Brunswick Mechanics Institute

Nice little and personal venue for a gig. Enjoyed it, though seats were a little hard.

Went to the festival of surrealism, saw a guy but naked conducting a wrestling masked kazoo orchestra. Then watched a Scottish man read excessively accurate brain junk. Brilliant.

The venue was great, has "toilets with and without urinals" rather than stick people with and without dress which is nice touch.only nitpick is they locked me out for 20 minutes and had to scab a smoke from junior and his mate.

10/10 would recommend taking pics of posters out the back of mumma Chen's and seeing where it leads.

This is a beautifully restored old (1868) Mechanics Institute building that has been reinvented as a local community cultural and performing arts venue where you can see a great variety of live performance including theatre, dance and music, as well as film, talks, workshops and presentations. The theatre is small, about 100 seats, but it's nonetheless a great venue.

Small but well set up ad an intimate theatre. Plenty of eating and drinking places around too.

Historic art & theatre space, beautifully restored.

We saw a Fringe comedy show here and it's as great venue. Hope to see more shows here in the future.
