Burnt Toast

Very milky weak coffee. Got a medium and it literally tasted like warm milk with a hint of coffee. I'm not sure if there was meant to be 1 or 2 shots. It was also insanely hot. Either way was a waste of $13 for 2 coffees. My plunger camping coffee this morning had more of a hit! Didn't have any food so can't comment there.

We were going on a drive. Due to the temperature of the coffee we didn't drink any straight away. We weren't going to head back to complain. I think the the take away note is (which I have seen a few other ppl comment) your coffee is very milky. Or your not getting your shots to milk ratio correct? Or your beans are stale.
I'm actually a barista and cafe owner. I'd definitely suggest consistency of reviewing how you make your coffee. Thank you.

All delicious and, a nice cozy spot, staff are great service was too. The pies are amazing! Love the it’s a local institution type feel. The dog photo wall is so fun and the art wall is too.

Had a great almond chai and delicious cheese, bacon and beef pie.

Burnt Toast was very dog friendly and was cozy without feeling cramped. The art on the walls was delightful to look at and I had to hang around inside to look at it all. They also appear to be LGBT+ friendly which made for a safe feeling environment. Food and drinks were delivered quickly and the staff were very friendly.

We went at 11am on Tuesday and had no trouble finding a park or a table.

For food, we had the Big Burnt Beaky and ham and cheese toasty. Unfortunately, they were out of the fruit toast, but the sourdough in the ham and cheese had the perfect amount of crunch without being too hard, and the cheese was delicious.

For drinks, we had a large caramel frappe with coffee and a large chocolate thickshake with coffee. The frappe was definitely the standout here, while the thickshake could have used a little more of the chocolate taste.

In all of my years of supporting local businesses have I never had the kitchen staff be so abusive. Easter Sunday was the perfect time to have a local breakfast from our favourite Cafe. I wiped down our table to assist the staff as the kitchen was busy with a Cafe supplies napkin. I politely asked a member in the kitchen if there was a bin at had only to had told that there was a bin to us across the road. WhenI told him that it was a napkin from the restaurant he uttered some abusive comment under his breath. When asked what was said he continued to utter something else under his breath that was not of the standard expected from such great staff. Needless to say that it was embarrassing for all involved and I will never be going back there for any cooked meals again in the future. It's such a shame that one badly mannered member can undo all the good work done by the great front of house staff. Very disappointing. We took our business to San Remo an had a brilliant experience at Beandz and will never be spending money at Burnt Toast in the future.

Best coffee on earth. I would give it six stars if I could. Staff are always kind and welcoming no matter how busy it is (and they remember my name, which is rare). Unpretentious, top quality café. Love this place so much!

I enjoyed my lunch here the other day. Service was friendly and the sausage roll and chicken schnitzel Turkish roll was delicious.

The red head guy is an absolute sass-hole. Have lived on the island and heard many of the locals say how unfriendly he can be.

Very poor effort, was closed more often then not.
Smoothie was not drinkable.
Went 4 times only open once.very random.

I ordered 3 $3 sides and an orange juice, according to the menu i should have been charged $13 but instead i was charged nearly 20.apparently i was paying for the chefs wage?

I love this place! It's cozy, so friendly and the food is beautiful. My two favs are the egg n bacon Turkish roll and the steak sandwich.

Has been my local coffee hang ever since they opened. Coffee quality has been so consistently good over the years even when they are busy.
Staff are always friendly and smiling. The food is nice and fresh and I love the fact they have kept some of the classic items from when the joint was known by another name, hint, try the macaroni pie.
The berry and white choc muffins are unreal, they seem to get the berries and choc all the way through the mix rather then just on top.
I always recommend to mates and family. Cheers guys.

Great place for brekkie or lunch, we had brekkie and it was a huge meal filled me up for the whole day. Our kid was being fussy and wanted just scrambled eggs and bacon on a croissant (nothing like this was on their menu) but the guy serving us who was excellent by the way said as they weren't that busy he'd sort young fussy out and served exactly what had been asked for! Also highly recommend the iced chocolates with ice cream and cream. Coffee is also excellent. So well deserved 5 out of 5.

Cute little café with friendly staff and awesome food. For a busy Sunday our food came out quickly and was delicious. Not my first time and won’t be my last.

Wanted a vegan option, was absolute trash, tofu scramble that tasted like card board…… do not rekoment!

OOh what a lucky find Burnt toast is sitting outside beside your bicycle on the communal table or your own all ages, cultures and so so local foodies will loove this hip cafe with disabled toilets across the near empty car park and not far from the main road or beaches either

Ace coffee. Can be a bit of wait, but only cause it's popular. Nothing vegan so can't comment on the food. My local go-to

Great little cafe with excellent coffee and a excellent menu. Their Ruben toastie was fantastic. Perfect spot for brekkie!

Amazing food. I had the chicken schnitzel roll and hubby had eggs Benny both were amazing.
What a way to finish our few days on the island before heading back to normality in the city.
