Burwood Heights Medical Centre

I had always stayed clear due to reading negative reviews but decided to give Burwood heights a chance on a friends recommendation. Walking in, I was greeted by the most welcoming receptionist which immediately made me feel at ease. The nurse (Caroline I believe), was right on time to the second and provided an extremely friendly service which made the experience so much better. I didn’t have any experience with the doctors but I can only imagine if the two staff members I did interact with were so friendly and amazing, then the rest of the staff would be as well.

Both of these doctors are incredibly rude and unprofessional.they don’t help.they simply write you prescriptions and tell you to leave.one has prescribed me an antidepressant in a dose that made me physically ill and barely apologised and the other barely listens to you.they are an absolute nightmare.avoid this clinic.you can do so much better.

The girls on reception are fantastic. They know me so well and are always happy to help! Doctors are really knowledgeable and make me feel comfortable.

Everyone in the medical center is so friendly and compassionate and makes you feel comfortable. It is very hard to get this personal service nowadays.

So incredibly slow.expect to wait 30mins plus. You will not be seen within 30mins so always factor an additional hour into your schedule. Regular patients arrive after you and get seen before you. Pretty poor experience.

Completely incompetent doctor barely qualified to prescribe Panadol let alone actually giving appropriate care. Had NO idea of basic options for the extremely common condition that was presented to him. Failed to write referrals for blood tests.etc (despite being specifically asked) simply handballed us to a specialist. When we contacted the specialist we were told to go back to the GP for the referrals! AVOID THIS CLINIC unless you need antibiotics or a work certificate. That's all they're capable of handling.

Been going here for years not sure why, but the service and quality has deteriorated to absolutely appalling unless you are Sri Lankan so it seems. They are rude, always late doesn't matter even if you are the first appointment you will wait, and it always seems that we get a 5 minute consultation so that they can make up time because they are either late to work or taken extra long with their "friends" or even been eating breakfast they will make you wait. They also always make you come back for things etc, for a health care plan even if you book a double appointment the day before.they make you come back the next day (another appointment) because he was to busy to do it during your appointment go figure. Do yourself a favour and find another clinic as l have that treats you better.ps. Not even worth one star.

Been going for 15 years+. Great doctors who care, plan and listen. No trouble getting Dr of your choice and same Drs have been there ever since I've been going (unlike many clinics).

I’ve been going to Burwood Medical Centre for over 6 years now. Dr. Srilal is just amazing. Highly recommend!

Commenced using the GP Practice 18 months ago and found the service First Class. Dr Karu is an experienced senior GP and I have found him very knowledgeable in all medical matters. Dr Karu is very helpful and has an excellent knowledge of local medical specialist for referral where needed. He attends to my every day medical needs and I trust him 100%. Very easy to book an appointment on line and I can usually get a non urgent appointment within 1 business day. They bulk bill which is a pleasant change from my last medical practice where I had attended for over 7 years and only left because the trusted GP there moved to another practice too far away. FIVE STARS

My family and I are regular patients at this clinic, apart from the occasional lengthy wait time at busy times service has always been good

I always get satisfactory medical care by the doctors in this medical centre. They are very kind and helpful, would recommend for anyone looking for a general practitioner!

From receptionist to doctor i always got an excellent total care service. The doctors working there are really kind. I am living in Clayton. Whenever I visited Burwood Heights medical center i passed lot of other medical centers on my way because i know from my experience I will get the best individual attention & care service there at this little burwood Heights medical center. Dr Srilal is an exceptional doctor i ever come across in my life. Sometime we have to wait for the appointment. But still its very worthwhile as we get the best service always. When need arises, I highly recommended you to visit this place & get the best service.

Doctor had me waiting for 2 hours. I was apparently the next patient to be seen but he was doing something for 2 HOURS in his office. Safe to say I left and never went back.

Also a few weeks before this, an elderly woman was hit by a car on the road outside of the clinic and the doctors refused to see her. Absolutely pathetic service and people. I dont know how they sleep at night.

I really needed to use the toilet and asked politely if I may use their toilet because one of the Woolworths public toilets was out of order and there was a queue for the other.and the reception lady said no!

This is a place to review their medical services, which are fine.
They of course don't wish to give random blow - ins access to the toilet which is for their staff and their PATIENTS
Have more patience and stand in the queue at the supermarket like the rest of us
