Brother Hen

We were pretty disappointed. We hadn't been here for over a year due to covid and unfortunately we won't be rushing back, the toast was cold as soggy and the avocado didn't taste fresh at all, it seemed like it was watered down or something strange.
Granted it was a public holiday but extremely over priced for the quality

I’ve recently discovered this local trendy cafe. Really cool to see them embrace online ordering & best practice during COVID when eating in. It’s so user-friendly with extras to add or add to your order as you go.

Last month went to order my favourite - Zucchini Fritters. Asked the waiter (who happened to be the owner) if they noticed the extra saltiness in the dish and truly went above & beyond to remake, offer another dish or cater to dietary needs. As we were in a bit of a rush, I was overly surprised with how quickly & thoughtful the owner was in preparing a take away salad for me on the run. Thank you Mr. Owner & Brother Hen! Looking forward to our next return & many more.

A Great brunch experience! Enjoyed the contactless service having to order online. It was peaceful and a great time to catch up with friends during breakfast Try the Bao!

My favourite, regular breakfast place in the North West. Friendly staff, great food, always terrific. Love the Spanish eggs. Kids love the chickens and it even now has a rooster.

Delicious food with fast service. Funky atmosphere and the kids ate all their food and enjoyed the chickens out the back.

Lovely little brunch place and chef definitely knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend (and maybe just change a playlist next time lol.)

Quote simply, the best breakfast ever! Big call - but a hands down winner. The crispy eggs are amazing, the zucchini fritters are mind blowing, the simple egg and bacon roll makes you wonder why nowhere else can make something so simple, so very delicious. The hotcakes look amazing, but I cannot get past their eggs.maybe next time. Great food, fabulous staff and sensational service. A favourite and must-go to locals and visitors alike.

Today we went for breakfast. Very interesting experience. You need to order online and yet we are sitting at a table. I orded what looked like a very nice meal from the photo (see my uploaded pix). Also orded a ham cheese toasty and it was burnt. Found out later that the breakfast i orded that was $12 needed the extras added (would have ended up at $30ish for one breakfast). Will not be heading back to Brother Hen any time soon.

Great coffee, good cafe fare with an extra bit of variety. Most importantly, the staff were highly attentive to keeping all the families out of the heat on a ridiculously warm day.

Absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, coffee was amazing and service was great. All the staff were very friendly. Definitely going back again!

Good vibes and probably have great burgers. I chose poorly and selected fried eggs which is literally two slices bread and one egg for $20

Staff were great! They were extremely busy and had no tables but accommodate us really quickly. Food came out fast too.

Don't ask for toast and vegemite, because it will come with no butter. When the butter comes it will be melted. Nice toast tho.

Super friendly staff, very tasty breakfast - not pretentious or overpriced a perfect spot for a breakkie/brunch meal. Excited to try lunch here!

Brilliant Nutella and honeycomb bao's. Absolutely delicious. Breakfast was really good too. Highly recommend this place. Great bloody Mary's as well.

Cool place with a chicken barn in the back.

The smoothies were really good and mixtures to make up their flavours were JUST right.

The pork quesadillas were delicious, we definitely made a good choice with that one.

I wouldn’t recommend the big breakfast plate. It was so anticlimactic and basic. It comes with an freshly squeezed orange juice though, which is a plus. We just didn’t know what to do with it because we ordered smoothies already lol.

Service is excellent and friendly.

One negative is that I felt it was a bit overpriced. Paid 35 per person for breakfast with a smoothie each.

Stumbled across this lovely place on my morning walk. Lovely vibe and a tasty bircher to start my day. Worth a visit!

Great coffee and the most amazing ricotta hot cakes I’ve had in a long time.
Forget about the toppings for a sec, the hotcakes themselves are light, fluffy and perfect!

This place is truly amazing. The service is friendly, the food is wonderful, and the coffee is fantastic. Love coming here whenever I visit my family in Melbourne.
