Cafe Rubix reviews
46Absolutely phenomenal coffee, food specials always go down a treat and the staff are just always down for a chat.
I like my coffee & really like the way they make it. Friendly service, great coffee, wonderful freshly made muffins & good range of options for breakfast or lunch.
Amazing friendly staff who always provide a delicious hot coffee. Added bonus: they have vegan chocolate powder AND always remember my coffee. Keep on rocking legends
Absolutely rubbish coffee. Maybe I got them on a bad day but it wasn't busy. I was the only one in there and they gave me the most burnt tasting coffee I've ever had.
Can't say anything negative. Food was tasty, looked great and the wait wasn't long. Excellent coffee too and service was warm and efficient. Well done.
Great food and coffee, food portions are a bit smaller than other cafes but the quality is good.
Opens very early.a great spot for my first coffee hit off the day. Very good coffee. Friendly staff.
Offered a copy of The Age and Herald-Sun to read with my toasted sandwich.
Nice local cafe, good coffee. Only feedback is that the food may need more flavour e.g. Salt or some sauce. Had the wagyu beef and the corn fritters.
Best coffee, best pancakes and most friendly and lovely staff in the eastern suburbs. Incredibly reasonable prices for the quality of food and coffee. Always worth a visit!
The standards of hygiene here are poor. When I walked in I noticed a staff member wiping up a spillage behind the counter with a dry paper towel. All the empty tables hadn’t been wiped down. The floor hadn’t been mopped properly. When my order was served, they went to put everything down on a filthy table, except I stopped them and pointed out that the table was dirty -the waitress then proceeded to wipe the dirty table with yet another bit of dry paper towel. They seem to have no idea how to clean and I watched them tidy up all the other tables for the next customers without cleaning the food off any of them.
It’s hard to enjoy coffee when you feel like everything you touch is germy.but even though it looked the part it tasted as if the machine had not been maintained. The food was not particularly enjoyable either.
Food looks great but a little bland on seasoning for the pumpkin corn fritters. Eggs well cooked. Hot drinks a bit watery. However the cafe is very busy for this shopping strip and clearly does well.
Great little place. The service is great, warm and welcome. Outdoor table service. Staff all wear masks.
Busy on a Sunday morning. They were really accommodating with mobile payments if you sir outside
Cafe Rubix is a decent cafe. It has good local parking, a kids menu and a decent amount of seating. My partner and I thought the food was ok but not great and our drinks (coffee and a hot chocolate) were at best average. The service was fast and the food came out extremely quickly. I would rate Rubix as an average cafe that really needs to up it's game of it wants to compete in Melbourne.
Nice and easy breakfast on a Sunday morning. This Cafe opens early so doesn't eat up your day. The smashed avo and the corn fritters were great. Service was attentive, polite and friendly and there was no rush to get us out of there so we could hangout and chat for a while. Coffee was very nice as well. Will be back when I'm next in Melbourne.
The staff here are so lovely, they make amazing iced coffees! Is always very busy every time I go, which is well deserved.
Very organised to suit covid times impressed with attention to detail in this regard, well done guys!
Was recommended the Calamari Chorizo Boa and was not disappointed. The Calamari, cooked to perfection, complimented the Chorizo perfectly. Nice job guys
I just got out of hospital and was aching for a coffee so I went here & was received in a most friendly manner & bought a delightful coffee & they threw in a lovely muffin on the house to help me celebrate my new found freedom. Truly lovely place & people to match, Big recommendations, try it to believe it!
Best coffee in Melbourne! Very friendly staff. Cosy feel. Delicious Asian inspired menu. Always a great experience.:)
