Bright Freeburgh Caravan Park reviews
68One of the best parks I’ve stayed in travelling Australia over 3 years. Great location, big sites, spotless amenities, friendly staff…highly recommend!
My family and extended family have stayed at this park for a number of consecutive years at the same time every year for the annual Bright Rod Run in Nov and it has always been a lovely fantastic park to book and stay in.until this year when a new rule was introduced of only allowing one vehicle per booking regardless of site size or cabin (where many have allocation areas for parking of 2 cars) with any 2nd vehicle needing to be parked outside the park in a very small area where a number of lge rubbish dumsters are kept and with absolutely no lighting at night for your vehicles protection, that can only fit around 8 cars and can full accessed by anyone driving past the boom gates park entry! However if you own a car that is considered of a 'higher' value then your allowed to have 2 cars per booking! How is it fair that because I don't own a car considered of "higher" value by the park staff to the person booked beside me that I'm made to park one of my vehicles outside the park. It should not matter how much one person's car is valued at to another, we all as equal paying customers are deserving of equal rights!
You can't have one rule for some paying customers and another for every one else! We have always made sure our vehicles have been parked safely and considerately of other customers booked on either side of us, and have never used another customers allocated spot or parked blocking any roads or exits.
After having a walk through the park while staying both on a powered site and in a cabin on the same day both myself and my family member were told to remove our second cars I found 5 powered sites with 2 cars each and 3 cabins with 2 cars each both exactly the same size as what we had paid for! Double standards much!
I fully understand it is an extremely busy weekend for the park without alot of vehicles present at one time, but allowing some customers to break a rule over other customers based on monetary value is discrimination and unfair. If everyone is fully aware of how to safely and considerately park their vehicles in the areas where there is space allocated then there should be one rule for every single paying customer!
The parks terms and conditions states 'one car per booking/site not one car per booking unless your second vehicle is above 'x' amount then we are happy to ignore the rule!
I was pleasantly surprised by the cabin at Discovery Parks in Bright. Despite its low cost, it was spotlessly clean, cozy, and felt like a home away from home. Set amidst nature’s beauty, this budget-friendly stay doesn’t skimp on quality. Highly recommended for those seeking value and comfort.
Great place to stay.
The Bathrooms were extremely clean. (HOT water)
The camp kitchen was well set up with every thing you would need.
The pool and kids play area clean and fun for all age groups.
GREAT STAY…………. THANKS
While proximate to Bright still an amazing caravan park. We booked the premium cabins which are amazing and very well equiped. The whole park is very well maintained with plenty of things to do. Pool is a little bit chilled but sort od expected. Highly recommended
Nice enough park - not particularly child friendly. If you’ve got young kids go somewhere else
More value than what you spend. The staff here are very considerate of the guests. The cabin was spotless when I arrived and has a well equiped kitchen, hot water and AC and all other appliances which made my stay as comfortable as home.
Only issue was with the Jacuzzi.didn't work properly, splashed water all over the washroom. Room was spacious and clean services were good. Common kitchen and BBQ area was very clean.
Nice stay here for 3 days 2 night.we are enjoy it here with our 3 kids.our first ever Eid Mubarak celebration at Bright.
Beautifully equipped park beside the Ovens River.large sites and very helpful staff. Price was good also
Very relaxed park by the Ovens River.
Good walks around and excellent amenities.
Just a short drive to Bright.
Highly recommend.
Excellent place to stay for a break. The nearby walk along the Ovens River is most enjoyable to walk and ride.
The park is located in a quiet, country setting a short drive from Bright. We, as a family, were made to feel very welcome. Cabin was clean and airy with a beautiful outlook.
Great for families.
Great peaceful park its so neat the birds sing all day views ate amazing well done management and stuff
We are a small family with 3 kids ages 6,3 and 3months. We booked to go camping at Discovery Parks Bright 4/10/2022. We were excited to go camping but the Victorian weather just got worse and worse. We waited till the last minute to see if the weather would improve and we were ultimately forced to cancel due to flooding and extreme weather. I could not logically take my family and try camping in a tent in this weather. We called the park to request to reschedule our booking for a later date. The person on the phone who was helping us insisted that this was not possible and that we would loose our deposit of $92 due to waiting till the last minute. They showed no interest in helping us or trying to understand the situation we are facing. I am not impressed by the outcome of this and will never take my family to this camp grounds again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cabin was excellent and bed was very comfortable.
Hosts friendly and helpful.
Great location off mountain for our week at Mt Hotham.
Stayed for the weekend. Have enjoyed what the park has to offer. Big bounce pillow for the kids and a playground area, also a nice fire and communal BBQ area. Beautiful views of mountains all around.
Spacious affordable and so accommodating!
We stayed one night in the superior cabin. It was spacious, warm and clean. Check in and out was easy, with the park management being so accomodating for a late check in after a day skiing at Falls Creek. Great location close to Bright and surrounding ski resorts. We woke up with mountain views and the sound of kookaburras. We’ll be back!
We had a Horrible experience here. The woman at the reception was unhelpful and unfriendly. We were traveling with 3 kids and asked if we can put a small suitcase somewhere for a few hours when we checked out, that lady rudely turned us down straight away before I finished my word. Every Time we went to the reception, we felt scared. The cooking gas for the oven and the stoves were not working properly. It took me 20mins to fry an egg for breakfast. No Wifi at all during our stay. I truly do not recommend this place!
Do yourself a favour & stay at this beautiful caravan park. We spent 3 night here down on site 9 it was stunning, so quiet & peaceful listening to the river every night. Facilities were clean & well maintained & staff super friendly & helpful. Will definitely be coming to stay here again.
