We visited Buttermans Track winery today and were extremely impressed by Gary’s insight across the vines, process and the property, throughout the wine tasting. The wines themselves were each unique and by unique I mean complex in taste and that’s a tribute to the winemaking at Buttermans Track by Gary & Sons. We’ll be back and look forward to the drops we’ve walked away with today!
This winery might be a little out of the way or hard to find for some people but it's worth finding if you're heading out to the Yarra Valley and want to explore the smaller producers. The couple that run the winery were lovely, very down to earth and easy to chat with. The wines were all fantastic with the Pinot Noir and Sangiovese particular standouts. If the signs are out, they're open.
