I love Bunnings it has everything I need to do my Reno’s and more, the staff are always friendly and willing to assist, some are not willing, but hey, U get good staff members and some not so good staff members, it’s always good to know what U want before going there then asking a staff member and get disappointed by a not willing to assist staff member regarding your query….

I went there to get light globes while husband wanted sand and fence palings. Nearly 2 hours later came out with new outdoor plant, pots, screws, batteries, fencing screens, battery powered light and charger (perfect for those pesky blackouts!). Had a coffee and a delicious hot vegetarian Indian tandoori roll which made a nice change from usual vegetarian offering of spinach roll. Shauna at Trade desk very helpful with organising delivery of fencing screens, though timing, anytime between 7am to 7pm painful. Can't they commit at least to am or pm? Also at information desk customer quite rude as he hadn't lined up and wanted to jump the queue I don't think so mister! Geez what is wrong with some entitled people. Was there Tuesday mid morning and store very quiet lots of staff who were all really helpful. 25.11 so fencing screens successfully used to cover ugly hot water service and offcuts to cover gas meter. Thanks Bunnings for material and husband for labour!

More like Mentone covid centre- staff too absorbed in their phones on the front door to check vaccinations statuses, staff in the aisles unmasked whilst coughing and spluttering everywhere. 10: 20 Monday 22nd November some representatives from an artificial flower were working on displays and not one was wearing a mask correctly, the oldest one not wearing a mask at all sneezed so hard he left droplets on my bare leg.

This is very first time that I was faced with rude and not very friendly staff member. I will try not to go there again. At least to avoid conversation with that person. I visited many Bunnings warehouses across Melbourne and never came across anyone like that.

Having read a few of the 4 and 5 star reviews that hint towards the customer experience at this store, I thought it best to call it out for what it is, which is sub-standard. Don't get me wrong, on the whole the people that work here are generally friendly and helpful but the overall experience is a mess for a few reasons:

1. Click & Collect Experience - woeful and slow. I am surprised given that we're in lockdown 6 and they also have a BAU model to lean on, that the experience for this can be so bad
2. Lack of expertise - Unfortunately detailed knowledge lacks at this store in particular, I suspect mainly because it's such a big store requiring so many staff, it's impossible to maintain good product knowledge
3. Stock - the quality of items stocked at Bunnings has always been questionable due to Bunnings leveraging their commercial scale, but to then regularly have staple items out of stock is really unacceptable.

For these reasons and more, I've now made the call to shop at specialty stores rather than drone around the aisles of Bunnings Mentone. Unfortunately it's symptomatic of Bunnings in general - too big to care about the customer now.

With that said, the local charity sausage sizzle is worth stopping by if you want to support good, local causes.

Extremely busy and as usual out of stock of the items I am after. Extremely poor stock control.

Normally great but several isles not accessible due to re-oranisation. Perhaps for now go to other if after door fittings etc.

The Bunnings is like any other Bunnings but I hesitate to go there because of the access to parking, There is only one way in and out which is shared with a large shopping complex and it gets very congested.

Always enjoy Bunnings Mentone. They are currently working on reformatting the isles so expect some disruption but it's minor. Also painting the outside so some reduction on parking again minor. Best to go during the week to avoid crowds.

Hard to find any help in this store. Spent about 20 minutes looking for one item. Asked for help at one desk, the person pointed me in the wrong direction. Then went to an 'information desk'. The person contacted someone on the radio and I was told they would meet me in the aisle. Complete no show after waiting 5 minutes. Rubbish customer service.

Bunnings needs no introduction, my local Bunnings didn't have what i needed in stock but mentone store did. All they need is some 90mm pine and it's a wrap.

Typical Bunnings store, although there are heaps of parking out front it tends to get filled up most of the time so it probably needs more parking spots. Customer service can be a hit or miss at times, sometimes I’m lucky to get staff to answer questions, other days I get nothing at all. The sangas here are excellent at $2.50!

Bunnings is always a "go to" supplier of DIY and professional equipment and materials.
The garden nursery is comprehensive and I've always found their plants of a superior quality!
Huge array of pots/planters
Landscapers need go no further.
Potting mixes, mulches, soils, compost, children's play items.
I rang ahead and they had my product (a plant) near the nursery checkout. I was very appreciative.
Staff in the nursery were knowledgeable and helpful.

There is a very nice cafe.

Usually the store is great, however they are currently going through a refurbishment, and stock is all over the place. Would be normally okay however if you are looking for a particular item, the staff are blaming the refurbishment and have no idea where some stock is. Maybe give it a miss for 9 months and go back when finished.

Well I am glad to see that Bunnings Mentone is taking a socially responsible attitude towards recycling. If you return faulty goods they magically make their way back to the shelves to be resold, I returned an item but yesterday as it was not complete, and then I saw that very same item on the shelf today, i was impressed.

Also well done to the garden team who never appear to know where anything is, but are always happy to send you on a scenic tour of the warehouse on what can best be described as an unforgettable adventure as you search for that one item, you find, somewhere completely different. (thanks to my tour guide Rodney who I see also has other reviews.)

So if you want an adventure tour, or just a lesson in creative recycling, you know the place to go, and the best thing? You will never get blinded by the lamps in the lighting section, there was no power to thankfully you could not turn them on to see what you were buying.

The 2 stars are not one, because, its not every day I get a free tour of the circus and I had to smile at the total chaos of the show.
