Cafe Savvy reviews
22 Great Place!
We were forced to stay a few days in Geelong due to mechanical issues with our campervan.
Luckily we found this place and spend two full days here. Great Coffee & food, friendly stuff and nice ambiente to get some work done.
Also super fair prices
Disappointing- paid premium to receive processed ham and store bought muffins for my eggs Benedict. Coffee came after breakfast - very slow…. Would not recommend.
A simple lunch served quickly during the work week. Food comes out quickly, enabling robust discussion before returning to work!
Super friendly and helpful staff
Asking if I want my croissant heated and even offered if I need a knife.
The place is so spacious and I also noticed 2 closed meeting rooms!
What a great place in the middle of the city
I find it weird that a venue in such a decent location with such a wonderful interior should be rarely at half capacity if that. Well, if today's visit was any measure, I can see why. 15 minutes for a flat white with two sugars, which was far from hot. Is the barista hand-temping the milk and notusing the thermometer? Prolly. 15 minutes. Some at my table waited 25 minutes for theirs. 25 minutes. Not a typo. All staff looked harried, flustered. $5 for 300ml of milk, coffee and sugar. There is no confidence in the staff. Management?
Yum! Great place to have a meeting at or just general brunch! Spacious and fantastic friendly service:) other meeting member was stoked at how fair prices are! Have recommended this place to others too:) love that there's a fair amount of vegan options too! Can't wait to see more! Will be back again!
(And have been back haha they've got a coffee stamp card!)
Charging power points at the back next to the sofa:)
Coffee was awesome. I like weak oat milk coffee and they dealt with my fussy request perfectly, without any hassle. Will be a regular now.
No sourdough despite being on the menu, replacement was a tiny piece of white bread. Poached eggs were a mess and the whites weren't cooked
Good for big groups and work/study meetings, but really lacks a soul.
Got a mocha and it was way too sweet so not a great place to spend some time and unwind.
Incredible food made with love and knowledge of flavours! Very friendly staff who asked how everything was, these ppl care.
We will be back, the beef sandwich and pouched eggs on sourdough were awesome.also a great spot for ppl watching while we eat.
Great coffee menu too!
Hands down the best coffee I've had in ages. Great for a tasty light breakfast. The staff are very friendly and engaging with polite service.
Really decent coffee and friendly, helpful staff. Would be really keen to see a bigger brekky menu.
Attended the cafe for the first time this morning, thought the staff were very good under pressure for a very early start as we were a decent size group attending en masse.
Coffee was delicious will definitely try the food next visit.
Would highly recommend coming here for a bite to eat or just a coffee.
Especially if your a coffee lover, the house coffee is absolutely delicious which is only complemented by the barista as they know how to work with the coffee bean, giving it the respect it needs so you can taste it’s true flavour.
A very well set up stylish hip establishment that just oozes the finer things in life but you still feel like you haven’t lift the comfort of your home.
Staff are amazing, very polite, friendly and go that extra step to be as helpful as they can to make sure you receive exactly what your looking for.
I’ll be coming back here for sure!
I was a bit apprehensive because the place looks really fancy, I was concerned about the prices but the price was really good, the staff are really nice, I had the breakfast bun, the relish is really nice, the coffee is great, the only thing I didn't like is that they don't have eggs Benedict on the menu, but that's a personal preference thing
It's amazing how quickly this café has fallen below par. It's become a hang out for the local street folk. Nice of them to be socially aware. I guess? However the scent and scenery is rough! - Also, the coffee seems worse now - Have they changed baristas or beans? Really sad, luckily St. James street is only a 30 second walk and full of amazing cafes and eateries.
Coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is the most unique I've been in. (The massive tables and workspaces are a huge plus for working too)! Also the best Cold Brew I've ever had! Couldn't recommend enough!
Great place friendly staff an excellent location and great coffee and fantastic food love the place as to what have done from Thomas jewellers to a nice open bright cafe well done to all work that has been done by the owners and staff. You deserve more than 5 stars
I was hesitant at first but I’m glad I checked this place out. The only place in geelong you can get a spaghetti jaffle for lunch. YUM!
Loved this cafe space. Great for a quality caffeine hit and large table to work/read at. Lovely light from big windows. Prompt and friendly service.
