BUCKLEYS / Buckley's Entertainment Centre reviews
60 Very busy popular place busy place. Lots of kids Friday & Saturday nights.
Beautiful steak
Great family, friendly venue for a bite to eat. Large carpark. Baby friendly change table facilities. Bistro style food, order at the counter and they will bring to your table. There is a large play area for the kids with different sections rated for different ages, as well as a large screen TV and paid games. Food I recommend would be the gnocchi, risotto and kids fish and chips.
Cleans, Vibrant environment, with wonderful playground the kids loved. Meal was huge, tastey was fresh, unfortunately they don't have any doggy bags for taking home leftovers, which I think is just such a shameful unnessary waste.
This place was absolutely fantastic. Asked for a table close to the playground for my child and bang, we are right beside the door, which was great. The food was finger licking good and well priced for the serve you received. Definitely be coming back next time we are down here.
Not to mention the staff as well all were smiling and very friendly and accommodating.
Thank you for making our night awesome
Ok food- meals didn't come out all at the same time. We did have a big table though. Great service
Ample parking, selection of drinks to choose from was very good. Food was okay; the brisket was chewy.
Lovely food, not too pricey, great value for money. Kids playground huge bonus as is the ice cream bar. A must do if visiting the area with kids.
Kids play space is fun for the little ones and food comes out fast.
Unfortunately the vegetarian options on the menu are limited and uninspired.
After dining here for at least a dozen times I was told there's actually a separate vegan menu which I have never seen. Why on earth this is not included as a section in the main menu or put out on tables for your patrons to choose from!? Baffling.
Grouse! Great food and service very clean awesome kid a play area, bug and yummy meals. 100% will be returning.
FIRST & LAST TIME.
Thought we would try it after its major renovation, the place has curb appeal. There was 5 of us. We ordered 4 mains and a entree. The person serving us messed up the order to have the entree come our first. So my mother in laws meal came out and we all were left waiting for 45 minutes before ours arrived. My husband complained about our order and they said our food would be out asap. Eveyone else in the whole room had their food and we were the last.
The food wasn't even worth the wait. I cannot belive we paid $140 for garbage food. Anyone who thinks their food is good obviously has no taste buds. We brought in a birthday cake I saw the waitress touching it with her bare unclean hands. I was not happy at all.
WONT BE COMING BACK, THERE ARE BETTER Places AROUND GEELONG. I'd even rather just stay home.
Been here a few times now so it's time for a review. I've tried a Parma, variety of steaks, ceasar salad, along with different sides. All seemed to lack something, the Black Angus 400g rump, dry, overseasoned with salt and pepper, even cooked medium rare it was tough both times I tried it. Accompanied by a small lackluster salad with a sour salad dressing, a oddly rough textured garlic butter that tasted like it was in the clearance section of your local IGA deli, and chips so plain that I'd rather have a side of maccas fries.
The ceasar salad isn't much better. Although the chicken isnt bad it's ruined by a yet again sour tangy salad dressing. Wiltered lettuce and a sparing handful of croutons.
The Chicken Parmigiana was mostly standard, but quite dry topped what looks like crushed tomato's more than a sauce, biting into tomato skin with your chicken isn't exactly pleasant.
Overall I'd rate this restaurant/pub a 2 out of 5. There are much better places to go for are both cheaper and serve tastier and better quality meals. The whole bistro is also very loud when it's full bad navigating the crowd of people at tables right next to the bar and the kitchen is too much sometimes.
Charged in here for dinner, we have two little varmits ages 2 and 4! The girls had a ball in the expansive play area, while the cook and I knocked back a few CC and Dry! Great feed and fun for the family.
Great indoor play space for the kids to run around and a vast menu to cater for anyone. Portions are generous and staff were great!
The venue is extremely family friendly but unfortunately the food is trash. Soggy battered fish, sloppy greasy pizza and dry schnitzel. Tried twice but won’t return.
Pretty average pub. Food is decent, nothing amazing, sizes are very big, bit on the pricey side for a pub though. I think a specials menu for the week could really help it stand above a bit more.
Kira was an excellent waitress. She looked after us all night. Catered for our every need. Could not recommend buckley’s anymore thank to kira.
I had a wonderful lunch at Buckley’s. I ordered the barramundi and it was 10/10. Kira was our waitress, and she looked after us very well. The ice cream parlour was incredible with a wide variety of toppings. Will definitely be coming back again!
Dined into Buckley’s tonight from 3pm to 6pm we had tea at 5, used the playground, had coffee and cake and then dinner later on. Meal was very nice, no complaints with that. Although, the meals are huge and there comes my first opinion. If you offer such large meals please allow for a take home option. 1. You have a takeaway menu so why is it an “in house policy” to not offer doggy bags? 2. If I wanted to take home dessert would that have been a flag out no also?
My second complaint/opinion is that majority of the staff you had on the roster for lunch/dinner on the 24/04/21 were soooooo inattentive. They were either pre occupied with “how busy it was” or they were just plain rude. Yes you had a kids party on and you had to clean up from it which may have set you back, but if that’s the case get better stuff who can handle a bit of pressure as well as maintaining a smile and politeness or employ an extra staff member to help with party’s.
Love Buckley’s for what they offer families and the food is always nice but today really baffled me and I won’t be going back in a hurry sorry, I’ll try other places before thinking of here first.
Food came out very quickly for a day that was booked out with parties. Parmi’s were delicious. We were served by a new staff member who did an outstanding job under the pressure of the busy lunch rush. I love this place
Terrible meal. They don't know how to make cocktails. Ordered a espresso Martini was disgusting. If you are going to make cocktails you need to try some of the mixture.it was the worst martini ever.waitress need to smile service was very ordinary.will not be going back.
