Management don't respond to calls about their staff side swiping someone. Teach them to drive before allowing them on the road.

Lazy customer service. Brought in a sample of exposed concrete from my property to get some advice if they had any similar. She didn't even look at the sample I brought in, just told me to look at the sample of the wall.

Great products, terrible customer service on my last two visits.

I've always had good experiences and received quality products over the last 10 years as a cash customer.

However, my last two experiences with the lady at the hardware desk have been very ordinary.

I suggest you move her away from customers as I don't think I'll be returning any time soon.

If management are interested, my last dealing with her was this morning (06/02/23) whilst picking up a load of aggregate.

Great products but TERRIBLE customer service. The lady that served me was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I am part Maori and quite dark, so perhaps she prefers not to deal with non-whites? That's what her reception felt like. Regretfully they stock products I require that I cannot get anywhere closer otherwise I would not deal with them at all.

It's confusing where to go, as a person who parked the car in what appears to be the carpark.
There's a sign, saying; NOTICE, DO NOT PROCEED PAST THIS POINT BEFORE CHECKING INTO TOOL SHOP (? Exact capitals and final words?) But the sign doesn't point to where you're meant to check in. Not Covid checkin, but safety checkin for being on site with heavy machinery. Reduce wandering, increase awareness, fair enough. So, after going to the wrong area in order not to pass the sign, i wandered around, past the sign, to the tool shop, which I didn't know that's what it was, to get to talk to the people about the products.
Some people were more helpful than others, but an arrow solves it.

Burdetts used to provide good service. They have changed some operational aspects and have become terrible to use. Strongly urge you to go elsewhere, plenty of other good mobs in the area.

Shade Wise here. Tony and the guys are always very helpful and accommodating. Always a great mix and good experienced drivers. Will use burdett's any chance we get, even if there is other companies closer. They just do what they say they are going to do and they do it well.can't ask for much more than that.

Unserved by the rudest customer service person ever, just now. If you're having a bad day sweetheart don't take it out on me. No recommendation from me.

Not to bad a place with a good selection of stuff, check there website. Only negative is to make sure u double check your amount that is loaded onto your trailer etc to make sure you get what you are paying for.

If you need a lot of potting mix it is a lot cheaper by the trailer load here than by the bag anywhere else. They can also deliver.

I do not recommend buying firewood from Bernadette‘s. I was told the firewood I was buying was dry and good to burn. Very disappointed with there customer service.
They refused to pick up the green firewood and told me I would only receive a refund if I return the firewood myself, the problem is I don’t have a truck to return the firewood. No discount offered.
I’m going back to Daisy‘s where the customer is always right.

Shame their website works like it was done by a 5 year old. If your not going to make it user interactive your wasting time

Huge trucks go wherever the hell they like, ignoring truck bans on quiet residential streets and barging through primary school crossings just to take a shortcut. If the drivers won't follow basic road rules I wouldn't trust the integrity of this company.

I'm impressed with this place. Very friendly people who know their stuff about local soil conditions and have great advice on how to fix it. The products are very cost effective in bulk. Loads of related garden supplies including fertilizer, sand, soil, rocks, firewood, compost, concrete, pavers. The store is wheelchair accessible. The layout is logical and easy to find what you want.

Absolutely appalling service. I have used this company for the past 18-months or so whilst renovating our home, spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars. I have looked past the fact that they are a miserable bunch as they are close to home and are open on Sundays. On Saturday I ordered and paid for two metres of brown turf sand for delivery on Sunday between 11-1pm. However, when nothing showed up I called them only to be told that they didn't actually have the product. What a waste of time! I will be going elsewhere from now on. My advice would be to give Daisy's Garden Supplies in Carrum Downs a call instead. Much friendlier and all-round better service.

I recently bought 1 ton of “mixed species” firewood only to be 90% semi green Ash. Have to keep it burning very hot or it goes out. Can hear moisture hissing out of the wood.
Had I been told it was ash I would have gone elsewhere but for it to not be dried, was a real show of integrity & how they value their customers.
Will not buy from them again!

I rang to inform them & they basically said that’s all they have & deal with it!
Selling poor quality product at market prices & offering nothing in customer care, not even a sorry.

I had to pay for it when I ordered over the phone, took 2 days to deliver only to have green wood delivered!

Poor quality products & smug staff giving poor service.
Do yourself a favour & deal with someone else.

Quality soil/sand/graded agg products, whole sale and trade, good delivery drivers so far. Fair price.

A couple of days ago I had a small issue with a delivery of a load of rocks. The staff at Burdetts were extremely helpfully and understanding and all was quickly resolved.
I have been a customer for manyyears and will continue to support this excellent business.

Very friendly staff. Booked delivery between 7 and 9. Gentlemen were here before 8. Was happy to unload mulch in 2 places and was very careful to protect my plants. Fantastic service. Thanks

I don't hate the place. Its convenient and so I still use them. Its just I was short changed on a trailer of scoria I recently bought and hence the one star. I asked for half a metre. I was loaded with a metre bucket. The loader filled his bucket and guessed he poured half of it out. I questioned I was loaded with half. The driver said sometimes u get more, sometimes less? Next time I visited I asked to be loaded with a half metre bucket. And this time I distinctly was loaded with more. Close to a couple of wheelbarrows worth. So was really short changed. In the future I will always ask to be loaded with the bucket size of the measurement I require. And if I find a place more convenient in the future I will take my business there. I am a chef by trade. How would it be If I had the same attitude with the size of steaks or amount of French fries served with a meal? I wouldn't be in buisnes long.
