Busbys Restaurant & Bar / Deux Soeurs reviews
31We have just experienced a perfect dining experience at Busbys. Top service overseen by the ever enthusiastic Wilson. All courses were presented beautifully and were delicious. The Terrine de Champagne and the Ragout de fruits de mar were the outstanding dishes and the chocolate souffle a knock out way to finish off the evening.
Mate and I drove from the city after work for a 4-course meal. It was absolutely delightful. The head chef came out to check on us to ensure all is well at the end. What a treat. The dishes were charged with the full richness of the French culinary art. Come and try for yourself before this sensation hits the city. Hint: in case you had a bit to drink at dinner, grab a room for yourself straight after in the hotel at the back of the restaurant with awesome amenities. Totally hassle free! Look forward to the next visit!
Busby’s Restaurant is a little gem we will definitely return to. The service from the waiter was very professional. He really went out if his way to provide excellent service. The food was nothing short of delectable. The four of us all ordered different dishes which we shared and were pleasantly surprised. A great night thanks to the chef and waiter.
Had an amazing experience here for dinner! We tried all the chef recommendations, everything was lovely and very flavorful! The chef and staff were all very friendly. Definitely would come back for another visit. Thank you!
Absolutely amazing food. The chef at this place is really special. I don't think I've had better French food even in France. Highly recommended. Try the scallop starter, it's delicious.
Good food, really good value and excellent service. Thanks to all the staff and will definitely be back.
Fabulous.
The food was excellent and very well presented. I had the fillet steak (which was the best steak I have had for years) and the ladies raved about the veal.
The service was great and happened unobtrusively and the Maitre D made sure the evening was memorable.
Prices are reasonable for the high level of food and service given. Better than many 5 star city restaurants.
Again I say "Fabulous" and well worth a visit
My partner and I had an amazing time tonight. Steak was perfectly cooked and the seafood was fresh and flavorful. We highly recommend it & will go back again.
Not just bad, but baffling. Enough elements of the food were good that it was clear a decent chef had been involved at some point (beautifully cured kingfish, lovely parsnip puree with the overdone steak) which made it all the more confusing and disappointing when other things were done so, do badly. The delightful vodka cured kingfish I've mentioned is served with ordinary sweet chilli sauce. The 'caper beurre blanc' was melted butter and 4 capers on top of the fish of the day. The 'french and Italian cheeses' that the uncomfortably handsy and pushy head front of house guy advised were in the ravioli turned out upon further questioning to be Philadelphia cream cheese, mozzarella, 'some kind of cheddar', and the terribly vague 'goat cheese' - the result a grainy and incredible stodge ball swimming in more melted cheese ('tasty' would be my best guess). The desserts had no flavour and the creme brulee was a curdled mess. The fact that they didn't charge is for drinks makes it clear they know how badly they messed up oro meals and/or how over priced they are. Sorry for such a negative review, but I'm honestly shocked at the high rating this place has, and I hope that nobody else gets swayed by the reviews like we did and overlooks the fact that this is in a 'best western' budget motel. You get what you think you'll get if you ignore the reviews and acknowledge the reality of 'attempted French restaurant in the breakfast hall of a cheap highway motor-inn from the 1960s'. Good luck.
Have been meaning to check this place out.finally had an occasion that suited it.casual no horty torty or is it hoity toity.even the spelling is all #%^£ haha
Anyhooooo.very pleasantly surprised.and reasonably priced.the best would have been the snails rice. I mean the escargot risotto; also tried the 4 cheese ravioli and Bouillabaisse. Overall the dishes were quite good and the experience? Welll come in here and set ur expectations down to a local Parisian burb with a family owned feel.ranned place.with hearty meals.this is what busby reminds me of.not perfect but has character. It wont make it into the cbd but will definitely give the local villagers a damn good feed.
Oh what an amazing place!
Took my partner for valentines dinner and loved every bit of it. For starters there was a live band for Valentine’s Day and it really added to the experience. We went for 3 course meal and options were plenty. Food arrived on time and everything was cooked to perfection! Thanks to the chef. The chocolate tort is highly recommended! Our host for the evening Wilson was very much hospitable and friendly! He made sure we felt special and which we very much did.
In all, a beautiful place and will definitely go back again:)
