Bridgewater Bakehouse Bendigo

Had a lovely pie and sausage roll for lunch today. I really enjoyed it! The pastry is fantastic, a soft pastry that holds together and a crisp flakey outer. Unfortunately the chunky pepper steak had sold out before I got there, but the salami and cheese was an exciting new flavour of pie I hadn’t seen before. I would recommend it, and would have it again. The sausage roll was my second item, after the pie. Not normally a sausage roll fan, but this one was for sure my favourite! Can’t wait to get back to Bendigo to taste more delicious baked goods

Just been to Bridgewater bakehouse in bath lane, very disappointing. Asked for rolls/sandwiches to be made up, they said "No rolls, No bread! " We then sat there and watched others walk in and order and get sandwiches made up. Terrible customer service. Has always been a regular go to with my grandchildren, today was the last straw, never again.

BEST VANILLA SLICE IN THE WORLD!
The lovely people behind the counter just add to the experience of purchasing goods here. The Vanilla Slice and Jelly Slice (my first) are amazing, the plain meat pie was good, but not as good as the sweets.
Having read all the press about the vanilla slices, they were my first stop after entering Bendigo. It would have been one and done had I not been kept in town due to flooding, so I just had to go back and get another one each of the four days I was there.
I could sincerely eat them every day of my life!

Third time I've been here and 3rd time coffee is lukewarm. I shouldn't have to ask for hot coffee. Very disappointed. No 4th visit for us.
REPLY FROM BUSINESS OWNER IS INCORRECT. DIDN'T ASK FOR REPLACEMENT ABD DIDN'T GET ONE. WITH THE ATTITUDE DISPLAYED IN COMMENTS LIKE WE CAN'T READ EVERYONE'S MIND IT SHOWS HOW POOR THIS BUSIBESS IS IN CUSTOMER RELATIONS. NEVER EVER GOING THERE AGAIN.

Went to the drive thru bakery at kangaroo flat and the menu for cakes was not worth the trip … you can get a better choice at beechworth bakery which I don’t find that great either… will continue to drive to heathcote as Gaffneys Bakery is the best so far in the area …. Very disappointed ️

I usually stop at Bridgewater and have enjoyed their pies for years. Called in to the new drive through at Kangaroo Flat today. Very disappointed the young person serving me could not be less interested in customer service and my 2 plain pies took so long to come out… Soon found out why… They were clearly microwaved to molten lava and we’re only partially filled with meat. Could not help but think that this small local business has grown to a point where they compromise on quality for quantity and turnover… It’s back to Gillies Pies for me when I’m in Bendigo

This is the Bakery we were looking for on our holiday. Lovely service and great choice of food. Worth a visit.

I was disappointed with the service I received this morning. I found the gentleman serving very rude, with no smile or good morning just 'have you checked in'. I decided to leave, as it left a lot to be desired when looking for a sweet snack.

Went around 2pm, wanted fresh sandwich
Young girl making sandwich was lovely, the possible manager who took my order was so rude and he made me feel so uncomfortable. Worst customer service l have had in a long time

I attended today for the first timeand I will never go back
The guy who served me was rude to the point of offensive
I understand it was lunchtime however the shop was not busy and he treated me with such disdain that it spilt the experience and the food
Customer service is important especially as all small businesses are desperately trying to come out of covid restrictions
I had only been to the original bakery in Bridgewater previously now I think I would hesitate to return to there as well

Had lunch with wife a pie each and shared a nasty pastie not sure if it was a vegetarian pastie but was disappointing had a lot better elsewhere.

Great bakery and juice bar and homemade soup in winter and the juices are so good and alot bigger than most places and not full of ice so you actually get plenty of juice and the soups are good too and they usually have a few diferent soups with nice fresh rolls from the bakery! A good healthy lunch and good food too!

Best wholemeal bread in Bendigo but please don't buy it because there is often none left for me. I don't know what they do with the sausage rolls but they are also very delicious.

Yum! Best Vanilla Slices. Why? Try one, even if you think you don't like vanilla slices - it's only because you haven't had a great vanilla slice yet! Delicious, luscious, generous, and filling! Perfect morning tea.

Had great food the day before and came back for another round but was disappointed with the service as we were queuing in front of the till area at counter during lunch period and a few people formed a new alongside the glass display area whilst we were queuing. Being in the hospitality industry myself, to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, the new queue may have caused a confusion with the staff.

We were left waiting and as we waited, no one seems to be keen on serving us so we left and had food elsewhere.

Might try my luck again someday but I'm disappointed in the current state of customer service. Would rather pay a place with a great customer service without the best vanilla slice.

Very disappointing waited over 20 minutes to be served then to get spoken to like garbage I will never take my family here again spent over 30 dollars on food and drinks the pies are bland and no flavour and your staff need training for customer service and be more friendly my mates have had the same experience with your staff I should of just stayed in bendigo at least they would of had a range of pies to choose from unlike Bridgewater I still cant not believe how I was treated with my 2 kids and wife with me the doughnut was stale pizza roll was yuck and too much sauce not enough meat on it the only good thing was the chocolate bigM NEVER GOING BACK I will buy a no name pie from IGA it will be better than yours.
