Budget Car & Truck Rental Richmond

Had to wait around 40 minutes for the engine to go through its “clean cycle” despite having a reservation. Then I went to help my partner understand the controls and an employee came out and snatched the keys off her saying that I wouldn’t be able to drive and he is cancelling our booking and taking the money. Absolutely pathetic

Very cheap service, they don't even have manners how to talk to someone. We booked an XL Truck with them but after taking the payment they say no on the face of our team, the person use bad language. Never use them!

The guys in the office on pickup and return dates were terrific, helpful and friendly. My moving van was super clean and practically new and did all it was supposed to do easily. The only downside was when I made a phone inquiry, a female (first name stating in L), was a little abruptly and short on the phone. Politeness goes a long way.

Often use budget truck rental at Richmond when ever I’m moving or helping people move. Alway great service. Would definitely recommend and have done so!

Good service in the sense that the guy behind the counter ran out to move a car and give me a parking spot on the road. However it was all downhill from there. I booked a van for the day and got a much larger van than I wanted - also I got a very old (like 15+ years, it had an old school stereo and nothing digital) van that was dinged up; the inside smelled of old socks and the engine whined loudly for the entire time. I also had to wait while they cleaned it, because I believe they had lost the keys for the van I was supposed to get. The larger van wouldn't fit up my driveway so my helper had to carry a 40 kg fragile door much further than originally anticipated.

Last year I was moving, I went there with my friends to hire small truck. I find staff was not friendly. I did not go back. So, sorry giving you only star for your poor customer service. Thanks

A fantastic experience from the guys - when a van not available was upgraded to a small truck. Excellent service, able to drop off into key safe, great flexibility with my booking. Exceeded expectations which I guess is what it’s all about!

I had made a booking for a 4.2m truck to move house this weekend. I had PAID people to assist me in moving my belongings. I get a call 25 minutes before I was due to pick up the truck saying that my truck is no longer available due to people extending their bookings or not returning their truck. This is unacceptable. People should not be allowed to extend their bookings when other customers rely on hiring a truck!
All that budget could offer me was a 'high top van'. How do you suppose I move a houseworth of belongings across melbourne in a hightop van without doing 100 trips. Poor form budget. Will go above and beyond to ensure I and everyone I know NEVER hire a car/truck from your business.

Great team, the guy on the front desk over the weekend was excellent! Very friendly and excellent service. They went above and beyond and I'll certainly be back. Highly recommend

I called ahead saying I will be on the dot or 2 mins over. Was told that would be fine. Arrived at the address and everything was locked with the staff walking out. I explained I called ahead and was told to drop off keys in the after hours chute and that I would be liable for the vehicle overnight.

Staff wouldn't open the door or listen to me, walking away from me as I was talking. This is after I called ahead. If they told me the place closes and everyone walks out at 6pm on the dot, I would have just stayed home where it was more secure.

Be careful very dodgy people. I filled the tank at the Shell gas station near their office and returned the car but they charge me $52 for petrol again. Just show them the full car when you return the car because they steal your money from deposit.

Good smiles. Courteous. Well mannered. I dealt with York. Trucks. Is part of presentation. Must look clean so customers are satisfied. Weather permitting.

Don't go here they rip you off and try to over charge you with a cleaning fee when it wasn't dirty at all
