Bunnings Port Melbourne reviews
73I would like to express my utmost appreciation for David from the Tools department at Bunnings Port Melbourne store. His assistance was invaluable – not only was he highly professional, but his positive attitude towards customers truly stood out. David’s exceptional help made my experience at the store enjoyable, and his expertise in the Tools department was evident. Thank you, David, for your outstanding service and commitment to customer satisfaction.
I recently faced multiple challenges while trying to organize a return for an online order:
Inconsistent Information: My journey began with the Collingwood store, where one staff member confirmed a pick-up service, while another redirected me to the Port Melbourne branch due to the order's origin.
Unfulfilled Promises: My interactions with the Port Melbourne store were marked by confusion. While several staff members acknowledged the pick-up service, none followed through on their promises to call back and finalize arrangements.
Lack of Accountability: Over the span of a week, I spoke to six different staff members (10+ including the staff who redirected e), each time having to re-explain my situation. The process was characterized by inconsistent information, forgotten previous conversations, and an overall dismissive attitude. One instance involved a staff member denying the service altogether and directing me elsewhere, even when previous staff had confirmed it.
In total, I've invested a week and several hours on the phone, only to be met with frustration and inconsistency. I hope Bunnings takes this feedback seriously to improve future customer experiences.
Despite of all my effort, I still have no way to return the over-sized items till now.
Got my plumbing supplies. Team member approached to offer help. Nice service!
Big store.
Dont trust the app for stocks or location. It sent me to aisle 101 when it was in aisle 7. Lol
Pets welcome.
EDIT: Score! Sausage Sizzle today!
EDIT: The app sent me to the wrong aisle again. It cannot tell the difference between the 'home' location, and a temp 'pop-up' aisle display.
Massive Bunnings with a very large outdoor area for plants and trees. Loads of planters and pots available with more expensive clay pots or cheaper plastic ones also available. Loads of flowers for outdoors and lighting too. Super helpful staff who have knowledge on some of the plants and trees too. All reasonably priced compared to other shops. Everything you need for your garden worth a visit. Also sells seasonal decorations. It also has a cafe for snacks and coffee as well as bathrooms.
Produkt stored out of reach, needed a ladder to get to it. Found a staff member after 10 minutes, asked if he could help me get it down so I could have a look. I was told that if I wasn't sure I wanted it, he would not take it down. If I wasn't happy about it I could go to information and find someone else to help. Information tell me to wait at the shelf and they would send someone to help. I waited another 10 minutes but no one showed up. This is Bunnings at its best.
A fairly typical Bunnings although the layout is a bit unusual due to the shape of the building. Reasonable stock levels.
Out of the many Bunnings in Melbourne, this one is my favourite. It's huge and they have the full range and a well looked after garden nursery.
On a Friday night there are more staff here than customers but getting one to assist is very difficult. Far easier to buy on ali express or ebay and wait 1-4 weeks.
The small person dwarf midget trees here are of a higher variety and quality than most other Bunnings.
Hopeless. Young, inexperienced staff o Sunday who don't understand customer service. 20 minutes for click & collect when they weren't busy
Compared to say Moorabbin or Altona, this is one of the smaller Bunnings outlets but it does have a good selection of hardware store and nursery supplies with everything well organised and under the one roof.
It also has a small cafe and an adjacent kids playing area as well as plenty of parking for both cars and bicycles. The trailers and utes available for hire are great specially the ute for when you have larger or longer loads such as timber or plumbing. The D. I. Y.workshops are another great feature.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable although sometimes they're hard to locate when you need assistance so I find it's best to do your homework online and if possible, work out what aisles your items are in before getting to the store.
One of the workers, an older man with a santa-like beard is so rude!
Here I was, trying to locate the Christmas lights I was looking for. No one is around to help me when I needed it. Finally someone comes walking by, so I politely stop him to ask where I could find them. This rude old man points to his name badge and says "have you read my badge? It says flooring which means I can't help you. Find one of the guys from this area to help you" and walks away.
Does not offer to get someone who has the knowledge to help me and completely dismisses me.
If you hate your job that much that you can't even be polite, maybe it's time to retire. Just saying.
Overall, it was hard to find someone around to help me, and I had to go to the counter and request assistance.
Not a great experience and probably won't be back.
I visited the store today after some wine barrels to use in my garden. Shannon offered his time to help me and gave me great advice on how to prep the barrels prior to planting my new trees! Great service on what must’ve been a very busy first day on the first day out of lockdown- thank you very much Shannon!
The Trade entrance is great after the renovations, plenty of parking inside makes it welcoming when you have to load up materials.
Arranged click and collect as I needed a couple of tools for little jobs around the house.
Process was super easy, and the staff at this particular Bunnings were extremely polite and helpful.
A+ service even though they were busy due to lockdown restrictions easing
Bunnings is always a great place to shop for all your hardware needs. They have a great range of storage needs, that have helped me rearrange. They also have a great gardening section. But no matter what your looking for they will probably be able to help you.
Had a whole bunch of little bits of wood to cut. Got great help from to get go and was directed to Shannon at the cut shop. He did an amazing job. Really helpful at working out what In needed and did it perfectly.
The usual Bunnings set up with a large drive thru arra for larger items. The store itself was well kept - shelves stocked & arranged neatly. In all honesty i cant really say much abkut the staff as they wefe few & far between. I could see some people wanting assistance & having to go looking for it, but no one actively seeking out people who needed help. The new check in system worked without any drama & the boy on the sexuriry post to police check in was a sweetheat with a beautiful welcoming smile
At 8: 00 today - tried to leave the store after purchasing some bamboo and ceiling hooks only to be rudely patronised by a lady at the front asking to see our receipt. Explained that I don’t grab receipts - then my friend had to open up bank application to prove that we had paid. Im an engineer I make more money than 3 Bunnings employees combined so I don’t need the blind insinuation that I am stealing out onto me Lol. The blonde eyebrow pierced chick who stopped us from leaving then asked the cash register attendee if we paid and the cash register attendee said ‘I don’t know’ despite the fact that she was standing 2 meters away from us as I was paying? So she’s not even doing her job by paying attention? Amateur hour - won’t be shopping at this particular Bunnings ever again ya doofuses. I’ve worked in sales and customer service in the solar energy region and I would never ever in a million years speak to a customer in that way because I have social etiquette and respect. Learn to be a professional instead of a goose it’s seriously a easy job you do so do it right?
Great place to work and if you need advice for a home renovation don’t be shy to ask these guys go out there way to help loyal customers.
