Brotherhood of St Laurence reviews
19One of the best Brotherhoods I've visited, a huge sprawling warehouse with high chances of finding desired objects.
Some of the staff are very rude. Pricing reasonable for clothes and some kitchen items but furniture and other bric-a-brac are overpriced or priced in a manner inconsistent with their true value in the real world. I get a sense that those pricing in these Op shops are extremely out of touch.
Have always used Brotherhood of St. Laurence Moonee Ponds to make my donations. Today I did a drop off and was made to feel really uncomfortable (and stupid) by one of the staff/or volunteers. I didnt see the small sign advising they were not taking donations currently. Rude is an understatement. I wont donate here again.
Awesome everyday items as always, great staff. Not much could go wrong here. Thanks for your service guys. Well appreciated.
Nice large and airy building. Wide selection of pre-loved items, from the typical clothing selection to crockery and even some furniture.
One of my favourite op-shops. Everything is quite affordable and most clothing items have a fixed price, which I absolutely love. I'm not a huge fan of colour coordination for clothing items, as it is harder to find things in my size, but the colour coordination for bric-a-brac is very nice and really helps when I'm looking for something specific. I love how open the store feels, and it is very easy to navigate around. The lighting is perfect as well. One thing that disappointed me during a visit was the customer service, as there was kind of a negative vibe coming from one of the cashiers who served me, but overall the customer service is pretty decent. The store has great hours and is right across from the train station, so it is very easy to get to. Would definitely recommend.
Great little shop with reasonably priced preloved item. Scored a good condition well loved jacket.
Best pre loved store in Melbourne, great staff & excellent products. There is always a bargain to be had, I never leave the store empty handed & my purse still full. I dress in designer clothing for a bargain price, you could say I have champagne taste on a beer wage & able to afford it.
Brilliant variety of second hand items for affordable prices, even the special items area is fairly priced:) sometimes I don't find anything, but if you come early enough in the day, you should be able to find good items at affordable pricing. Only down side is the volunteers are often not welcoming.
I don't mind this op shop and usually come here a few times a year at least. Pretty big place. Has large furniture, clothes, books, some white goods and bric-a-brac etc. Not too hard to get a park at the rear of the place itself. I think it is worth having a look.
Like most op shops now, clothing WAY overpriced. You can buy new clothing cheaper in Kmart or big w
I saw a ghost in this shop
i was in the change room
this wont stop me from buying clothes from the shop
but beware of the change room
there is ghosts
There is hidden Jena to be found here. Sometimes I walk out empty handed but when I do find something I'm thrilled as the prices are set prices and not fluctuated because of a certain brand name. Great collection of books too.
Like most thrift shops. Clothes and items are quite clean. Some of the items seem a little overpriced.
This is one of the best op shops north of the river. The staff have so much pride in what they offer and the fabulous colourful decor make it a pleasure to visit each time, you can always find a bargain there.
This is a really cool shop ppl r great Pension discount on wed.check it out.if you like second hand stuff and some new stuff you should enjoy looking there.
Scored a great buy with a brand new bar fridge only $85! This store generally has something interesting or worth buying! Have bought quite a few dvds and books here cheaply.
Love coming here prices are so affordable especially the children's range. Thank you so much for making it possible
Large shop, larger than most but still nothing special for clothing. Cloths are not seperated by size making it pretty impossible to find any thing that fits. Most clothing is tiny and would only fit 6 to 10 in women's.
Is better for bargans in books, furniture and handbags/purses.
