Buckets Early Learning Centre

We loved being a part of the Buckets family for over 3 years. The educators have gone above and beyond to encourage my kids in their areas of interest and help them develop confident personalities. Admin staff always went above and beyond also, including being very flexible and accommodating. I could not have felt more comfortable sending our two daughters Lia & Ella to Buckets and we are thankful for the wonderful time we had as a part of the community.

All staff members and teacher in the 4yr old kinder hub have done such an amazing job teaching my son new things and supporting him with trying new food. He has improved so much since attending. Would definitely recommend this centre

My children have been going to Buckets for years and absolutely love it there! The educators always give excellent care and the kids seem to learn a lot. I also appreciate the daily photos that are shared.

I send my son to Buckets and couldn't be happier. The team is amazing, fun and caring. My son loves being there so much.

Our daughter nearly 3yo has been attending this centre for over 2 years and we couldn't be happier with the love, care and education that she receives. They cater for her gluten free dietary and sensitive skin issues with ease. She has a wonderful time there. We are also very happy with the communication, processes and support that they have provided through COVID-19. We are extremely grateful to be a part of the Buckets community and highly recommend this centre!

Baby room staff were very good, but the staff in purple room lack responsibility and were not nice.my son was bitten in the arm by another child and the teachers did not even know. When I showed them the bite mark they said my son must have bitten himself, but that was impossible because he didn't have that many teeth yet. Also sometimes kids would be fed food that was too hot. After my son went to purple room he started having nightmares and would cry more.

My daughter attended in 2018 for a year before we moved due to relocation. I found the 2 ladies that manage the center to be very responsive, kind, helpful and courteous. My daughter loved the carers and used to run to her favorites for cuddles. She brought home art work daily and the carers put in special effort of mothers/fathers day plus parents birthdays. Would highly recommend.

Buckets Early Learning Centre at Hughesdale is a wonderful small daycare centre which caters from baby through to Kinder program. Our family moved recently from Brisbane to Melbourne. Finding a great daycare was the priority for our family and settling into our new life in Melbourne. Buckets have been just fantastic! The childcare workers and administration team have made this transition so easy for us and our Son. The carers have been attentive to our sons individual needs and have integrated him into the centre also transitioning him into to their Kindergarten program earlier this year - the kinder program has been nothing short of superb, the kinder teachers are vibrant and clearly love what they do. Buckets use an app to communicate with parents and this new innovation is an awesome new addition to the centre. Our son enjoys lots of different activities which the centre provide as part of the fee other centres charge extra for such activities like Yoga, Fiction Factory and Sportzbuzz. Bush kinder is also a favourite. Thanks Buckets Hughedale, keep doing what you are doing.

Great centre and great staff. I have been sending my kids there for the last 3.5 years. The amount of patience and care shown towards kids makes me feel more at ease every time I drop my little ones off. Though this centre may not have the fanciest furniture like the newer childcare centres around Melbourne, but when my kids tell me how much they enjoy their day and who was teaching them what, I know it was the right choice.

If only I could give zero stars. I sent my child there when he was 3. We do not eat Beef for religious reasons but the staff refused to offer an alternative. He was given the Beef meal with the meat picked out. After multiple assurances from the Manager that we would get an alternative meat (like lamb or pork or fish or chicken), we found that the staff were not receiving any direction to do so. We pulled out and sent our child to GoodStart in Oakleigh South. The room leader was very defensive when I asked her to at least offer sandwiches after lunch. Her exact words were: "If the child does not eat the food that is offered, then it is not my problem". I have complaint pending with the Dep of Childhoold and Early Education Development. Absolutely pathetic.

Could not rate this centre highly enough, all the carers are fantastic. My son who is rather shy with new people has taken to a number of the carers. It's nice to see that when we are walking in or out all the carers will greet me and my son, even the ones I don't recognise from other rooms. Even the ladies in the office can tell me how his day been.
My son also has a few dietary requirements which they have been more than accommodating for which is one less worry on my mind.

Both my children have attended Buckets ELC Hughesdale from about the age of 14 months old (now aged 3 & 5yr). Both my children and I have enjoyed their time here and we have made some lovely friends both young and old. I have personally found the staff friendly, helpful and very approachable during this time. When we moved from the area and had other childcare facilities on our doorstep, I decided to keep the children at Buckets because of the bonds we had all formed with the staff and other children. My daughter in particular (5yr) absolutely adores her teachers and I'm sure she will be sad to say goodbye at the end of this year. The facilities are good and there are great outdoor play areas. They offer a number of different activities during the week & year such as bush kinder, music classes, animal visits and Sports buzz which both my kids love. I'm extremely happy that both of my children have had a wonderful experience here and I'm most grateful to everyone who has contributed to making it memorable for the right reasons.

We decided to send our Children to this childcare aged 2 and 3. The building is new and the place looks good. On orientation day our child aged 3 loved it and his carers were great. Our 2 year olds orientation was a disaster, his carers could not have cared he was in the room and barely spoke to him or my wife. When the issue was raised they became defensive and the situation became awkward at best. Hence we now are sending them both somewhere else.
