Bucks Country Bakehouse reviews
55 Stopped by Bucks Country Bakehouse as a mate told me about it. I went outta my way on way home to check it out and i was NOT disappointed. I ended up spending $67 bucks there and could of spent a hell of a lot more as there was so many amazing things there i wanted. I had a lamb and mint pie! AMAZING! Grabbed some frozen pies for home too, and I'm glad i did now as the pie tasted the bomb.com
If you havent checked them out please do! If you love country bakeries this will be one of your favs i assure you. I rate these guys so much i would drive 2 hours just for a pie feed! LOL. Thanks for the awesome feed guys! I will be back again!
Hands down best pies anywhere. The large chicken and leek in the freezer was amazing! Always stop here on my way through
Honestly best meat pie in Australia! When we visit, we always get a pie each and take 2 family pies home! Always busy but always worth it!
Amazing a must stop on the way to Mt Buller or anywhere where you are passing this bakery.
We brought lots of local jams, jelly and sauces.
The meat pie and steak bacon and cheese was the best one i tried! Soft meat, lots of cheese, hot and the pastry OMG lush!
The lovely lady that served us had a voice of a childhood teacher soothing and so friendly thanks to the lady from the welsh border you made our morning!
We will be back!
Awesome country bakery. You cannot go wrong with their pies, and they do fabulous sausage rolls. We often drive between Melbourne and Mansfield and this is the ideal lunch spot on the drive.
No toilets, which is a pain - be prepared to drive around the corner to the public loos at the rec reserve, but the quality of food makes up for it. If you're passing through Yarck, come hungry and make time to eat at Buck's.
Delicious coffee! Smooth, not bitter and without fault. Hugged me warmly like my grandma does. Best lamb & rosemary pie I've eaten to date.
Disclaimer: only lamb & rosemary pie I've ever eaten
Awesome country Cafe. Best vegie pasties I have ever had. Friendly service. You have to try this one.
Highly recommend! We went back in to get some frozen takeaway pies after we had our hot ones. Big range of other items like sauces, condiments, treats and merchandise available too. On the more expensive side but when it's the only thing around its well worth it never found Yarck worth stopping at but definitely is now.
One of the best ever pies, chicken and leek the filling was full of flavour and the perfect pastry
Yummmm. Had a beef and mushroom pie with a delicious snot block. Then a lamb and rosemary pie then 1/2 a pastie with my wife. I don’t usually have that much but couldn’t stop at one. Highly recommended.
Happened upon this bakehouse at Yarck on the way to Mansfield. What a pleasant surprise with such good quality pies at reasonable prices. The ingredients were generous and as advertised. We had the chunky wagyu steak with mushroom and the rosemary lamb in red wine. Piping hot on a cold day. Hit the spot. It deserves to be a destination in itself. My only wish is my stomach to have more space to savour the other baked offerings. Will be back:)
Good produce but the prices of everyday essentials are off. I understand your business is mainly made of one-off costumers but still need to keep things within reasonable prices.
OK this place is in the town of Yarck Victoria absolutely fabulous pies the chicken and leek one is the best great coffee too
Bloody good pies, coffee too!
Loved the vanilla slice, my bad?
Also purchased some other products, salad dressing etc
Worth the stop
Be aware, no toilet within 200 metres!
Well after being at the Alexandra truck show we stopped in for a pie a coffee and cheesecake very nice and very busy
Great little place to stop on our travels. Bought a coffee and cake and enjoyed a bit of sunshine before we started on our journey home.
Lovely toasties, specially the cheese tomato one. Please don't miss the coffee, it's zen therapy:) the ladies are so awsome to keep serving the customers so quickly and efficiently. Well done, and yes the jams are awsome.
March 2022 - stopped for 2 sausage rolls and a coffee. Unfortunately the sausage rolls were way over-cooked and were very hard and tasteless. The coffee is of the bitter variety. I'm still happy to call in here and will try a sandwich next time as they looked very good.
2020 - Omg what a pleasant surprise! Hugely deep pies all made on premises with the best pastry I've ever had. A very comfy place and so rustic. The staff are lovely and friendly too. A must stop!
Service with a smile and top quality food and beverages. I asked for my chai to be super hot and it was. I ordered a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich and it was the best I’ve ever had. Who would think that one cheese and tomato toastie would stand out and that is what it did. A great place to stop on your road trip.
Busy place. All the food looks good. I had a wagyu and mushroom pie. Bloody hot! Good but a bit heavy on the gravy.
