Buchan Valley Roadhouse reviews
23This is the only place in Buchan and for some distance in any direction to get fuel. Surprisingly the price of fuel wasn't as bad as I expected considering it has a bit of a captive audience. You can also buy Takeaway ice creams and some other supplies here.
A burger this size,
A big patty that doesn’t taste and look like thin as Mccas,
And the price $10-12
No regrets.
Yummo toasties, The coffee is great too, Beautiful place to sit and look at the views, I'd go again anyday
Location: 8/10.
Cleanliness: 7.5/10
Service: 7/10.
Prime location on the main street of Buchan, quite clean despite looking like a refurbished 70s place giving the stereotypical Aussie vibe, and good food that costed $10 for both a lamb pie for me and a small milkshake for my Pop.
This does have good hours as it closes at 5pm however almost all the food is gone when it's afternoon tea time.
The pie could have been warmer despite being on display in a food heater to maintain its warmth and has been waiting all day for it to be purchased.
Considering this is in a one horse town, I'd recommend people who want a quick bite to get quality roadhouse food to support the locals as opposed to the big corps overseas (referring to McDonalds).
Stopped to get a coffee. Decided to order 2 burgers plus a wrap for the three of us. Great burgers and coffee. Super yummy. Ate outside and enjoyed it. Thanks
You must stop by The Roadhouse if you’re in Buchan, the breakfast wrap, salad roll and seafood box was great, so tasty and everything cooked well! The food is clearly made with love!
Beautiful customer service and good coffee as well! I can’t wait to come back ️
Absolutely delicious food and coffee, with very good prices and service. There's a good range of menu items, all of them seemingly created with care. Possibly the best chicken burger I've ever had, and the fish and chips were tasty and clean, not soaked in oil. Really pleasant experience, and I would recommend any visitors to Buchan to stop by.
Yummy vegetarian burger! Ok coffee and good hot chocolate. It was a saviour lunch stop in the middle of the Buchan national park. Will try again and recommend!
The burgers are the best I would say the best in the bloody world. And OMG! You can say it again when you say that this road house should be in every bloody town. So everyone get around the buchan valley road house and enjoy a wonderful coffee and a bloody good burger.
Fresh food, lovely service, really cute little shop. REAL potato cakes which is super important to my fussy husband haha. A great little place to stop, better than I expected from a roadhouse. Sad that most other places in town are closed. I hope it all gets busy again for them soon.
Great breakfast burger but the coffee was pretty average. The lady owner was very rude and not at all friendly! Her daughter who served us was very polite and friendly.
Great little town but I recommend finding somewhere else for breakfast.
Nice cafe, good food only spoiled by a miserable female local customer with poor attitude towards visitors.
Amazing coffee really good oat milk. Super lovely and friendly service and fantastically priced and flavoured b&e rolls, super accommodating to dietary requirements too. Thanks for the lovely breaky:)
Came Jan’18 and truly enjoyed your burgers. Returned Jan’21 after bushfires to help local economy. While there, dined with them twice. Lady owner and her serving staff quite unfriendly both in demeanour and tone of voice. Food ok but of course these things can get taken together with the entire experience. Possible worry over recent COVID outbreak in Lakes Entrance at the time, then again.weren’t everyone else. Smile and loosen up.
Cute little café with a lovely outdoor seating. The egg and bacon roll (only $5) and the latte were savoury and delectable. If you’re in Buchan for caving, stop by here for breakfast.
Staff were friendly, and the food was pretty good. The burgers were good and the chicken souvlaki was excellent apart from the fact that it had regular cheese which was a bit weird but still fine. The coffee was also pretty good and that's coming from a Melbourne drinker lol. Very relaxed vibe also!
Best burger I’ve had in years. Egg n bacon rolls yummo. The choc milkshakes, wow! Service amazing! Lots of fresh daily produce. Friendly locals. Top shop to stop for brekky, lunch, brunch, petrol, meat or supplies. My son got a Kodak moment with a pretty cool tractor. Wheels bigger than him. Awesome.
A great little place to eat in Buchan. Only place open for food after 2pm, and the food was relatively cheap and simple but still tasted great and left us all full. Staff were friendly and many interesting things inside to buy at such as local honey, bread and newspapers.
Fresh food. Coffee and soft drink. Still sells petrol. Lovely lady is very helpful. Place is for sale
Thank you for feeding us and fuelling us during the recent fires. The lemon slice is still a talking point amongst our crew.
