Very rude staff member.
I was very surprised to encounter an extremely rude Bunnings staff member at Bunnings Vermont South store today. I was enquiring about the availability of muslin cloth for using with the French wash painting technique which I had previously used with Porter’s Paints. As Bunnings now stocks Porters Paints, I thought that they may also stock materials that are used in the techniques that they promote.
I was scoffed at by the person behind the counter and was told that I was in a hardware store which was not the kind of place that stocks muslin. I proceeded to try and explain that I was using one of the techniques that Porters paints describes in one of their videos. She continued to talk down to me and said that was ‘completely different’ from normal painting, which it isn’t. She clearly had no idea about the technique and was not interested. Considering that she was working in the paint department, I thought she could at least be polite enough to listen to my question, as it was relevant to the department she works in.
This is not the kind of behaviour that I expect from Bunnings staff as most that I have encountered have been very polite and have tried to help. Fortunately, this staff member was an exception, but not someone I want to encounter again.
It is not acceptable to scoff at customers and talk down to them!

Don't be daft like me and try to buy something here during lockdown. It's true that the security guy could've had a *little* more tact breaking this to me, but then I totally get it too.

I WAS being dumb thinking I could just rock up and buy a smoke alarm, so *someone* had to tell me. Fingers crossed we don't have a fire I guess! (/jk)

Eddie in the paint department was just amazing! He helped me so much in analysing the paint colours as well as showing me all the brands available, so that I could make an informed choice. He was such a gentleman, so kind and patient with answering all of my questions and so professional and knowledgeable. I chose a paint colour for my living room and i'm so happy with the result. I am so thankful to Eddie and very appreciative for all his help. I always shop at Bunnings in Vermont South and I find the team there have such a wonderful work ethic!

Excellent store with a huge range.

Staff are well trained and helpful.

Sausage sizzle on weekends is a must do to support local clubs, charities, schools etc

Huge store, huge range, usually easy parking, opposite an enormous Office Works too which is handy. Staff are always friendly.

Bunnings Special Order Trap - 06/07/2021 @ Vermont South Branch
I am doing a kitchen renovation and kitchen design done by Bunnings, as well as Bunnings representative in special orders section helped me to purchase appliances as per design documents.
Renovation is handled by one of the certified company listed in Bunnings renovation company list and they found out that the front panel of Rangehood is too big, and they wanted me to exchange it to a one with shorter front panel.
I went and returned the item, which I first purchased through Bunnings, but unfortunately Bunnings returned only 77% of the purchase price? (Item never used / opened)

Good range, neat store, plenty of parking. Staff a bit difficult to find, rare acknowledgement from staff. Can get a bit smelly because it's located next to the tip.

Very good customer service, I love this bunnings,

But today I was not satisfied
I am very concerned about one of the staff who behaved very rude to me, and did not give powerpass discount, I did nto ever ask her for the reason, wanted to get out off her face, surely this thing happened on 13/06/2021. For surely from today I will never ever talk to her neither get served by her.

Very helpful. You need your Trade Card or White card (construction induction card) to enter the building during Covid 19.

They are kind and they do not disabilty discriminate. They are helpful and they try to help and understand what you need. They are one if the best of all the bunnungs and Epping and bayswater are up there. Ferntree Gully Bunnings is a no no.

We shopped at Bunnings Vermont South on 10 Feb 2021. We want to thank the staff Travis and Bailey at Bunnings Vermont South. They are really helpful and friendly. Travis is patient, informative and knowledgeable. He made customers feel really comfortable in shopping at Bunnings. Really appreciate his help. Bailey also helped us measure the tapware component. With their help, we were able to find the appropriate bath and basin tapwares. Thanks.

This centre has a pretty bad drive and Collect. Reached there dial the number, no one pick up, called again, someone pick up and said they are sending someone soon. Waited 20 mins, called again same person answered and disconnected the phone. Then I walked into the store to make a complaint that’s when a person took my order number and said they will be out with my pick up. Went to the parking, another staff member was there helping with the order of the person who came much much later than us. I told her what I went through just then and she said not her problem. Safe to say not going to buy any stuff from this Bunnings.

Staff service is fine. Just always short of stock and very slow to refill. Not conveiency really.had to go Nunawading or Fentreegully.

OZITO SUPER GARDEN SHREDDER
Very disappointing product, very disappointing customer service.

Only two tiny screws, one each side, secure this heavy device (106 kg) of fast rotating shredding blades, onto its frame stand.

The frame did not fit the screws.
This means the stability, safety and use of the whole device is compromised.

Very poor customer service:
I returned the device to Bunnings, Vermont South. The person on the returns desk said he would get another one, and disappeared for a long time. When I saw him again, he merely stared at me blankly, no replacement in sight.

Another staff person, not part of the previous discussion explaining the problem, offered to ‘replace the screws’.
How would replacing the screws with the same, fix the design problem of the frame? (No answer) A fob-off? A go-away answer?

I said I still needed the shredder, and needed it to be useable.
There followed unseemly argy-bargy wherein I was ‘encouraged' to get another brand, despite already previously having outlaid much money in adding other OZITO items to my OZITO brand battery kit (which could be seen on on my receipt).

Now I am supposed to start spending again on another battery brand set, which rather defeats the purpose. (Not happy)

He protested that Bunnings could not possibly ‘assemble the device’ if I got another OZITO shredder.
I said no-one asked him to: I said I just needed a demonstration that the frame-screws actually fitted and properly assemble.

He did, eventually, go and get a replacement. I asked for a box that had not been opened, lest it had been returned to the store for the same problem. It had been opened.

Despite applying unreasonable force, he could not get one screw properly in, the other not at all.

Very disappointing product, very disappointing customer service.
