The decor here is amazing and I really love it. Love catch up over coffees of hot chocolate at Baba Budan, their coffees are so good and the hot chocolate is powered by Mork Chocolate. Really recommend this spot for coffee and hot chocolate

Have been going there since 2007 and only ever had consistently excellent coffees. The staff are also super friendly and efficient. The beans are great for home too:)

Last week I went to Seven Seeds in Carlton and ordered an “iced oat latte” which was served in a clear takeaway cup. One you would usually get when ordering a takeaway cold brew.

Today I went to BBB and ordered the same drink but this time it was served in a traditional paper takeaway cup which has significantly less liquid. I was very confused and asked the man at the counter and he said we serve it in this cup because it holds “the strength better”. I don’t completely understand this logic.

The inconsistency has deterred me from visiting BBB again. Management should clarify the right method.

Love this place, I always stop by when I’m down in Melbourne. Cute cosy cafe, with quality coffee. I love their filter coffee.

Has lost some of the shine it used to have.music too loud for such a small place. I was unable to hear anything the person sat next to me was saying. Coffee was still good but there are quite a lot of places about that serve up coffee of a similar quality.

One of the best coffee I ever had ever! I only wished they had bigger mug sizes, and I actually felt that the takeaway cups are indeed larger (But it could be that my eyes are playing tricks on me).

This little coffee shop is really crowded. They have a good coffee and some pastries where people are willing to queue for a long line. The service was fast, the staffs works efficiently, and most of all the price was reasonable.

This place decorated in a shabby industrial look with chaired ceilings. One square table was placed near the main entrance, and people just sit and mingle enjoying their coffee. Inside there are some of seatings, but not a lot.

I must say the coffee here really boosted my day and the caffeine worked last long. One more thing, they have a babycinno too so everyone can enjoy.

I went to several times. Coffee was always tasty. One day I really wanted to have this coffee so I got off train and went to the shop for coffee in the morning. It looks chef came from the kitchen and he made a coffee was not good at all. It was early morning so probably there is no barista at the time. I want to say please do not sell coffee if there is no barista. Many people still might like this coffee shop. But probably there are some people never come back like me.

This is the place I buy my coffee from when I am in the city. Unfortunately it's very crowded and often there is a long queue of tourists trying to get in. Seating inside is limited and there's no seating outside. I believe they use good quality coffee beans, however I like my flat white with a crème on top but here I never get it. Being that busy might be compromising the quality of the coffee ordered. The coffee takeaway cup size is small and the cost is $4.50 which is too high for that cup size comparing it to other coffee places around the city. The interior is interesting, with chairs hanging down from the ceiling, unusual but I don't mind it, the staff is friendly and polite. If I was visiting this place for the first time I would not queue up to get a coffee here, however if I see no queues I would walk in and order one to judge the quality for myself.

Baba Budan won the first place of my best coffee shop list. Their mocha is my favorite, the latte is also super fine. I dont think the cafe is made for people to sit down and relax, but that's okay.  Located in the CBD center and open since 7am makes the cafe a great place to get a quick perfect coffee before office.

After trying this spot several times, I would say coffe is nice; BUT weak white coffees, overheated filtered black coffee, way overpriced.
The ambient is nice and service usually friendly.

Small cafeteria with great coffee.
We ordered about 30 coffees for an excursion. Sam was very accommodating in organizing them.
Not enough place to sit down besides a couple of tables.

Great coffee. I’ve been avoiding this place for years because it’s always crowded and has a queue. This time we got in and actually had seats!

Don't come here at peak times expecting a seat. Or lunch: they have a small collection of (rather tasty) cakes but no kitchen.

My Melbourne based coworker thinks this place is the best place in town for coffee. The line and the number of tourists would echo that sentiment. While in town I was able to try Brother Budan and market place coffee. I would say Brother Budan is the better of the two. I tried both the black and the white coffee. The piccolo had a nice creaminess and the espresso taste rang through. Oftentimes this balance isn’t there and the espresso is too strong.

The black coffee was batches brewed, which J was really disappointed by. I am surprised that finding pour over coffee/ made to order coffee is hard to find in Australia. For a place that prides itself on being a coffee centric place AU hope this trend changes soon.
