Some people are really getting the wrong read on these guys, and getting personal. I visited, and everything was dead simple: WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). It’s extremely cheap while timber. If you want the full customer experience & options, there are many places & much more money. “Horses for courses”

Quick service and good prices. Guy is to the point but he is probably busy and gets a lot of tyre kickers. If u know what you want you will have it by the next day. If you expect top grade buy from somewhere else that also charges top price. It is great for what you pay.

Bought a pack of Vic Ash before Christmas. He understood when we couldnt pick it up straight away. We allowed it to acclimatise and have laid it. Looks great and our floor polisher thinks it great too! We predrilled before nailing and laid ot properly, it doesn't split if you lay it right.
Know what you are after, don't stuff him about and you can get fantastic timber at a fraction of the price you pay elsewhere. We paid about 40% of the price we had locally and shipping was relatively easy to Canberra.

Service is appalling! Won’t answer basic questions about his products like ‘is the timber kiln dried? ’ or ‘what grade is it? ’. It’s only cheap if it’s a comparable quality product and his evasiveness makes me wonder what he’s hiding. We decided it wasn’t worth the risk as you would have no chance of working with him to sort out any issues if they arise.

Just ask for what u need, his prices are on his website. Good wood low prices. Payments via westpac is best. Operator too busy to be f***** around is willing to help you out in his own time.

Asked questions, he wouldn't answer. Not helpful at all.

Told us to ring around other timber yards, as he prefers people to be informed before they call him.

This guy is ridiculous and l don't know how he is still in business! He is rude with zero customer service. His products are sub standard and not fit for purpose. Don't waste your money. Don't be fooled by the cheap price. There are plenty of reputable places to deal with. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JERK!

The service was very prompt and efficient. The timber is excellent quality, stable, high density and acccurately machined and best price I have seen.

Went to them to look at and choose flooring, don't expect customer service from Grumply who obviously doesn't like using the phone. Once I was there very helpful, cheap and 1yr later floor looks amazing. (Tallowood). Very rustic which I wanted, and holes filled with black filler came up a treat.

Unfortunately i had a very bad experience with their sales staff yesterday, 16/6/14. To the director of the company, this person who picked up the call at 1pm yesterday seriously needs to review his attitude on potential leads. He was just plain rude.

The jerk that answers the phone is still there. I called up to get a price and some info about their product. The guy not helpful at all and just says goodbye and hangs up on you. I even tried calling twice over separate days and same result. I recommend printing their website prices off and taking it to bunnings for the price match guarantee. Don't waste your time with this lot.

Don't believe when they say have it on order. Made me wait 3 weeks then told me others had been waiting longer. Very unprofessional even for a extremely basic business.

Do not deal with this company. He sells cheap, inferior timber and does not stand by his product. He is rude with no customer service. Do not be fooled by a cheap price - his timber is worthless as it will need to be replaced!

Fantastic prices, but you have to be patient with the grumpy tone of customer service. Had a few floors from them, and it's true they have a unique concept of customer service.if anyone is familiar with the British sitcom "Black Books". That kind of sums it up.but if you can accept that is just the way they are you will get great timber at an amazing price.

Average service, seriously people, it’s a big risk buying from this place. My floor started to crumble after 3 months of laying it as a result of wood not being treated properly. They are not kiln dried. No glue or nails would keep the floor in place. Looks like I will have to rip the whole floor out.
