Bunja Thai offers lunch meals for $12. They serve decent sized meals with amazing presentation. Lovely customer service and beautiful ambience. Tom yum was more on the sweet side than tangy. Thai fried chicken with coconut rice was one of my faves. Would defs come back!

Great food, bit more on the expensive side but worth it if you are looking for a nice sit down meal in a lovely restaurant.

Food is good.
But, its the actual building
that will enchant you,
being a very old bank
with beautiful details
and decoration from the Victorian era
plus what the restaurant
has added.
The only problem is the
stairs up to the toliets are
not suitable for walking impaired.
Had to struggle up and down this very narrow staircase while holding onto the rail-
go to the toliets across the road behind the tourist information centre
(in the old post office)
before you come here.
Also steps at front door
not suitable for wheelchairs.

Delicious Authentic Thai dishes
My favourite combo has to be the Massaman curry & coconut rice
‘Ploy’ is always very welcoming, friendly & helpful in guiding you through the menu.

I love the old school vibe you get in this antique bank. Super heigh ceilings & ornaments throughout the building make this establishment a must see for tourist.
However, because of the heritage renovation restrictions the greatest weakness is ordinary restrooms & no disable access to toilets.

The other two popular Thai restaurants in Bendigo ‘Mali Thai’ & ‘Piyawat’ are also great, however in my expert opinion I believe this one is better.

Amazing food. All dishes taste so fresh and always full of flavour. My favourite Vietnamese restaurant serving the best rice too.full of flavour.

I love Bunja Thai because they have really sweet and spicy curries and the rice is awesome. And the area it around is just great. I love going here.

Bunja Thai Bendigo is situated in an old 1800's bank building, and we were very lucky to get a table for two being a Saturday night. The mixed dumpling pack, the red curry chicken, the thai beef salad and the roti bread we ordered were delicious. Would recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately the did wasn't brilliant. My husband's was very salty, and he likis salt. I enjoyed my food, which is why I'm giving the two stars. Take service was not good, the waitress didn't understand is when we tried to order, she tried very hard though poor love, we had to wait a very long time to be served again. There really wasn't any table service to speak of. The building is utterly gorgeous, so it's a huge shame we won't be going back. The toilets were up the top floor, so it wouldn't suit anyone who can't climb stairs. I definately would not have been able to take my grandmother here.

We loved it! Staff worked hard to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday. Food was absolutely perfect! We recommend the pepper beef dish and we will be driving up from Geelong for it again!

Would have given more stars except the service was non existent. Admittedly it was new year's eve, but it was a late sitting and the place was emptying. After taking 10 mins for someone to seat us at our reserved table, we waited over an hour 20min to be served, and that is after we asked 3 waitresses! Not even any water!

When food was finally served, it was tasty and but was limited for choice in both food and drink as they had run out of a lot of items.

This was a different experience from last time there and I hope they up their game. Putting on so many trainee waitresses to save a buck on New Years Eve, I think backfired completely.

We enjoyed dining at Bunja. The food was good and so was the service. Waitress was attentive and refilled our table water when it's low. The serving size was a little small. We had pad see ewe, slow cooked pork belly, deep-fried baby snapper and stir fry chicken with oyster sauce.
Nice place but prefer it to be brighter as it was hard to read the menu. Could have given 5 star if the place is a bit brighter and serving size to be a little more.

Nice location, its very open so it wasn't that noisy. The atmosphere while nothing special is pleasant. The food was the highlight. The chicken green curry was some of the best I've ever had. Although the chicken could be better. It was well worth the decent price. Portions sizes are perfect and the menu allows for the option of rice if you wanted to slow down on the carbs.
The dumplings are fuggin choice, and to add to that, the earthy chilli and soy sauces compliment them even further.
The staff are super nice and I would come back here for sure. It's been around for a while for a reason. Get on it.

Visiting Bendigo for the first time we decided to eat at Bunja. Lots to choose from on the menu. The entrees were great. Pleasant food and service.

Little gem where I would definitely go again.
Friendly without hassling
Had the 12 dollar lunch veggie dumplings with chicken and rice and loved it
Based in an old bank so the building itself had a lot of old features to look at while you wait.
Took about 10 mins to get food witch was great for what we paid for

We took advantage of the lunch pack special for $12. On the same plate, you get a small entree, roti, rice and curry (or similar). You can request a vegetarian lunch pack too. Alternatively, Was walking past on way to another restaurant decided to go In, glad we did. Shared plates some from normal menu, other lunch menu & also got some take away. Will return

Food was delicious, Thai fried chicken was superb! Staff weren’t the friendliest, it was quite busy the day we went so there was a bit of a wait which was fine for us but whoever had taken the order from the people behind us had forgotten to put it in so they left because they would have had to wait double the time
