Cafe Paradiso reviews
42Came here after the cinema, sat in the beer garden on a sunny evening, good service and great food:)
Went to paradiso last night, new menu was amazing, great service, amazing cocktails, and good vibes!
We shared 3 entrees: green beans (a large plateful!), pork and veal meatballs and the fried calamari. All were very tasty and well done. Service was good.
The Cafe is large and customers were spread out, so we all had plenty of room.
Always a favourite. Great food, great team, great wine and atmosphere. Fabulous for groups (our kinder mum’s love it) and the beer garden out the back is spectacular on a sunny day.
Cafe Paradiso had everything I wanted. The staff were lovely and the service was outstanding. They had a great variety of beautiful cocktails to choose from and the food was very delicious.
All staff were very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were nice. Prices were okay. Restaurant inside was also very nice.
Had a lovely lunch here with family on January 1. Great food, fast and polite service. Can’t go wrong with pizza and gnocchi tasted homemade.
Super friendly staff with great food and one of the best carbonara's I've ever had. I also tried my sons bolognaise and it was delicious. Love this place, very highly recommended.
Great Neapolitan pizza dough, fluffy and chewy, but spoilt by below average toppings.
The tomato base was very acidic and the Italian sausage felt like ordinary supermarket cold cuts. You can’t substitute quality ingredients and charge a premium price ($25-$30). There are much better Neapolitan pizzerias around.
The food was good. The service was also very good by the staff. The owner is a bit grump but otherwise a very good experience. Thank you
Delicious Italian dinner on a cold Melbourne evening at Paradiso, opposite the famous Rivoli Cinemas complex in Camberwell / Hawthorn East.
Fettuccine Spezzatino (slow-braised lamb shank ragù fettuccine), white-based prawn pancetta pizza, and rocket parmesan salad.
Crème Brûlée and tiramisu for desserts.
Fast service. Friendly and helpful staff
The food was really delicious, but what was so outstanding was the service. I came in with my Dad who is diabetic and unfortunately needed to eat something quite quickly on arrival. The waitress was lovely and brought out dips and bread not even 3 minutes later, without making it feel like a nuisance. Steak was cooked to perfection. Thanks to the team for taking care of us!
It’s one of our absolute favourite date night restaurants! Great atmosphere, the food is always delicious (the halloumi salad is my go-to!) and the staff are so welcoming. The outdoor area is also lovely in the Summer.
Food is bland, no taste at all. Coleslaw was horrible, felt like it came out of Coles pre-made salad bag. Overpriced for what you get. Very disappointing experience.
I wasn’t a fan of this place. I ordered a Chicken Parma without ham, it came out with ham so I sent it back and all they did was scrape off the toppings and put new sauce/cheese on it and put it back under the grill to melt it, which meant it came out overcooked. I would’ve been better off just keeping the original one and scraping off the toppings myself as at least then I’d have a chicken schnitzel that wasn’t burnt.
However, it did look like it was cooked well when it came out the first time, so I’m sure I would’ve enjoyed my meal if it was cooked right the first time. I’m just disappointed in how they handled the situation after they made the mistake.
We had an amazing experience at Cafe Paradiso. Due to health complications in our family, we were feeling anxious about eating in a public space for the first time in a while, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel understood and safe, seating us in their lovely courtyard with lots of social distance from other patrons. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening, it meant a lot to us
The service was amazing and the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. It started raining and they moved us all undercover. Very accommodating. Will definitely go back again. Xx
Fast, friendly and efficient service. The meals are delicious and there's ample space between diners. There's outdoor seating and a beer garden out the back. All staff are fully vaccinated too.
Great venue in the court yard. Friendly staff, nice food & a variety of seating areas to choose depending on your needs. Worth a visit.
Rushed.
We called up to reserve a table and were told that we could sit until 7: 45 as there were other reservations, fair enough as it was a last minute thing.
Everything came out very very quickly within 10 minutes- no complaints there- food was good but really nothing special, pizza soggy in the middle to the point where you can’t pickup the slice.
7: 20 I order dessert and they suggest I have it takeaway and constantly trying to clear the table.
I wanted to have it there as at the time we had been there a total of 35-40 minutes for a $135 meal.
At 6: 35 I am trying to control my toddler and the waitress keeps asking me what she can clear from the table.
Food nothing special especially with the amount of options in the area.
Did not feel welcome
