Burden Park reviews
63 This park is one of the best for toddlers and young children in primary school. It's also good for teenagers in highschool who like basketball or keeping fit with obstacles. Dog walkers would like this park as it's quite big and has drinking water bowls for them:) Lastly it's good for adults and families looking to keep fit and possibly have a bbq for whatever occasion.
I have a 2yr old toddler who enjoyed this park immensely. He is quite active for his age and his attention span is short haha He loves to play in the sandpit and it's great if you're into digging sand as it has a mechanism they can use like trucks have to dig up dirt. If you're after a sandcastle, there's water nearby from the drinking taps. The climbing forts and bars are great for the young ones as long as there's an adult to assist.
We have yet to try the bbq however will definitely organise one in summer with the family. They appear clean and functional as far as I can see from other families using them.
If you're looking for a place to work out and keep fit, or just to hang with your mates and sit down for a picnic, there's an oval with plenty of nicely cut lawn to sit down and run on. I actually purchased a kite and plastic cricket bat and ball to leave in my car so my toddler has something extra to play with when we return to Burden Park or visit other parks in Melbourne. The photos I took are from a distance this time as I didn't want to get people's faces in them and I didn't intend to write a review. I'm just in awe that we have such a cool park here as I've only found one other one in Noble Park that's worthy of a review, IMHO.
After it has been renovated by local government, it is pretty good one for kids kill the time
It is a well built play ground and has plenty of space to play rugby and cricket. My son enjoyed it with my friends and family.
4 BBQs kept in great condition, great park for kids of all ages, sand pit, big oval, ninja course and basketball courts! A great day out
Absolutely love this park! It has shade, tables and toilets.
Basketball court, ninja playground for teenagers and massive castle playground for children with slides and a small maze. Highly recommend.
A fantastic playground for children of all ages.
It's been almost 25 years since we had been here. We used to bring our kids there back in the 1980's and on the weekend we took our grand kids. Who loved it just as much as our kids did.
If there us anything that would benefit the place it would be some sort of Trampoline area.
I would even put a Coffee Centre in and make the most out of great situation. Also a few chairs/seats that are actually under trees creating some shade spaces for adults and kids alike.
Great park for the kids to run around, including basketball court, outdoor gym & BBQ facilities. Plenty of parking available also.
Fantastic park, I used to play there myself when I was a child, since then the play area and the play equipment have been updated and I have had my own children and they loved playing there too, they are all grown up now and we love the fact that Burden Park also has gas BBQ area with 4 separate BBQs
An awesome park! The wooden playground is styled like some sort of castle or fort or something, and it’s massive and really intricate. There’s also a maze and field nearby, and an obstacle course which looks like it’s heavily inspired by the Ninja Warrior series that airs on TV. With all this, it’s no surprise that it’s super popular with kids. The parking is a little small, though.
Had a great memories at this place! Greatest and welcoming, place I know around the area's. Crew up and made, a lot of memories here. A place to do anything and everything!
It's great to be here for the challenge, it's suitable for all ages, even if you're a grandpa
The park recently added an obstacle course and a basketball course. A lot of activities to entertain the children.
A big park with a lot of features. Big wooden playground with sand pit (with built in excavator) a big adjacent ropes area with slides and swings. Nearby BBQs with sheltered tables. A full sized basketball court with soccer nets built into the bases of the rings. A more advanced playground with "Ninja Worrior" style equipment. Fun for all ages.
Fantastic table and bench seats under cover, plenty of room for the kiddies to play. There is a fort to play on, swings, a adventure play ground, a basket ball court, or maybe soccer or hocky is your thing plenty of grass land. And of cource a toilet, and change room, and disable toilet flat ground at toilet no steps. Very clean well maintained, also BBQ near the table and seats there is also a drinking fountain near play area.
Great place for out door fun activities, car parks, 3 toilets n kids play ground swings n more.
So much space for the kids to run around, massive playground to explore even the parents will have fun here! Barbecues are usually clean there's a flying fox works well and a huge field to kick a football or soccer ball it's awesome! The only problem with burden park is the prickles from the clovers I believe, if they where gone it would be faultless
Great and spacious park with a few bbq areas for snags. Public toilet near by and limited undercover seating. Regular kids destination point with ample parking.
Nice park.barbeque facility available.can get a bit crowded at times.other than that large play area, tennis court and kids playground.
My grandchildren love the park as there is so much for a 4 and 5 year olds to do. We have had bday party and afternoon tea there. My only gripe is that the toilets are faraway and not always open which is a big problem. Plenty of parking available.
Great park for all the family. Fantastic playground and large fort to climb and run around on.with gym / ninja type equipment to keep everyone entertained. As well as large open areas to run around in.
