review this restaurant! The food is amazing… totally authentic and delicious… but even more, his joy of cooking really comes thru the food. This guys vibe is amazing, can’t wait to come back!

Great food and Excellent service. Would highly recommend. Try the thali as well as the different varieties of bread. The chai is also great.

Went there with family and it was a really great experience. Definitely gonna recommend the place if someone crave for the authentic taste from back home. After 3 yrs leaving the country for the first time felt like eating the food with families with the taste of food which used to feel back home.
